My fiancé and I went out for date night, we stopped by around 6:30pm on a Friday night for dinner, we where sat immediately, Jen our server was friendly and knowledgeable over the menu, and gave us a great suggestion with the spinach and artichoke fondue! It was AMAZING! I would definitely recommend adding more bread to it! For our main entrees I got the rotisserie cab prime rib Queen cut, I don't know how many ounces it was but it was a big serving! My fiancé got the chicken Parmesan, he said the chicken was soft and buttery! For dessert we had a super delicious chocolate cake made in house! Unfortunately it was so good I didn't take a picture! It was tough rating this one. The service was fantastic and ambience was nice. The food was good and bad. The play was nice and tender and had a great flavor. It came with broccolini and a baked potato. Both were extremely overcooked. I don't mind about the broccolini because I don't care for it but I'm not really fond of baked potatoes being overcooked. The steak was so tasty and it splits my judgment on their food. I wouldn't stay away, I would just give it a shot yourself. Could all depend on what I had and who was cooking that night. They nailed it on Service but seemed to be understaffed. For the most part their food standards are above average. The "Clam Chowder and Center Cut Filet Mignon" is memorable! The service here is OUTSTANDING in every way! The interior is lovely and intimate. The food, well, it just isn't good. I got a daily special, which provided a comically large amount of food for a low price, but I'd much rather have spent the same amount on a smaller quantity of higher quality. The steak was just off...not that it was spoiled, it was just really low quality (like USDA "fit for human consumption" grade). Soups were slightly better, but still tasted like frozen soups available at Chef'Store. As such, the prices were just too high. Dessert? Looked a whole lot better than it tasted. Again, it tasted like it was purchased from a restaurant supply store. There really aren't a whole lot of dining options if you're staying at Spirit Mountain, so they pretty well have a captive audience, and they seem to know that, and don't care to provide better food. read more

Wow, I was pretty impressed with this place. It's pretty upscale and they give you tons on focaccia bread with cheese on it with aioli to start off with. The side salads were huge and everyone likes their wedding soup. Vicky was a really nice waitress and did a great job. The older lady with gray hair at the hostess station outside the restaurant is n the hall that takes your name for seating was a trip. I asked for seating for 6 and she thought I wanted a reservation. I was like no we want to eat right now. I got the spaghetti and marinara sauce. I'm t was pretty good. My buddy got the top sirloin and fries and others got linguine with clams, chicken Parmesan, chicken Marsala and they all we delicious. They have huge servings too. The food at amore is really great and a good value. The waitstaff is attentive and the food comes out reasonably fast. I would say the only knock on Amore is the atmosphere. Since the restaurant is in a casino, you have an interesting mix of "casino vibe" over a restaurant feel of its caliber and the lighting is fairly bright. read more

I have been in for dinner four times. The first two times were great- but the last two times- let's just say that something has changed. The prime rib was excellent, and until recently, the sides were high quality as well. Recently a cup of creamed spinach was old, sour tasting and the consistency of glue. Not fit for consumption. Last time I dined, I tried something new. Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo. The chicken was grilled, very dry and not fresh. The pasta was acceptable but the Alfredo sauce was very thick as if it had been reheated many times and had no flavor at all. Not even a hint of cheese. No offer of fresh Parmesan on top, nothing. Waitress was slow to refill water, take plates and never asked if we wanted more bread- there were 3 of us and normally we get two mini loaves, this time just one. I took 95% of my Alfredo home and tossed it in the trash. I sure wish the waitress had asked how my food was, rather than try to hard sell us on dessert no less than 3 times. I'll go back for the prime rib, and a potato, but likely nothing else. read more

2022 Graduation party! Celebrated our cousin/Aunty's graduation . I would have rated it higher from our previous experience because we had such a great experience on top of amazing food. I would have understand their multiple mistakes with our order if there were actually busy, but we were the only big group that was sat down to three tables . And there were maybe one or two couples that came in. What were their mistake you ask? Well let me write down a few since there were too many to discuss I don't want to write a telenovela . First of all it took forever to get our orders in and we were even corrected for trying to give our orders because she wanted it a certain way, so we're nice people so okay. Next, appetizers were not put in on time and our bread was even forgotten and not even a question if we wanted more water or bread . Our table was left behind because they forgot our bread so we just shared from our next door neighbor which is friends and family so it's okay. Then came our order after 30+++ minutes later with no bread to munch on or appetizers delayed so you can picture a bit how we looked like hungry for dinner. We were definitely hangry but still showed kindness due to being a big group (not mention big tip too). In addition, the worst part is I mentioned I was pregnant and that I needed to make sure the meat I ordered is medium well (or at least cooked enough) and it came out as medium rare bleeding all over the plate making the things next to it turn red. I wasn't the only one that they did that too my uncles and dad as well . My dad medium was super rare and meat was super red and my mom called it to go colonoscopy on a plate . I cracked up because that's where he will need to get if he continued to eat that bloody red meat. Not to mentioned, I had to use my my phone flashlight to see what I am eating . That shouldn't be the case but the first night was great with good lighting but second time around they dimmed it so dark that we had such a bad time trying to make sure the food were eating is okay . If we didn't use our flashlight through our phone we wouldn't be seeing the bleeding meat for them to recooked. I do admit the calamari is great, the meat tasted okay Only it wasn't bleeding for a medium well. I think anyone could cook it if we weren't so lazy (hence why we went to restaurant)!lol. Lobster is same as other location and maybe cheaper because I don't think it's worth 50+ dollar for it. The side pastas aren't as good as the regular pasta they served. I do like the shrimp scampi we got on the first day. The second day was just meh. We even got out drinks such as the lemonade washed out and tasted just watered down and not enough syrup. We asked for it to get adjusted and maybe another pump or two more but we were just ignored and forgotten. Last but not least , they messed up the billing and lost one of the grads mom card . she was freaking out because the person who helped us just said "I don't know" or not knowing what their doing bits like telling someone who is in the surgery and the doctor saying "uh oh". Not a good feeling indeed so I totally understand. I'm just glad we had great company with good people surrounding us for a good time to celebrate our family's and friends grad. We do appreciate them taking us in but we are also good paying customers. I do believe having a great server who knows what their doing really makes a difference because not only it sets the atmosphere of the place, but it reflects how good the restaurant is. I forgot her name, but she was so friendly, helpful and made sure we enjoyed our stay despite how busy it was that day . we also had a group so it shouldn't be any different . Although, the only difference is our server and who helped us the second day. I wouldn't mind going back for their calamari and clam chowder. Otherwise, it's nice to try new different place and experiencing a supposedly a nice dining place. read more

We had dinner here while staying in the hotel for my son's birthday weekend. After an evening of slots and roulette we needed to have a nice dinner and Amore is conveniently located in the casino. We all chose to order the steak and coconut prawns special of the night. When the prawns arrived they were huge and so good! It was a great highlight to get large prawns instead of wimpy little shrimp thrown on top of the steak. All of our steaks were grilled nicely to order with great flavor. We also tried the giant mozzarella stick. I have to admit that being one large stick is a little inconvenient and weird to try to eat as an appetizer. The flavor of it was ok but I wouldn't order it again. Our sever was very friendly and our food arrived hot. It was a little difficult for us to get refills on drinks and the bill at the end of the meal. If you're looking for a low key place to have dinner I would recommend the Chinese restaurant near by this one. This one definitely has higher end prices and ambiance. It was perfect for us for a birthday dinner. I still miss the awesome buffet and this dinner cost nearly triple what the buffet use to cost us. Overall, good food, nice place and friendly service. She was about to have another taste of her wine when she noticed there were fruit flies in her glass of wine. The waitress came over and we showed her the glass and she said can I get you another glass of wine. By then my girlfriend was not feeling to well. And we left. It takes a lot for me to not finish a meal but this was one of those occasions. I had the seafood risotto and while the seafood was decent the risotto was too salty to eat more than a few bites. Have had the chicken fettuccine Alfredo 4 times now and it was great 3 times. One time the chicken was kind of tough, but the pasta Alfredo has always been very good. The service is excellent 95% of the time, a couple times we had to wait. The only minus really is the price. It is pretty expensive, and when you go out to the casino afterwards it is even more expensive. read more

Amore has steep prices, but justifies the price with their large portions, exquisite quality (both in menu design and in dish execution), and skilled service. I HIGHLY recommend the clams -- and I don't like shellfish! Every item I tried (a pasta, 2 appetizers, a seafood dish, and a chicken dish) was wonderfully designed, with spices drawing out subtle flavors from the featured ingredient. For example, the wine sauce on the clams had subtle earthy notes, fleshing out the flavor and drawing attention to the contrast between the clam meat, the butter, and the wine in the sauce. The ambiance is, admittedly, cheap and generic, but I couldn't expect more from a casino restaurant. By contrast, the service staff (Vicky, in the case of my party) is extremely experienced (often decades of expertise in the dining industry) and well-informed about the menu, able to offer lovely recommendations, pairings, etc. I strongly endorse Amore -- it is well worth the price, and is an excellent choice in the Salem area for a nice (birthday, anniversary, etc) dinner. read more

Absolutely terrible. Only reason for two stars is Carolyn was an amazing server and worked her bottom off to make things right. Unfortunately, the staff in the kitchen do not give a crap about the food and there was no love in it, let alone "amore" in the ambiance. This place needs a lot of work. Menu sounds amazing but execution was terrible beyond belief. White table cloths but lighting and table placement was not romantic or love inspiring. Husband Ordered lobster piccata and two tightly curled over cooked lobster tails arrived with some kind of minuscule tasteless sauce drizzled on them. Brocolli was dried and dead dead and he said the lobster was extremely briny tasting. Also I ordered a blue New York strip and it showed up medium well and had no seasoning or flavor. My asparagus was okay. My lobster tail was cooked nicely but lacked flavor. Carolyn tried to make it right and offered me a free dessert. Ordered crème brûlée and it was clearly a boxed vanilla pudding with sugar put over the top and brûlées to feel fancy. What a shame! We won't eat there again. it was our 29 year wedding anniversary and Easter and it is now memorable for the all the wrong reasons. read more

The menu recently changed from mostly Italian to more of a steakhouse menu. We ate there last night. The bread is really good, and our shrimp cocktail appetizer was fresh and tasty. My wife got the center cut tenderloin. It was a touch dry, but still what she expected. I got the sanchoku wagyu New York strip. I thought I was scammed. I asked the waitress to confirm it was wagyu - which the chef claimed it was. It was a very tough piece of meat, obviously not wagyu. It lacked the marbling and tenderness of wagyu, and was closer to USDA select. We've eaten there several times before, but I don't think we'll be back. read more

Wow what a bad experience food is way overpriced for what you get and not very good some of the staff was rude.

The entrees were horrible. The Fried Ravioli appetizer was good and so were the Caesar Salads. The pasta was extremely under cooked. The Linguine Vongole was awful. The white wine sauce was more of a soup and the clams were under cooked and tough. I was able to pour out the sauce into another bowl and still had plenty left.
