Especially Tracy! My entire family goes to this salon and two family weddings have been done by them, with absolutely NO complaints from anyone. The family that owns the business is honest and have been doing this for quite some time now. They do not have any mal intent towards their customers and no intentions of trying to "cheat" people out of their money. I would HIGHLY reccomend this salon for all your beauty needs if you haven't tried them already! And on a side note, the owners ARE actually on MUCH NEEDED and WELL DESERVED vacation in the Caribbean...

There are clear color blocked areas. Parts of my hair look like a cheetahs print because the color is splotchy. Just terrible. Then when I followed up even though there's clear picture proof, they just kept making excuses. It shouldn't take an entire day of talking to not get a resolution of a botch job. They said "I left happy". I left because I was already half late to an important dinner because the stylist was running so late. Also, you can see more of the details and underneath when you get home. It also took forever to get someone on the phone for an appointment. Poor stylists, poor management.

They were looking for hair models, so I decided to book an appointment, and now I've been there twice. The salon has a clean, minimalist atmosphere, and everyone from the stylists to the owner is warm, professional, and welcoming. It's also a teaching salon, which I love. It's inspiring to see the level of care, precision, and learning that goes into each service. I've been seeing Sabrina, a talented student stylist who will be hopefully on her own by the holidays. She's calm, attentive, and thorough and truly takes the time to understand what you're looking for. The prices are very resonance, and the location in downtown wheaton is perfect! Their website can be overwhelming when picking a stylist, I would recommend calling to discuss your hair type and what you want done. Highly recommend this salon!

She has done an amazing job with my hair--she's quite genuine and nice. I am a brunette with fine, long hair that I have dyed vibrant pink all over. So, my hair needs to be lightened/foiled then dyed pink, which is kind of harsh on hair, but Anne has kept my hair in great shape. She takes the time needed to do it properly, has a plan for future visits, advises product/product usage, shapes my style well and does an amazing blowout. Very happy!! SPA: The services I've had: massage, pedicure, waxing and manicure. Massage: I haven't done a massage service since my favorite well-studied masseuse left, but it is a wonderful experience that I need to get back to. Pedicure: Pedis are my favorite spa service. It's SO relaxing with massage chairs and excellent & knowledgeable pedicurists! Friends from out-of-town always request I book this service for us. They rave about their pedi experiences! And I do, too! BUT here I must take a star away: Scheduling for 2 or more people has been impossible over the past year and a half; even with two different spa services (one mani & one pedi; or one pedi, one hair appt). Front desk staff has not tried to work with me in figuring something else out; no advising on options like reconfiguring services, add an extra tech for a day or anything else--and I've been going there for 15-20 years! Many out-of-towners have been disappointed; as have I. Waxing: I have always been pleased with their waxing services. Especially my bikini area being extra sensitive. Actually, my skin is very sensitive and I never had an issue with pain during or after waxing. No rashes or ingrowns--from brows to underarms! I've tried waxing at home without success so FG is my go to. Sanitary conditions, skilled waxers--quite good. Manicure: I used to get a regular manicure weekly. I could bring my own polish and get a perfect result each time. I've been trying to save money and do it at home, with poor results, so I need to go back for weeklys. They offer many kinds of manis! I have stayed with regular polish, but if I wanted to try another type, it is available. Overall: A pretty great salon & spa! I've had some appt results that I wasn't thrilled with, but nothing horrible--no botched spa or hair services. I would definitely recommend this location!

For the trial, I worked with Cielo and she was just a pleasure to work with. She truly listened to my vision and what I wanted for my bridal look. I was obsessed with the hair from the jump (it look just like my inspo pic) and my makeup looked great but I had a few things I wanted to slightly tweak for the wedding day and she absolutely made the changes (a bit fuller coverage, warmer more bronzed/blush look). On the wedding day, the team (Kikki, Ben, and Cielo) showed up early and ready to set up. They had their work stations all ready to go by 8am and were very professional. They were so fun to talk to and also really listened to everyone's visions. My husband's mom isn't a big makeup wearer but wanted to get a set of fake lashes glued on and didn't know how, so they even did that for her using their lashes for free. She was pleased. Kikki offered airbrush or regular base for makeup which was nice to have the option. I have a small tattoo on my collarbone I wanted gone for the wedding and Cielo covered it up perfectly. Seriously you could not see it. Ben killed it with the hair and was touching girls hair up close to the end for the girls who went earlier. Finally, working with Liz as the point of contact at Refined Beauty for booking was wonderful. She communicated throughout the entire process, updated my contract when we had a few changes to hair/makeup count, answered all my questions, made my wedding day MU&H timeline for me, checked in after my trial to get my honest thoughts and then checked in before the wedding again to confirm everything. I highly recommend Refined Beauty for any wedding; they can handle a large group, executed our visions, and I can tell they really love what they do!
