I stumbled into Amor Y Queso after the Deep Ellum art walk. I was really excited to find a local place that does locally sourced items for charcuterie boards. I thought at first we'd have to pre-order and come back but the owners keeps a handful of pre-plated items to buy. We landed on the "big plate" which feeds 2-4 and it was amazing. 100% will be back to visit this gem again.

OBSESSED. The owner is so nice and personable, not to mention the cutest shop dog Maggie. I snagged this charcuterie the other day and it's been the perfect pick me up now that the recent freeze has subsided. Her party creations are fabulous and you just can't go wrong. I'll definitely be ordering for all my future bachelorette parties and even wedding showers. Cheese and fruit is always fresh and seasonal.

Great place for an AMAZING charcuterie board!! Love that Sarah opened up this small business storefront in Deep Ellum during the peak of Covid and she delivered on my order for a small cheese platter that I ordered for a virtual painting bridal party. You can order online or call ahead. I called her last Saturday morning (more last minute) and she had my order ready for pickup by afternoon. My friend connected me to Amor y Queso as she brought a cheeseboard to my house over the holiday break and we loved it!! The assortment of cheese will fit all likings and everything is so fresh and arranged beautifully. I got to meet Sarah during my pickup and she's so sweet and was super welcoming into her store. Highly recommend ordering, catering or swinging by Amor y Queso in Deep Ellum! Her charcuterie boards are perfect for parties, gifts and snacking!! read more

I won a giveaway on Instagram which included a little board from amor y queso and I am so glad it did because I was introduced to this super cute shop with yummy and beautiful boards! Located in deep ellum- super cute decor and set up inside. My board had a delicious array of cheeses, prosciutto, salami, grapes, blueberries, blackberries, crackers, and more!!!! I would definitely get more of her boards and recommend to anyone! They have different sizes of boards from individual plates to large grazing boards that are perfect for parties! read more

Husband and I stopped in here today and grabbed a board. It was perfect! Literally everything in it was amazing! If you have ever made a real charcuterie board, you know cheeses are expensive so these are priced great! The owner was so sweet and friendly and answered all of our questions and made recommendations. It was exciting to eat because there were things I have never eaten in the board along with tried and true favorites. The dried mushrooms were out of this world and the sweety drop peppers were a fun surprise. You can order online or call her to make an order. You definitely won't regret it! What can I say about the best thing to come out of a pandemic. This place is LIFE CHANGING! I love me an adult snack, and AYQ brings your childhood lunchable fantasies to life. I've used Amor y Queso many times now, and I can't recommend Sarah highly enough! She's always so creative with her choices (no boring boards that are 90% grapes here!!) and I always get excited to see what she's come up with. There's lots of options for charcuterie these days, but Sarah's finesse and creativity puts her head and shoulders above the rest. I'll never go anywhere else. The large boards are great for parties, the decadent spread always impresses our guests. The boxes are great to make a date night at home special, and they make great gifts for everyone! New parents, teachers, clients, and my mother-in-law... everyone loves them. read more

Highly recommend! I've been twice now. I went on opening weekend and ordered a board for Christmas and both experiences couldn't have been better. Everything I tasted was delicious (seriously! The dried mushrooms, y'all!). The owner was super friendly and the service was great. I love seeing new local businesses pop up and this is one I'm hoping last. read more

I think the they were ready a while back, but our waitress just didn't get them out to us on time. As a result, the dumplings were not hot. It really degraded the experience of the dish. We also had the orange chicken and Sichuan DanDan noodles. The flavors in the chicken were good, but the ends of the chicken were kind of tough, and the noodles seems kind of slapped together with not enough sauce. There was barely any sesame paste. The last time I had these noodles, there were perfect, so it was really disappointing to have this batch be so off. The waitress was pretty inattentive throughout our meal later on, a manager checked in on us, and we had to ask her for the check since our waitress was no where to be found. Overall, we left with a bad impression of this meal. Knowing the Uptown Dumpling is capable of so much more is just a tough pill to swallow.
