This month (May 2019), I ordered a brand new SW 500 from this store in Perris, CA for $1330.06 Guess what? When I was called to pick up the pistol, this store delivered a "beat up" SW 500 to me. It was rusty, dings, scratches, the screw to hold the hand grip which was defected by the screw driver, and the pistol surface had all the steel wool marks rubbed on it. The cylinder had all the grease burn by exceesively shooting. Whoever used this pistol did not brother to clean it up. The worst was the muzzle brake was terribly loosed. This SW 500 has been abused for long time. The manager tried to persuated me it is new. (The only blind person can not tell it is a used and abused gun.) There is NO CHANCE for any of SW products got out of the manufacture in any of the mentioned above conditions. Finally, after several phone calls, the manager agreed to order another "new" one for me. Ten days later, I was called to pick up again. I was delivered very same pistol (same serial #), except it was clean up a little this time. I refused to take delivery and demanded a full refund, the store applied 20% re-stock charge on my refund. This is a terrble gun shop to deal with. Either way, I faced their scam and lied to rip the 20% re-stock or sell a bad merchandise. This store has the most helpful employees I have ever dealt with, especially Jimmy. He will answer any and all questions you have. They walk you through the whole buying process if you are new to purchasing. The employees have worked VERY hard to help everyone who has had to stand in line due the the Covid-19. People complaining need to stop being selfish and think of other people's health. It's not all about you. The employees don't want to get sick either. Horrible customer service! The store was completely empty. There were 2 male & 1 female workers. the guy asked the lady to call another store to see if they had what we were looking for in stock. And we waited for the longest time while she was on the phone having a personal conversation with whoever she had on the phone. Just ridiculous. read more

Would never, ever shop here again. My son had bought a ton of ammo from them using his North Carolina birth certificate. He has even purchased three firearms from them as well using the same birth certificate. He went to purchase another firearm from them and they refused to sell it to him stating that his birth certificate wasn't valid in California for use to purchase firearms. They advised us to get a new, official birth certificate from North Carolina. After spending months trying to obtain a new birth certificate, we finally received it. It had the same, exact verbiage on it as his original one. I once again contacted the the North Carolina vital statistics department and they confirmed that what we received was a "valid birth certificate" and should be honored for all official transactions. Meanwhile, while we were waiting for his new birth certificate to arrive from North Carolina, he applied for a Real ID from the state. They accepted all of his documentation with no questions or hesitancy. His Real ID is now being processed. We returned to Ammo Bros with his new birth certificate, the documentation from the state saying that his Real ID is being processed and the documentation from North Carolina saying it was a valid birth certificate. They still refused to sell him a firearm saying his documentation was not valid and that the state would have dinged them on any audit that was performed. With that, we demanded our money back, went down the street to Sportsman's Warehouse and purchased a firearm with the same exact documentation we provided to Ammo Bros and they have processed it and he should be able to get his new gun out of jail in the next few days. Seeing how they had previously allowed him to purchase firearms and ammo from them before and suddenly disallowed him to shows at best they are not consistent with their training, at worst are not following the laws set down regarding such. read more

Who puts a sign on the front door stating they are out of ammo when there is a line down the building? Normal human thought is not to go to the door but to go stand in the back of the line. It would be a great if there was possibly an employee that came out every once in a while to inform the people standing in line for hours that they are out of all popular ammunition. How about a sign towards the middle of the line stating, "We are no longer Ammo Bros we are just Bros." Thank you for the wonderful communication. read more

Left 7 people outside in the heat without telling us they were closed. The store hours say they close at 7pm but they closed earlier at 6pm. They didn't let me in And I was waiting since 5:00. I know this are crazy times and all but feel like they should do lines for gun purchase and people for ammo or other misc. shopping. Was in line at 4pm and was literally the next guy to be let inside and it was 5:50 and wanted to some mags and other times shopping but all they had to say were closing up already. About a week ago I came in and wanted to place an order for a Glock 26 and also needed to renew my safety card and they were polite and answered all my questions!i also bought a barrel that didn't end up working out due to my holster so returned on 11-2-20 and was helped by Rebecca was nice enough to help me with which can be a pain but she was polite and explained the policy and helped me out!i then returned at after 5 and the line was huge!she was coming out to let people come in when possible due to social distancing!she informed the line she may not. E able to get to every one due to time which was to be expected!she then let me and my buddy in and was willing to do a private party sale of a handgun! By the time we got out of there the store was closed but she remained polite and helpful!we talked back and forth and joked the hole sale which is nice to feel like you were dealing with someone who is human for one and enjoys and is good at her job!lol and I forgot to mention I was there till after closing the visit before but they did there job polite and respectful non the less!thanks again to the staff at ammo bro's and esp Rebecca!!i will not only be a returning customer when my Glock comes in but for life! read more

Heres the thing. I HATE going into gun shops and talking with the staff. It seems like everywhere you go, the staff feel like you are burdening them. Like they have a million better things to do than show me a firearm Im ready to buy. As a well versed enthusiast. I hate it. I cant speak for all Ammo Bros. But this location has never ever acted that way with me. Always with friendly respect. That goes miles with me. In fact I have purchased 3 firearms at this location because of the service. The staff at the Perris location are great. The one Gentleman that helped me is a Marine Corps Veteran. He is a very intelligent person that knows his weapons and ammunition. Unbelievably unprofessional and ignorant employees here...one of them was constantly making the most absurd political statements and comments to the point where it was quite awkward and uncomfortable...political views aside the ignorance and unprofessional workers here were cringy to say the least. At one point the guy ended a rant by yelling outwardly to the store AND IM SORRY IF THAT OFFENDS ANYBODY BUT YOU MUST BE AN IDIOT...Wtf...I ignored the red flags and purchased three firearms anyway. When I purchased ammo the guy was like "only people from Compton buy this much ammo!" Nobody laughed and again it was just awkward. I've been to gun stores all around the US and this experience was insane!!!! One of the guns had broken night sights which I called and they refused to acknowledge after paying 1800 for a handgun! Customer service is horrible, getting anyone to help you is next to impossible. I have been to this location 3 separate times now with the same outcome. This last trip I asked if they carried a holster for my gun, they said "probably Not " Then proceeded to stand next to me and watch me look through all their holsters like I was going to steal something, never offering to help. The only redeeming value to this place was the young guy Alex that sold me my rifle. He helped me through the whole process and made sure it was a smooth transaction. Management needs to seriously step their game up. At no point during my transaction did they state they had reduced hours. Not a big deal because I called to make sure I was good to pick up my gun, except they aren't answering thier phones. I made the hour long drive after work and was met by a sign on the door saying they were no longer letting customers in past five, even though they don't close until six. The woman that came outside and told me this, was nothing but rude and short about the entire situation. After I pleaded with her that I work six days a week and physically cannot make it out any other time she reluctantly let me in. Seriously, had Alex and the other young Asian gentleman not been so kind this place would get 0 stars. I wasn't the only person to state this and a few other customers in line were complaining of the same thing. One lady said this was her fourth time!!!! I went in to purchase a rife on 4/10 and found a Ruger PC9 carbine. I decided it was a perfect rifle for our home and completed the transaction. I went to pick up the firearm on 4/28 and upon getting it home and opening the package ( you are not allowed to handle the firearms due to covid) i found the ghost ring sight was not attached to the rifle and a screw was missing. i went back to the shop immediately and spoke to the manager Rebecca. She told me that she cound ship it back to Ruger for repair or......i could contact Ruger myself ( meaning... i really don't want to take care of this for you). I told her i did not have the time to do this and since they sold it to me in that condition i would like for her to take of it for me. she said she would and would keep me updated. i had not heard from them since 4/28 so on 5/8 i e mailed them and got a response on 5/11, they had not been able to get a hold of Ruger. i decided to e mail ruger on 5/12 and was able to speak to a cust service rep from Ruger on 5/15 and they are shipping me parts to fix the rifle. The manager Rebecca told me she had been trying to contact them. ( for two weeks) She lied to my face. How is it she couldnt get a hold of them for two weeks and i was able to do it in 4. The Ruger customer service rep also told me she had been trying to contact the shop for two days. Do not buy anything from this place... They will offer you service until there is an issue. They are not friendly and obviously lazy or incompetent. read more

My hubby and I really can't understand why anyone would want to give this place less than 5 stars. We both got our license here with no issues. My hubby didn't have any issues with purchase last year. They have wide selection of WELL everything and maybe that's why they get busy which is a good thing like the apple store but when I went it wasn't busy at all so maybe call first before going if you're in a hurry. I took my time before making my selection. Rebecca is very approachable with a cool vibe and she knows her stuff (Incredibly knowledgeable). I learned so much from her my last three visits. It took me a while after getting my license to make a decision as I'm very picky with everything I buy. She hooked me up with a great purchase for my mother's day gift and ammo. Range is going to fun with the hubby. The owner is hilarious and maybe some people on here should lighten up and take a chill pill or two. He always greeted us upon entry and made sure we were helped so I'm so confused. I even took my baby in all 3 times in stroller and he liked it there and they were baby friendly.
