I have never reviewed a business more than once. I am only too happy to break that trend. I was looking for a last minute treat for my wife after having her car tinted for her birthday. I thought my wife was long over due to be pampered at a Spa. Imagine my surprise when I was looking for Spa's that Amita Holistic Spa was up and running again. This was joyous news indeed. I called the number and spoke with Sumita. Once again she was wonderful and allowed for me to make special arrangements in person. I met her at her new location and I couldn't believe how inviting, relaxing and peaceful it was. I am so happy for you to have found such a nice tranquil place to take care of us. Sumita listened to my request and took care of everything very quickly. I was anxious because I had to wait a week ( by choice ) for my wife's special day. Sumita greeted us outside her Spa and you could just feel the positive energy coming from her. It was almost palpable. She led us to the back of her entrance through a heavily planted yard, with fountains and statues. It was so relaxing and peaceful Sumita took my wife inside to enjoy her Sacred Makana Healing. I was allowed to stay in the yard and meditate. I had a nice experience just enjoying her yard. My wife came out shining and smelling wonderful. 3 days later my car still smells great. My wife said her experience was even better than the 1st time. My wife was relaxed, happy and pain free. We had a great weekend and it all started with Amita Holistic Spa. Sumita you are very special and we are grateful for your kindness, compassion, and expertise. There is no other place for us if we want to get pampered. I had been mentally exhausted lately, and I needed someone to help me heal. So, I took my problems to Yelp. Searching for someone to help me. Enter: Amita Holistic Spa I arrived early and I filled out the necessary paperwork (typical massage stuff) and after, I was brought into the most amazing room I've ever been in. This is no exaggeration. I'll upload photos, but I pretty much took them for inspiration for when I decorate my house. It started off with a foot soak. My feet were in warm water with rose petals (my theme) and Sumita explained everything and talked to me along the way. After the foot soak and amazing foot massage, it was time for the lomi lomi massage. I have had massages from all over and hands down, this is my all time favorite. After the massage, she told me what my energy was telling her. Boy, was she spot on, and told me my homework. After talking and balancing my energy, she asked if I wanted hot tea or water. I told her hot tea (which i always love) and she was kind enough to put it in a togo cup so I could drink it at my leisure. I sat in the meditation room and talked to her for awhile. This spa is hidden upstairs where rarely anyone goes to at the Halekuai Center in Kapolei. I stumbled upon this place as a christmas present! hooray for gifts! It was actually really easy to find, once I knew it was upstairs from Aloha Sub/Starbucks/papa Johns/ Thai Lao etc... you get it. It's on the 2nd floor. Cant miss it. :) Sumita and Erigo were our massage therapists. It was such a great experience all the way from the entrance. We signed our papers and then were asked what type of massage of focus points we had. As far as services, they offered Lomilomi, swedish, deep tissue, combination, energy healing and some others. I opted for the 60 min combination massage. After we chose are service they asked us to leave our shoes on the shoe rack. We slipped them off and then off we went into the sliding glass door. You enter and all of a sudden you are in this dim relaxing hallway and escorted to your massage room. It was so relaxing and peaceful, I didnt even get the massage yet. Sumita and Erigo checked if we were allergic to any essential oils and also asked if we wanted the bed to be heated. Warmed beds!! Count me in! It has always been a hidden pet peeve that I got cold during massages, so it was nice for aa change to have this. Once the massage started, She asked me to breathe in, and breath out. I smelled lavender from underneath the table. It was so soothing, it cleared my nasal passages before the massage started. That's when I knew, this was going to be good. If you don't follow me, you need to know that I'm a frequent gym goer. So I am ALWAYS sore from working out. Sumita could tell that I had a lot of tense spots on my shoulders and back. She also gave me a lecture later about stretching before and after workong out. How in the world did she know!!!? Amazing! Too good! Anyhow, she did a phenomenal massage and I felt 100% relieved after the massage. I had this bad neck pain for a couple of days, and it is gone now. Thank you! Erigo also did a great job on my boyfriend's massage. He said it was the best massage he's had in a long time. Just when we thought it was over, they show us to the sit down area to drink water and relax after the massage. It was so beautiful. There was a separate seating area near a fountain. I don't even know how I missed this area when i first walked in. Anyhow it was the perfect place to rejuvenate after the massage before leaving. They have a membership option, similar to Massage envy. Basically yoy get a massage once a month and get a discount on the service of course! As First time customers, we got a discount as well. So make sure you ask about it! Appointments are recommended but walk-ins are welcome on the weekdays! Overall, I'm pretty impressed with this place. It brought some different things together making it worth visiting lots more. I usually prefer the full service spas with all the amenities, but this place made me reconsider. Overall a good experience but I'd hesitate the suggest a prenatal massage there. Pros: Very friendly staff. Owner called ahead of time to confirm and also give us a heads up that parking can be tricky. Good pricing. We got a couple's massage and my husband loved his massage. He asked for his therapist to apply strong pressure and she sure did. We started late bc of parking (so really make sure you allot time!) and they made sure to give us the full 90 mins. Prenatal: For the prenatal massage, they only offer a male therapist which isn't my first preference but they were upfront about it. While the therapist was very kind and sounds like he'd done prenatals before, he had me start on my back which wasn't the most comfortable. He did a craniosacral therapy to start which I could have skipped (I felt antsy and wanted to move on since my lower back was starting to ache). And then lastly his techniques weren't my style - he applied more small, quick movements whereas I was hoping for more smooth, flowing motions with good pressure. He wasn't using any lotion/oil at first but he was quick to adjust when I spoke up to request it. To note, he was receptive to feedback but it's just not something I want to be thinking about during a massage. The facility was clean and relaxing. I was told from a co-worker that there's was a new massage place in Kapolei. So, I yelped it and there they were. Called to make an appointment and 30 mins later I was getting a massage. When I walked in, I was greeted right away. We filled out some forms and before I could finish massage therapist came out. Didn't have to wait. Ambience was perfect. Relaxing, calming and quit. Room temperature was a bit warm, but come to find out it wasn't the room. The table had a warmer. Which wasn't a problem because after awhile it got a bit chilly. Now, let me stress how awesome my massage therapist was. I've had many massages. Debbie, was awesome. She didn't talk as much as most do. She asked how the pressure was and that was it. Of course before the massage she explained what she going to do and where I needed most worked on. She was on point. There was even extra time to work on my shoulders and neck. I have found someone I'd love to see on a normal basis. On top of that, normally I would pay $90 to $100 massage, this one was only $58 for 60 mins. Although it was a promotion, I'd go back. On our first day of vacation, my girlfriend and I got the couples massage for only $180. I have to say off the bat it was so worth it! My girl and I both felt this was the best massage we've ever had in our lives, and we go quite often together in San Diego, CA. I had Sumita massage me, with the lomi lomi Hawaiian style healing massage, and my girlfriend had Jade massage her. They focus on what you need, and feed off your energy. I left feeling amazing! What a way to start vacation. Sumita suggested we cleanse our bodies in the ocean, and I had a beautiful experience swimming at sunset - very spiritual. I highly recommend this place. I'm glad we choose Amita Holistic Spa. Over the phone with no appointment made, we were referred to John who specializes in neck pain, who came in within the hour to help alleviate the pain and stiffness my mom was feeling in her neck. Being her first time ever getting a massage, John put her at ease and made her feel comfortable explaining the procedure. She was amazed and highly recommends John to anyone who seeks pain-relief and relaxation. She came in with more than a stiff neck and left being able to turn her head side to side effortlessly with less pain. Well....I'm done. I am done dealing with no parking, horrible appointment system and no one answering the phone. I tried calling on saturday just after 9 am and nothing, but an answering machine. I then went to their website and it since i was within a couple of hours of booking the appointment the website would not allow the booking and told me to call. I called multiple times and no answer again. So the website won't let me book and no one will answer the phone....? i finally book an appointment for later in the day and as i am driving to the appointment, almost entering the parking lot, I get a call saying my massage therapist has "stepped out" and won't be back for another hour at least....? who is managing this place? did the therapist not know about the appointment or did management not notice it until it was too late? I cancelled my appointment and won't be back. not even a offer of compensation for screwing up the booking....this place will be out of business within a year..... read more

I must say that I liked the ease of the online appointment system. On a whim I decided that I needed a darn massage my head and back were singing a sad tune. So I booked and drove over. As soon as I stepped through the door I was in love with the comforting aroma and vibe. This joint is the best place to sit down and forget your worries. I came in, and the vibe was so relaxing I was instantly put at ease, and I'm nervous by nature. Then in walks John, who I must say is very nice and very respectful. Then Sumita who is lovely and sweet. Fast forward to my session with John, who was awesome I like John, dude made my headache go away. I have chronic pain, I have Fibromyalgia, I've had surgery but now I have you guessed it friends John . I will be seeing him once a month at least for a good 90 minutes. I waited until right before bed to post because I wanted to see if my headache came back. And it did not, that's a first for me. I'm so happy to have found such a great place on this side of town! I had a wonderful experience at Amita Holistic Spa. Jamie did a super job on a deep tissue massage for me. Jamie had great technique and got rid of the knots in my shoulders and back. Whew - she had a workout, but lucky me! Afterwards Sumita came in to do an energy healing for me. If you have never tried an energy healing before, you really should try it at least once. Sumita is the owner of the spa. I can tell that she really cares and her main goal is to help people. Having the energy healing was new to me so when Sumita came in I really didn't know what to expect. It was actually a combination of energy healing, lomi lomi and massage. Sumita is very intuitive and she knew exactly what I needed. She didn't speak much at all and started with lomi massage. Then she started Reiki energy healing on me where she held her hands a few inches away from me but I could feel the warmth and loving energy directed at me. I felt very peaceful and open. Next she very lightly passed something over my limbs and body, later she told me it's called 'bone washing'. That was an amazing feeling too, almost like brushing away all tensions and leaving out through the bottom of my feet. She finished off with a bit more massage. I have been to many spas on the island and this is by far my favorite. When I walked in the front door I was greeted by a very friendly receptionist who offered me water while i relaxed on the couch. I was welcomed by Sumita very friendly and polite. I came in thinking it would be a quick in and out service but let me just say she exceeded all my expectations and more! She did a makana healing on me and she literally touched me in a way I can't explain, but it was all positive. From beginning to end she helped heal me inside and out.
