Stopped by Casa Ramos, one of those neighborhood spots you hit when you want good food without all…read morethe hype. Prices are fair and the food delivers. I got the carne asada al mojo ($17) and a piña colada ($15), and both were solid. The meat had good flavor and the drink was refreshing -- did not disappoint. Service was friendly, just a little slow at the start waiting for someone to take our order, so that's why it's 4 stars instead of 5. Once we ordered, everything went smooth. Restrooms were clean, which matters. Parking is street parking, but that's pretty normal around the neighborhood. Overall, it's a chill local spot with good food and prices -- I'd come back for sure. ---

Went here on the recommendation of a few locals. Certainly not disappointed…read more Food and drinks were great - and service was above par. The decor and ambiance is much like other Midwestern Mexican restaurants, but has a different vibe. Stuck with seafood and vegetarian options. Diablo shrimp was good and the Chile Relleno made for some good breakfast leftovers. Recommend if you are in the Emporia area and looking for a relaxing evening.

Inside, the space is airy and vibrant with great acoustics and a chill little bar area that sets the perfect casual vibe. We started strong with the drinks. My friend went with the house margarita while I opted for the spicy pineapple jalapeño. Both were so incredibly good that skipping a second round wasn't even an option--we doubled up! Our server was wonderfully patient and attentive, gracefully making a few extra trips to our table while we hopelessly debated what to order. I finally settled on the Pollo Relleno, which came loaded with Mexican rice, refried beans, and a taco. My friend grabbed the tres crispy tacos paired with charro beans. When the plates arrived, the presentation was a little messy--but what it lacked in looks, it more than made up for in flavor. Excellent drinks, solid comfort food, and great service. We'll definitely be back!

A good little spot! Is it the best Mexican food in the area? No. Is it solid enough that we'll…read moreabsolutely be back? Yep! First, immediate bonus points for giving everyone their own salsa dish. No rationing salsa at this table! Although, the spicy salsa will cost you an extra $1.99. We tried Los Tres Tacos with two beef and one chicken, the quesabirria, and the Periban Avocado. Everything was very good. The flavors weren't quite as bold and in-your-face as I usually like my Mexican food, but it was consistently solid across the board. The charro beans and refried beans were especially delicious. My biggest complaint? Everything came out just barely warm. Not cold, but definitely not hot, and I think that made a BIG difference. Had everything arrived piping hot, this meal could have gone from "very good" to "exceptional." Overall, good food, cute spot, individual salsa bowls, and plenty worth coming back for. Next time, just bring the heat... literally.
