Tucked away in Taos is one of the most unassuming coffee shops you'll ever find. From the outside, you might drive right past it. Step inside, though, and you'll immediately understand why there's always a line out the door. My daughter and I each ordered iced lattes. She went with vanilla and oat milk, while I stuck with my go-to combination of oat milk and honey. Both drinks were outstanding. Smooth, balanced, and packed with flavor without being overly sweet. I've had coffee all over the United States and in several countries around the world, and these lattes easily rank among my favorites. The coffee impressed us so much that we couldn't leave without grabbing a bag of their light roast to take home. What stood out just as much as the coffee was the atmosphere. The staff was incredibly welcoming, the service was excellent, and despite the constant flow of customers, everyone was smiling. Yes, you'll probably wait in line--but trust me, it's worth every minute. One funny moment from our visit: I had just found an open table when a gentleman told me, "I was saving that one." I laughed, told him to go right ahead...and then watched him walk over and sit at a completely different table. It gave my daughter and me a good laugh and made for one of those random travel memories you don't forget. Final Verdict: If you're visiting Taos and consider yourself a coffee lover, this place belongs at the very top of your list. Fantastic coffee. Friendly people. A welcoming atmosphere. We came here on the first full day in Taos after a recommendation from a local shop owner. The avocado toast with a sorrel paste was extremely tasty. The avocado was creamy, the sourdough toast was perfectly toasted and the sorrel paste gave the dish a spark that made every bite a pleasure. The huevos rancheros were outstanding. The beans were perfectly cooked and seasoned. The green and red chile sauces were both on point and better than what I got at more well-known restaurants in town. The smoothies and chai masala were very creamy and tasty. Additionally, the vegan potato and corn chowder was a delicious lite lunch item. Very pleasant service as well. We came here every day and had terrific meals each time.

Even if you might not be a fan of miso based (everything), you should try these bon bons anyway as they don't taste like miso at all. For its interior, it's mostly and simply grey on walls but this emits the "chicness" that doesn't overshadow the theme of its business. You should also pay attention to the ceilings and the floors. I quickly glanced at each section of the store inside. The kind gentleman upfront wanted to assist me but after asking him if it was open tomorrow (it would be Sunday), he said yes to which I gave him my promise that I would be back tomorrow. The same man assisted me when I was back the very next day to make a purchase. Not sure if he remembered me or not. It's not chocolate bon bons or tortes you can enjoy at this store. The cookies for the sammich were pretty sweet on their own, so the homemade ice cream definitely helped with that. I also tried one of their homemade Salted Caramels, but I wasn't a fan of them. The kind owner gave my guy and I some treats for our dogs to try and they loved it!
