Best New Mexican Breakfast in Town!…read more Absolutely incredible experience at Legacy Cafe! We came for breakfast and left completely blown away. I had the red chili pork tamales plate with scrambled eggs - perfection on a plate! My partner got the baked egg plate with green chili and couldn't stop raving about it. Jake is hands down the most welcoming host you'll meet, AND he makes a seriously mean latte. Chef Simon's talent shines through in every bite - you can tell you're eating food made by someone who truly knows their craft. The atmosphere is just as special as the food - love the decor and all the historic photos throughout. So much character! This is the kind of place that makes you want to become a regular. 5 stars all the way - we'll definitely be back! Thank you Jake and Simon for an amazing morning

My wife had the panini build your own panini turkey and smoked Gouda and the garden salad which was made well and tasted good. Next was my spinach salad with chicken. The chicken was seasoned well and the salad was fresh and delightful. The service was good but not exceptional but they were nice. The ambiance was old school coffee shop and antique store. We loved it. Great place to eat and serving up good food.

I'm going to start this review off by saying this- some of the absolute worst customer service I…read morehave ever experienced had taken place here at Tomorrow and Tomorrow. We were so excited to check this place out as we had heard many great things, and that was the first spot of the day kicking off our anniversary. The person at the counter taking orders was extremely rude and unprofessional when it was our turn. She was condescending on every question we asked since it was our first time in. We were curious what the signature latte was since it doesn't tell you on the menu "It's..rosemary?" and then rings up said latte and huffs and puffs like a child when we said we were gonna do two iced lattes "Ugh okay lemme take the signature latte off the order". We go to order breakfast sandwiches but there's a sign that says "No bagels" no big deal, we asked her what do they come on instead "Sourdough....." with the rudest tone and look on their face. My partner asked if she can get a side of tomato jam for her sandwich to a response of "Ya I don't know probably"..at this point I was ready to leave as I am in the industry myself and have been so for 20 years and I'm not gonna let anyone treat me like that. We stuck around though as it was our anniversary and this place was recommended by many others when we told them we were going to Taos for our celebration. Coffee took 20 minutes to make two iced lattes, food took another 30ish and they weren't that busy either. We waited so long that someone who worked there eventually came up and asked if we needed help with anything- we stated we were waiting on our order and they said it was gonna be another 10 minutes. All that waiting around for burnt sourdough, half melted cheese, and bland sausage. Kitchen seemed frazzled although it wasn't busy, felt like they threw our food together to start cleaning the kitchen to close, although we weren't there near closing time. The tab was also somehow $52 for two iced coffees and two mediocre breakfast sandwiches..talk about a ripoff. I haven't even had breakfast that expensive in Aspen or Jackson Hole. One star because the coffee was really good, and the bathroom was cool but that's about it. Everything else about the experience there was lackluster, and I will not recommend this place to anyone who visits Taos. This experience was so awful that I had to send in an email in hopes they respond/take my feedback and improve on things, but I will not go back next time I'm in town personally to see if these issues have changed. Mainly due to the woman at the counter but also the food was very underwhelming especially for the steep price.

Saw good google review of this place, hence wanted to give it a try. The disappointment is when I…read moreordered lox. I was told their bagel is under cooked so they substitute the bagel w sourdough bread. Don't get me wrong I like sourdough. Edge part of their sourdough bread is so hard to chew, be careful w your teeth as they are really hard. It's also so cold. Americano is fine, just a small cup. Their clean cup for water seems to be really dirty. I'm a bit concerned about the hygiene. Ambiance is fine.

Our server, Chaniece, absolutely made the experience. I told her I wanted to order some of the most authentic Spanish dishes on the menu, and she came through perfectly. She was knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, and genuinely seemed excited to help us experience the restaurant. If you have questions about the menu, ask for her recommendations--you won't be disappointed. My partner ordered Martin's Breakfast Burrito, and I had the huevos rancheros. Both were fresh, flavorful, and exactly what we were hoping for. Michael's Kitchen is only open Wednesday through Sunday from 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., so plan accordingly. We arrived around 9:30 on a Sunday morning and had about a 30 minute wait. It was busy, but the wait was actually enjoyable because the restaurant has several little nooks filled with antiques and artwork by local artists. There was plenty to look at, and the time passed quickly. Taos has many wonderful mom and pop restaurants, but from what I learned during our visit, there are fewer locally owned restaurants serving traditional Spanish cuisine. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to try all of them, but I'm very happy we chose Michael's Kitchen. Between the authentic food the welcoming atmosphere and Chaniece's outstanding service, it was one of the highlights of our visit to Taos.

Omelet was tasty and filling- slices of American cheese vs shreds was a little unexpected. A cherry on top of the cottage cheese. Literally. That's weirdness yall. But check out the bakery case. 100% the best part of the meal was the pine cone cinnamon role. I'd come back just for that.
