On October 5, 2024, we purchased a 2024 Chev. Traverse and we only had this vehicle for three weeks. My family and I were so excited that we got a new vehicle especially the grandkids. On October 24, 2024, something happen to the engine and it was making weird noises, the vehicle was shaking, engine was smelling like rubber, engine light and couple other lights came on too. As I was driving it back home the vehicle shuts down for ten minutes and I turn it back on and we went straight home. I told everyone in the vehicle to get off because I thought the vehicle was going to blow up. As soon as I shut off the engine the fan was still on, I believe it was trying to cool down the engine. After it cool down, I turn the vehicle back on it still was shaking, making weird noises, and smelling like rubber. The next day Friday, October 25, 2024, I called Amigo Chevrolet and I let them know what happen to the new 2024 Traverse. They gave me AAA 1-800-number, so I called AAA, and they came and towed it back to Amigo. That evening I called Amigo and ask the Sales lady (Clara) that purchase the vehicle to us. I asked what's the update with our new traverse and she informs me that they only have one Service Tech., and he won't be back until Monday. I said "ok" I'll call back next week. The following week I called Amigo Chev. and I talked to (Preston) at the Service Department he informed me that they did a diagnosis test and said there was a dead cylinder one in the engine that was not producing the PSI, and they're going to do more diagnostic tests on it. I said "ok, I'll call back next week." The following week Monday, November 6, 2024, we went to Amigo. The sales lady (Clara) informed us that she was told to stay out of it and she told us to talk to (Preston) in the Service Department. We went to (Preston) and he informed us that his department has nothing to do with it and to go back to the Finance Department. We went back to the sale lady (Clara) and she went back to the Service Department and retrieved a 1 800 number to GMC company. We called the GMC company and explained what happened to our new 2024 Chev. Traverse and all we were told is they will inform their supervisor and they'll contact us within 3 to 4 business days. A week passed and no one from GMC returned our call back. On November 15, 2024, I called Sandia Lab. Federal Credit Union (Darlene) and I explained everything to them what had happened to our new vehicle. She informed us that her supervisor will contact us with in 3 to 4 business days. Same day I called GMC company and talked to(Karen) and asked what's the update on our case. She informed me that they closed our case due to unable to contact our home number. This person Karen reopened the case and will send all the information to her supervisor, and someone will contact me or my cousin within 3 or 4 business days. Today is Saturday, November 23, 2024, and have not heard from Sandia lab. Federal Credit Union or GMC company and not even Amigo Chevrolet. I know they're all open on Saturdays. This is ridiculous and Amigo's has bad customer service. We are not giving this company business no more and I will let people know out there. We deserve a brand-new vehicle and I'm not taking that 2024 traverse back because even though they fix it something might happen to the engine again. Maybe, we should get our old 2020 traverse back from Amigo's Chevrolet. Six or Seven years ago we purchase a Nissan impala from Amigo Chev., and we only had this vehicle for only one month because the engine locked up. I'm so crazy to come back to Amigo Chevrolet. Look at where we are now. I don't know what to do Maybe I should call KOAT channel in New Mexico hopefully they can help us. *Update* So I got a letter from my bank and they have not received the title yet. We got the car in October and it's now February. My bank sent them a check 5 months ago for the car, and they don't even have the title yet. Not a very friendly environment. Not kid friendly. Sales people walk around mad. Like literally rolling eyes. For outrageous prices, I think you would want them to buy from you. I sat at a table just listening and observing the atmosphere. An they were talking about clients badly. I even listen to the conversation of both our sales people talking to a blonde lady in there office about how we were demanding. So yes, We experience this service as well. Financing over a 70,000 dollar truck. Yeah we're going to want certain things met and kept. My truck was dirty upon purchasing. Brand new floor board all scratched due to mud. Sales rep must over poured gas on the truck. Smelled like it. DEF was not full upon buying. An he has a million of excuses. Guy was always gone after each test drive. We test 2 vehicles both same result. My truck was barely at 200miles and engine lights already on. On our brand new truck. We called the guys. They were just disrespectful. An it was not even on the truck appearance or engine light. We felt already like we're demanding as they said. So Like I said from the jump. Not good service. But not all departments are like this. TRIED TO SCAM US. Had my fiancé take our truck to there service shop to see if they could pull a dent out. They told her 1100 dollars because they had to replace the panel plus 11 hours of labor. I just pulled the dent out with a 5 dollar plunger from Walmart and the truck looks good as new. I don't know about there sales men as I haven't had to deal with them but if the rest of there business is ran like there service shop then they will probably try and scam you too. Awful experience with a warrenty repair as well. Had to take the truck back 3 times for the same problem only to find out from the mechanic working on it they never told him what the original problem was and that's why it wasn't getting fixed. On a long drive from California to Texas, our battery light came on periodically and was worrying us. We thought the alternator might be going out, especially since the car has over 170k miles on it. We called ahead and they said they could squeeze us in to check it out. They got on it pretty quickly. Even though it seemed to check out ok, no wires were loose or intermittent, so we decided to change the alternator anyway. We walked down the street to get a bite to eat (even though they thought we should let them take us on their shuttle). When we got back, the car was ready! It's worth going out of town to buy your new Chevrolet. My mother has purchased the last four of her vehicles from this establishment. They treated her very well, until this most recent purchase. She had made an arrangement with the Finance Department and has been very loyal to the agreed payment plan regarding something her GAP Insurance was fail to cover. Now the Finance Department has been harassing her with telephone calls and meaningless threats. She has made repeated attempts to stop the harassing calls but they continue to persist. Her Sales Person however, has been a very congenial and helpful individual. He has been assisting my mother out of the scope of his duties in rectifying this situation. read more

Bought a vehicle from this dealership ( Amigo Chevrolet ) At the time I seen a crack in the window shield. I informed the salesman Brian. He said they would replace the window shield if and when the crack got bigger. We took the vehicle home and the next day I heard the brakes squealing. So I called him up and he asked us to bring the vehicle in. We did this 3X, calling and taking the vehicle in once a week. And everytime he'd say that there was nothing wrong with the brakes. Fast forward 9 months. This past Sunday my check engine light came on. I took it to Amigos on Monday. I tried speaking to a gentleman in the service department who ignored me, acted like he wanted nothing to do with me. I tried explaining my situation to him and he wasn't being anyway helpful. My mistake was buying a vehicle from this dealership. They apparently don't care for their customers after they make a sell. So to this day, 9 months later, my window shield hasn't been replaced. Brakes were never looked at, no evidence it was even looked at. Please go someplace where your business will be appreciated and backed up with the promise they promised you whilst trying to win your business. read more

The salesman don't even know anything about the vehicles that they are selling in their lot. They didn't even know how to work the push buttons or didn't even know what were for on the vehicles. They didn't even care to tell the rebates on the cars. They just said there was no rebates for the vehicles and the price you see is the price you pay read more

Our battery ran out in our vehicle and we had to pay a local towing company to put our vehicle in the shop for us, costing $125. They told us they would troubleshoot the vehicle in the morning. We arrived at 8am and they told us they would call us for updates. We received no call and decided to wait in the waiting room instead. We waited until 12pm and it was then when customer service informed us that the mechanic assigned to our vehicle was out test driving cars and finally was working on our vehicle. He charged the battery, which was dead and the service department charged us $90 for an hour of labor. We were out at 1pm. Whether it was poor communication or a bad day for us, it took 5 hours for us to get our vehicle serviced. This experience will now have me proceed with caution in future service jobs at Amigo Chevrolet. read more

My Experience:After you had my truck for 5 weeks in the body shop to repair collision damage, I had to return the truck the next day because the check engine light came on and I was driving on 'Reduced Power'. Seems like several hoses had not been connected securely in the Collision Repair Dept. I again had to return a 5 days later when the 'Check Engine' light again came on. I was told it had to do with the exhaust system but they could not duplicate the problem after I waited for 4 hrs. This past weekend, I noticed a rubbing under the Right side front wheel and when I examined, I found that the push pins/screws were absent from the wheel well housing and that it had rubbed against the tire until it created a hole in the housing. I am SO Disappointed in the poor workmanship from Amigo Chevrolet. I considered taking my truck to Sands Chevrolet in Sun City, AZ this weekend just to have them check the work and repairs that had been done in Gallup, but time did not permit me to do that. I thought I would get my truck back, after the repair work, in factory like condition, as it was prior to an uninsured driver causing the damage to my truck. Maybe it would have been if I had taken it to a USAA preferred contractor rather than to Your Chevrolet dealership. Now I understand why you aren't on USAA's Preferred Vendor list. read more
