Brought my vehicle in to get water pump fixed.The first time they "fixed it", they broke the sensor and tried to say it wasn't their fault. They fixed it, and then said it was a different issue- the timing belt. They said it would be ready the next day. When we picked it up, THE BOLTS WERE NOT TIGHTENED CORRECTLY! I made it a mile before taking it back a second time. They apologized for not tightening the bolts and blamed it on a mechanic who was not working on my vehicle. The vehicle continued to run "rough" the following days, followed by decreased acceleration and jerking. I called them and was very upset with the WARRANTIED work that was performed. I did raise my voice to the receptionist and called back an hour later to apologize for my frustrations. She said to bring the vehicle in. Saturday: we called as soon as they opened to bring the vehicle in- we live roughly 40-45 minutes from Gallup. The receptionist said it was okay to bring it in and they would even give us a rental. When we arrived, I made eye contact with the owner, Ali E-Almahdawi, who then immediately vacated the premises. After seeing him, we were told they would not work on the car because of how I spoke to the receptionist the day before. Understandable. I ask to speak to the owner as the work is warrantied, but I'm met with hesitation and no one offers to help. The mechanic who worked on my car refused to take a look at it and another mechanic, unrelated to the incident, started calling me stupid for recording the incident. I started recording once I noticed the mechanics laughing about the situation and did not feel comfortable not documenting my time there. Several minutes after the mechanic called me stupid, he was in the area of my dad and I and I pointed him out. Immediately he says "Don't fucking point at me" and my dad got upset with his tone. The mechanic calls me dumb for recording (again) and asks that the cops are called on us. All of this has been recorded for my safety. During the entire incident, I was respectful, I was polite, but the same cannot be said about JN JA. When I asked the receptionist to point me in the direction to file a complaint, she refused "service" to me. The lack of accountability is astounding. We were initially quoted around $400 for the work and when we finally got it back, it was nearly 680! They never contacted me to inform me of the additional services they were performing. read more

We asked for parent's SUV transmission diagnostic. We pretty much knew the the trans was toast. But Jn Ja confirmed it for $60 and said they would apply that to any fix if we followed up with repairs with them. Katrina, front desk, was able to find a used transmission with less than 100k mi from Phoenix. They adjusted the hourly rate for first time customer. We also had the oil pan seal and main seal to engine replaced, Since it was easy to access with trans out. They were short on staff so it took longer than expected and we had to call in for updates when it passed their ETA. This was a major job, $3600 total. Front desk was always polite and accurate with cost estimates. Katrina and Alicia were at the front desk. I've only met Ali, the owner, once. The mechanics were helpful and explained what was going on. Everyone was professional and kind. Things went well enough that I'm having my Jeep serviced here. I was going to do the work myself but the heat, garage, tools and injured back deterred me from doing it. So let's give Jn Ja a shot. Fuel injectors, ignition coils, plugs were replaced. It needed them bad. There were so many error codes, I needed that done to get to the root of the problem. My Jeep started spitting fuel out the exhaust, major hesitation on loaded acceleration, and stalling at idle. Once the new parts were installed, there was no more gas coming out the tail pipe. But the MAP sensor was still going crazy. They looked at all the vacuum lines. Their mechanic noticed a slight movement in the engine compartment when he opened the throttle. It was a small piece of hose connected to the PCV valve. It was old and would collapse on the vacuum pressure during acceleration. 3 professional mechanics missed that at other shops. The MAP sensor was replaced 3x, wires teated. It was just an old vacuum hose and the bad fuel injectors. Availability, service, thoroughness, professionalism, politeness and reasonable costs are all on point. Just be sure to communicate what you want done, get an estimate, and sign off on work done. My daughter's van broke down in Gallup on a thousand mile road trip. The tow truck driver recommended Jn Ja Auto repair, which was the luckiest and best advice she could have received. She arrived a few minutes before closing, and they greeted her warmly. Within 15 minutes they had diagnosed the failed alternator and ordered parts. Within 90 minutes the van was running again. DON'T GO HERE, THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF AND TAKE YOUR MONEY! I had my car towed to this shop because it broke down from overheating. They said they replaced the fuel pump which they charged me $900.00 and called me to tell me to pick up my car that it was ready, so i did. I drove off thinking things were good but later down the road before leaving gallup to head home my car broke down and wouldn't resart. I called the shop to see if they can tow it back and see what the problem was and they said no i have to pay my own towing and they will diagnose it but to hurry because they were closing. i was UPSET i had my children in the car and we were stranded. Manager refused to speak to me and I had to pay to get it towed home which cost me 150.00. This place is horrible i felt like they only wanted my money and to push my car out when it didn't even drive more than 7 miles out. read more

I was traveling across the country and my axle shaft broke and I called about 20 different places and they were the only shop that took me in on such a late notice. They even stayed open later just to replace the broken part and made sure everything was good to go. Some of the nicest people I ever met. I can't say enough great things about this place! We broke down on the hwy and had to get towed I Googled repair shops and prayed for the best! I got got the best. The only place that had our part was in Albuquerque . they let use a vehicle to get a room. I rolled in with a leaking transmission late in the afternoon on a Friday. I was on my way to California and needed to get 200 miles down the road to my campground. Best service experience that I have ever had and I am in the service industry myself. Travelling for vacation with my son from Albuquerque to Las Vegas, NV and noticed while gassing up in Gallup, our radiator blew out all the anti-freeze all over our engine. Randomly looked up shops and chose JN JA. Everything from start to finish was "top-notch". We thought our trip was doomed, but Ali kindly greeted us and put us at ease. He found the issue (hole in radiator stem) and the part (radiator) very quickly and quoted us a very reasonable price. Mind you, we just popped in, yet they helped us immediately that morning. The lady in the office was very friendly and offered us fresh coffee and they gave us a loaner car to go have breakfast somewhere! When we returned from breakfast, I saw my truck outside the shop and thought something might be wrong, but it turned out that it was already done and ready to go! Ali even cleaned the engine bay.
