Mansfield Meadows - Empty Living Room

    Mansfield Meadows

It's sad how everything has depreciated since the Pandemic in the United States…read more I lived at Mansfield Meadows from 1996 thru 2001. It was quiet apartment complex including the area. I was thinking of returning to the complex. However, I am shocked of the latest reviews on the property. The first question that comes to mind is, has the property changed management companies? I have lived in a complex for eighteen years, similar to Mansfield Meadows and we hove gone through three property management companies. We experience the same issues from Smoking in the Hallways, Servicing Cars in the Parking Lot, Tenants expressing their aggression in public. Considering on how expensive it is to live in Massachusetts's, it is not worth the return to be subjected to such an environment. J. J. H., II

Attempts to reach them have been unsuccessful and they do not comply with Massachusetts law in regards to move outs and your security deposit based on this. The units are also falling apart, which is why we got out of there. Leaks almost every month somewhere in the building on top of other issues. The maintenance team does their best, but these units are old and between the outrageous rents and poor office staff experiences, save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

Oxford Apartments - Neutral plush carpeting throughout combined living and dining area

    Oxford Apartments

Okay, first off, I have lived here when it was Manor Drive. I have been here for over 30 years and…read moreI can tell you that while some of the tenants were "rowdy", I never had a problem with them. People knew each other and were friendlier. While I have heard it referred to as the "projects", I have never thought of the buildings or its residents in such a negative manner. That is a stereo-type and those words need to be used appropriately. I grew up here, and I attended the Clapp and Jones schools and I have good memories of friends and family, holidays, etc. Now for what is Oxford Apartments. Well, we NEVER had MICE in the apartment or a carpet that is cheap quality and ripples up, and problems with not having HOT water year round-NEVER!! Not when it was Manor Drive. When a problem came about the group of women who worked here were always addressing it in a timely fashion and the snow clean up was not a problem. Everyone was TOLD to move their cars at the same time and the residents did, and the snow was cleaned up and NOT PILED BEHIND PACKED CARS MAKING IT A PROBLEM TO GET IN YOUR CAR IN THE MORNINGS AND HAVING TO RESHOVEL SNOW. This plan that Oxford has for snow removal is not working right. I do my part by being outside and having my car moved, but do not expect everyone to do that. If the other residents do not come out, still plow the empty spaces so that the people who did move their cars can pull into the cleaned spots. Oxford has problems. And yes, the previous reviews are correct. These tenants are telling the accurate truth about everything. Oxford has also the problem with solicitors. Even with the signs posted, they still come into the building to harass tenants. NEVER HAPPENED AT THE OLD MANOR DRIVE. They may have "fancied" up the old Manor Drive and changed its name and did landscaping, significantly increased the rent price and other upgrades which I really do not understand but, I preferred the old Manor Drive. Things worked well and were sturdy. People living here had nice apartments and did take pride with having nice things. Things were replaced in apartments if they were damaged or old including the tile floors. Remember CLASS is not determined by how much a person has, or how or where they live, or how much they pay for something, but by how a person carries him/herself and takes pride in what they have. There are other things I could address in this review but will not. :(

I have lived at Oxford Apartments in Stoughton for about 3 years now. Oxford Properties had taken…read moreover the property I believe in 2017 or so. When they first took over, it was like a "honeymoon" phase. The lawn was looking amazing, they provided 24/7 on call maintenance, they built a picnic area in the back with two picnic tables and two grills. Fast forward to 2019 our rent has increased 500 dollars in two years. We've made multiple maintenance requests about a leaking/stained bathroom ceiling. They fixed the "problem" in November 2018, however they said they would paint the ceiling, now April 2019 and it's still stained yellow. The maintenance worker Bob, had been with the complex prior to Oxford taking over, and is still there. He seems to get overwhelmed a lot, and if ask a question in passing, he either ignores you or tells you he is busy. The maintenance office is where he spends most of his time, which doubles as a garage. He and his son tend to use is to fix their cars on the weekends. The photos on the website are deceiving, my kitchen is not even close to as big as the one they show, we don't have dishwashers, every bathroom looks different, and smaller than the photos. The carpets in the apartments were replaced when I first moved in, and they are cheaply done. There are crevices that the carpet isn't completely secured down. I have made the office aware of this, and it hasn't been fixed in three years. There is a laundry room. Two washers and two dryers, for six apartments. One of the washers has been broken on and off for two years, and doesn't lock or "rinse". So there is always a line to do laundry, no matter the day. The grills are only out for the summer months, and other tenants usually have family cookouts on the property, which I can appreciate. However, there should be some sort of sign up or something so you don't plan on making dinner on the grill, and there is a birthday party going on complete with directions and cake at the grill area. I have recently bought a home, and my mortgage is much cheaper than rent at Oxford apartments. I would not recommend moving in here.
