On our first visit we were told the vehicle would be ready for a full test drive -- it wasn't prepared as promised. They apologized, which was appreciated, but it set a tone. We were told their team had thoroughly gone through the vehicle. When we asked about two Carfax accidents they were dismissed as minor and resolved. Mechanically the car seemed fine -- but cosmetically there were several things I only discovered through my own inspection: -- Cracked plastic trim on the driver's side that appeared to be unrepaired accident damage -- A quarter-size paint chip down to bare metal on the center of the hood -- A cigarette burn mark on the console that wasn't visible in listing photos -- the shifter knob appeared to be positioned over it in every photo -- A smoke smell that only became apparent when the car warmed up on the second test drive The salesperson acknowledged he noticed the smell the day before my second visit but didn't reach out to disclose it beforehand. None of these are catastrophic issues individually. But the combination of undisclosed cosmetic damage and a known issue that wasn't proactively mentioned left me uncomfortable enough to walk away. Do your own thorough inspection and test drive when fully warmed up.
