Being a person who loves a good road trip and has been to many of the states, this isn't my favorite gas station, but Loves Travel Centers definitely has a special place in my heart. While I would consider this spot average, I will continue to stop here once to twice a year when needed.

Plenty of gas pumps for Featured here as well. The staff was very friendly inside as well. The prices here were a little pricey and the shelves were fairly stocked as well. I called Spankys right away and they were able to squeeze me in for an estimate (free by the way) that same day. I walked in and was greeted by a friendly smile from the receptionist. I explained my dilemma and Chris the shop owner came out to take a look at it. After a quick inspection he was able to get the blue prints for the parts I needed printed out and an estimate drawn up. He explained the service throughly and made sure I was on the same page. Also let me know of possible delays and how long it would take. My car was serviced the next week. I dropped it off Monday night after hours and received a call the next afternoon about a the slight delay (which I was notified in advance, so I greatly appreciate that) and by Wednesday morning it was good to go. Chris was very helpful, transparent, and because of the previous work that has been done on the car (not at Spankys!) he was creative. As the original bumper was not on the car but was still able to get the job done! He knew all I wanted was to be street legal and not interested in the aesthetics of the car but I'm sure if that's what I was interested he'd be able to assist me in that too! Overall I would highly recommend this family owned shop as they are honest, affordable, and very helpful. I appreciated the great communication and transparency. *knocking on wood* I hope I don't need to stop by for auto body work anytime soon but I know where I will be taking my cars if I need to get the job done! And again, highly recommend you check them out Thank you Spankys!

5-star customer service + 0-star Corporate policy = 3-star review?…read more I stopped in the store yesterday and the very friendly cashier asked if I was interested in a candy bar from the counter, which I politely declined. She tried again "they're buy one, get one for a dollar!" I declined again, and heard her whisper "dang it," and she looked genuinely sad... I asked if she got a kickback or something for selling candy, and she explained that the employees bonuses are based solely on how many candy bars they push, and further explained that they get a monthly "quota" they must meet as a team, and if the quota isn't met no one gets the monthly bonus, no matter how many items an individual team member sells. How much of a bonus, you may ask? $50/per employee. And the monthly candy quota? 14,000 candy bars. FOURTEEN THOUSAND. No one should be made to beg for a bonus which is essentially what this money-grubbing Corporation is forcing their employees to do. (I bought 4 candy bars.) Do better, Speedway.

Let's put this Speedway station on the Yelp map, shall we?…read more It is new. It is clean. It looks a lot like some of the other Speedway locations that have been built/rebuilt recently. I stopped in because of a billboard I saw about 10 miles south along I-196. It said 'diesel lanes', so I knew that I could get in and out with my big rig. They are about a block east of the expressway, just past the Pilot. I took the right turn lane and it was on my immediate left. Easy in, I parked just past the fuel pumps and off to one side. Since this is new, it is relatively spotless, both inside and out. I walked in from the back door and everything was bright, modern and up to date. It was so new, I'll bet some of the food and drink items didn't even have expiration dates yet (grin)! They have limited transient parking for big rigs, maybe 10 spots in all. No showers are available. Right next to K&R Trucks, a local truck and trailer sales and service company.

Our van was brought in for a pre-purchase inspection and besides the inflated man hour rate they are extremely unprofessional and untimely. A mechanic at the shop started voicing his whole personal vendetta and personal opinions and nearly scared our buyer to back out of the deal. Our van passed the entire inspection in their words "with flying colors," however one of the mechanics kept carrying on with the buyer about how little it was worth, the cost of converted vans, etc etc etc. His knowledge on even the price of the van chassis alone totally disregarded him as a factual source of information, which helped discredit him and his personal bias. If you pay $450 for a MECHANICAL check of a vehicle, then that's all it should be. The amount of additional negativity, blatantly wrong assumptions made, and misinformation was just a sprinkle on top which is why this review is getting made. Keep your trucks, RVs, buses, and fire trucks away from this center until they figure out professionalism on a job.
