I went to their site to order more. I was at 21% they don't auto schedule until 20%. Their site says my account is on hold. 14 years, never a missed payment. On hold? Called, they said my credit card is only charged for the budget amount. The $90 tank rental fee is due. But I just got the bill last week! Why am I on hold? Then, talking to them this morning, she tells me that I'm at 21% and they don't auto-schedule until 20%. THEN she says I'm lucky. They have a bunch of customers without any fuel. WHAT???? I feel so much better. I have to get away from these people. We are calling around to others. I kind of expected just a little better after 14 years as a customer that never (that I remember anyway) missed a payment. Then to be told I'm lucky because they have many customers without fuel? What am I to think. They do not care. They see things from the point of view of their desk, not the customer. Their accounting system is confusing and maybe even shady. The people are so clueless - I'm sorry to say that. I know they are real people. This is a classic case of a company becoming so focused on their internal protocols that they forget they're in the business of keeping people warm. As a retired professional and a veteran, I expect reliability and clear communication--two things they clearly failed to provide.

Their delivery guy left the bleeder valve open, I didn't find out till 4/5 days later when I finally smelled the propane. At that point 4/5's of the tank had already vented out into the atmosphere. I called to complain and turn the automated deliveries off so I could be there to check the tank after any future deliveries. They said they would look into it and later offered to pay for 2/5's of the tank that I never used. When I called to cancel the service, I was told that "We're being very generous with our refund, sorry it's not enough for you." I guess I'm just entitled to expect to actually receive the gas I'm paying for.

I am writing to formally express my frustration and concern regarding the lack of fuel delivery to…read moreour home despite multiple calls and assurances from your company. My husband, AJ, first called on 1/16 when our tank was below 30% and also notified you that the monitoring system was not working. He called again on 1/20 and was told we were scheduled for delivery on Thursday the 22nd since you would be in our area. No delivery occurred. I then called on 1/23 to report that we were between 20-25% with snow and ice approaching, yet we still did not receive fuel by 1/29. On Monday 2/2 after being given the runaround/ told someone would call me back @ 8:20 & 12:40 when I attempted to get an answer. Then I called back after 4p as our tank had dropped to 10% or less. I spoke with Claudia, who stated we were scheduled for delivery on 2/5. After 4:00 PM today (2/5), I called again to confirm since no truck had arrived and was told drivers would be working until 8-9 PM and that we would receive fuel tonight. We are now (8:45p) below 5% (essentially empty). AJ has contacted your emergency line and was told someone should arrive within two hours. Thankfully driver showed up at 10p to fill tank and how ironic we were told he was around our area all day and we weren't on his ticket. Adding to our frustration, Tiger Fuel has had no problem drafting our account monthly, yet we cannot get the basic service we are paying for. This situation is unacceptable and has placed our household at risk during winter conditions. We relied on repeated assurances from your company that delivery was scheduled and coming. Please provide: 1. Why the runaround btwn different offices when customers call. 2. An explanation for the repeated missed deliveries and lack of communication. 3. Information on how this failure will be addressed moving forward to prevent recurrence. Sincerely, Mary & AJ Florian

The driver for this month's delivery took off with a propane adaptor we've owned for 20 years, and good luck getting it back. No one answers the phone in Winchester, no matter how long you let it ring. We tried driving to the office there - and found it's closed. In its place, you're supposed to call the phone number no one answers. We can get an answer from the Boston headquarters, but all they do is transfer our call to the same no-answer number. Shopping for a new propane delivery service and resigning ourselves to never getting the stolen adaptor back. If you're looking for propane delivery, keep right on looking - you don't want these folks.

Horrible customer service. Do not follow through with promises. Very much a "tell the customer…read morewhat they want to hear and get them off the phone quick" company. We lost all propane to our tank and our house has been 40 degrees for the past 2 days. I have been told they are sending someone to fill our tank and check the lines for a gas leak, which still hasn't happened over 48 hours after initial call. Have been told they cant give an ETA. Have been told to stay in the house for when the tech arrives, have also been told to evacuate the home. Have been hung up on after asking questions very politely. This is not a company to go into business with. Strongly suggest new owners to buy the tank from quarles and shop for another propane company. Zero stars if possible.

I have always had relatively good experiences with Valley Energy. However, I'm now done based on…read morethis past experience. I guess it does take only one bad experience. Poor management when questioned. I had an issue about whether 800 gallons was actually delivered to my home. I have a 1,000 gallon propane tank -- when I got to about 150 to 175 gallons, I called for a refill. When I received the refill, they refilled to 800 gallons (which is typical -- 80% total). They gave me a bill for exactly 800 gallons delivered. I questioned the invoice because I knew I called in when there was no less than 150 gallons, which means if I had 150 and they put 800 in that I'd have 950 total. They said they put in 800 and my tank must have been completely at zero and that my gauge must be wrong. I check my gauge every week and know it was not at zero or even close to it. My email was initially ignored, then it was clearly misread when it was responded to and not sent to management. I had to call to get a manager (or I think they connected me to a dispatcher), who tried to placate me to get me off the phone with the understanding he would follow up in a couple of ways, which he never did. When I finally followed up a few weeks later by email, the assistant contacted the the manager (or dispatcher) who told her to pass along that the driver who made the delivery was contacted and said that there were in fact 800 gallons delivered and everything seemed ok at the time of delivery. My emails to Valley Energy and my discussions were clear in that I was not seeking not to pay for gas I did not receive. I was interested in finding out if my gauge was wrong to have it fixed, or to learn if the gas truck that did deliver to my home reported the wrong amount as being delivered (they track all amounts all day) -- I indicated perhaps at the end of the day there may have been an extra 200 gallons on the truck. In any event, they handled it wrong and they lost a customer. I was with them four years and will be no longer. This experience leaves me with a taste of mismanagement, possible dishonesty and siphoned gas in my mouth. I'm not suggesting Valley Energy actually billed for gas they didn't provide to me, but the way they handled this incident, it gives me great pause to consider whether it is just bad customer service. I've lost my faith in them.
