Having spent my first 18 years growing up in central South Dakota on a farm, in a family of carpenters, I developed a lifetime of independence from the variety of skills that I was taught. Skills ranging from operating machinery, raising crops, garden produce, and a variety of fowl and livestock, to problem solving, mechanical repairs, and building custom homes.Throughout everything that my parents and grandparentsI taught me, there was always a deeply rooted appreciation for for the value and pride of a job well done.
