I my search for a new mattress I had already gone to two mattress stores and was on my way to a…read morethird when I happened to pass by "Sleep Bargains" at 316 SE 123rd Ave. Suite C1, Vancouver, Wa.98683. I saw a sign out front that said, "locally owned" so I turned around to check it out and I am really glad I did. Shane Fraley, the owner, did a wonderful job explaining coil versus hybrid, versus two types of foam. I had fallen off a wall several years ago and suffer from hip pain. I was beginning to feel my older mattress was aggravating the hip pain. Shane showed me several different options he felt would be best for me. I, like many people, wanted a good quality mattress at a reasonable price. I must admit shopping for a mattress is hard, especially when going from one store to another. At a previous store I had found a plush model I liked and a floor model hybrid (hybrids are more expensive overall). The hybrid floor model was at the top end of my price range so I didn't want to buy new but I really liked the way it felt. Shane had two non-hybrid models that I liked but he also said his other store (1217 NE 99th St #109, Vancouver,WA 98685) had a higher quality floor model I might like. At the second store I met Robert Cannon. Robert said his boss had called to let him know I would be coming. Robert, like Shane, spent a lot of time helping me. I was again torn between two mattresses. One mattress I liked I had seen at the first store and one I had seen at the second store. I told Robert I wanted a way to combine both mattress. Robert said there was but it was out of the price range I had initially wanted to stay within. Both the mattresses I was trying to decide on were on sale and the one I liked out of my price range was not on sale. Robert called Shane who agreed to give me a Memorial day special on the mattress that combined the two features I liked (plush, hybrid). I feel I was given plenty of time and attention and in no way pressured into buying a mattress. I was so happy with my purchase when I left the store I called Shane to thank him. Two other couples came in as I was finishing up my purchase. One was picking something up and the other was purchasing a mattress. Usually mattress stores are pretty empty but this tells me these stores understand customer service. I recommend you buy local and get great customer service at Sleep Bargains.

When my friends and family need a new mattress, I will definitely be recommending that they go to Sleep Bargains!

Silver generic bullion can be purchased at a local coin shop at $1.25 - $1.50 above spot price. Silver American Eagles typically sell for spot price plus $2.25 - $3.25.... U.S. silver .999 coins carry a higher premium than generic silver rounds. This Co. Vault Whole sale of Portland Or. sells on Ebay and their premium is outrageous. The current spot price ( today = 7/5/10) is $17.74 per oz. if you add a $3.00 premium to American Silver Eagles the price would be $20.74 but they are asking for $23 plus change for each oz. of American Silver Eagles which translates to a 5 - 6 dollar premium per oz. of silver..... There are some Companies out there that prey on those who are new to buying bullion. Watch the spot price and whatever spot is add $1.25 - $1.50 for generic silver rounds and if you are looking at American Silver Eagles, take the current silver spot and add $2.25 - $3.25 for the premium. Of course you're looking fot the lowest premium so buy the lowest premium you can get. Don't be fooled by silver rounds that have a picture of an eagle and have the words American Eagle (they are not gov. coins) they are generic silver rounds. American silver eagles are coins, and these coins are legal tender but the generic silver rounds are not recognized by the gov. as legal tender. Don't be fooled by their claims of buying proof silver rounds or coins as a better investment choice. Silver is silver..... just make sure it is stamped .999 Ag. or .999 silver. Canadian silver mapleleafs are .9999 argentum or pure silver. With silver rounds you might want to stick with reputable private mints..... As far as I know Vault wholesale has good products but they are not as wholesale as their name claims to be..... Shop around and get the best deals. Remember .999 Ag or .999 silver and .9999 Ag = pure silver .925 = sterling silver and it should be stamped on goods and then there is junk silver of the U.S. which = .90% silver on dimes, quarters, and halves that are 1964 and below. Junk silver is pretty much safe to buy since the U.S. gov. minted these coins from 90% silver and all you need to do is check the date for security (1964 and below) Kennedy halves in 1964 are 90% silver but Kennedy halves from 1966 - 70 are 40% silver and anything after 1970 is cupro nickel or pretty much garbage. Morgan and peace dollars are 90% silver. Some Ike dollars are 40% silver and others are cupro garbage ( you can check these by looking at their edges. If the edges have a red streak through them they are cupro if not they are 40% silver. U.S. Nickels from 1941 - 1944 are 35 % silver but be careful. During 1941 ( the beginning of 1941) a portion of Jefferson nickels were minted 75% copper and 25% nickel ( I think those were from the Denver mint. You can easily tell if the nickels you have are 35% silver by looking at the reverse ( if there is a P, D, or S above the Monticello building then it is silver if not then what you have is a good old nickel. I know this all sounds boring but I hate to see people get ripped off. If you are buying silver bullion as a hedge against the falling dollar don't listen to those who say it is safer to buy numismatic coins. Numismatic coins are expensive and WHEN the dollar collapses NO one will care what mint or what year the coin is. The only thing that will matter will be if you have silver......... Good luck
