I ordered ten windows in November 2021 from Stephanie. I was advised that it would be 3-4 months. In February I was told that the windows were in the warehouse and I would go into the schedule. So far so good. Then the excuses started: - we are behind because of rain - we will have weekly schedule meeting on Friday- will let you know - Rain, behind, will have a meeting... In April after hearing every excuse twice I sent a demand letter and gave them until May to install or refund my deposit. On the last day of May their 2 man crew showed up with three windows and announced that one window "would never fit". I was asked to approve cutting into the window frames. Stephanie showed up and I heard her excuses as to why a custom window didn't fit, then we called the "manager" who danced some more. He wanted to have a meeting and would call me. that call never came. In November 2022 I sued in small claim court. They filed a late answer only after they were in default and a hearing was scheduled to award damages. In January 2023 it was sent to mediation. Their attorney tried the same tired justifications I had heard before, and I basically told him that his facts were incorrect and why- point by point. He conferenced with his clients and offered to refund my deposit and all my costs. Lot of work to get back to even- If Yelp allowed a negative rating I would give it to them. They have a BAD rating at BBB They have a BAD rating at the secretary of state Avoid like the plague. read more

Ugh. This company is horrible. I purchased windows through them. One of the windows broke. They will not send someone out to repair. So, now I have to find another company who will repair the windows. They will not even refer me to a technician! And the windows are still under warranty. They are saying that they do not have supplies to repair windows. But wait, they have the supplies to install windows? It has been weeks of back and forth. Stay away from this company. My husband and I just used this company to replace all of the windows in our home. There was a total of 28 windows. However, after the company sent someone out to measure all of the windows and my husband sent pictures of all of the windows, the contract was written for 26 windows. My husband signed the contract for 26, and later Tra called him and said that they had miscounted and left one window off of the count, it was their mistake and he would take care of it. When they came to install the windows they were another window short. I called to tell Tra that I wanted the window that was missing replaced and I would pay for it. That's when it all went bad. Tra became very belligerent and difficult. He made misrepresentations and was unnecessarily defensive, I believe he overcharged for the windows that were added to my invoice. When I attempted to discuss this, I was directed to Julie. Again, false statements were made and when I called her out on it, she hung up on me. All in all, the windows are all in and I paid them what they requested, I agree with some of the other statements made here regarding customer service. However, the windows seem to be installed correctly now and I am not aware of any issues with the windows that were installed (its only been 2 days). The interaction with the company was stressful and unnecessary and it makes me sad that this is the way the company handles their affairs. read more

We ordered our windows in May, 2021. Finally, in November, 2021, they came out and performed a partial installation. During the process, the installer broke one of our front windows while trying to install it. Two windows do not fit. One was broken. NO screens for the upstairs windows. Poor installation. This is August, 2022, and still no follow up from this company. When I have called, there is one excuse after another. In May,2022, I was told they were still waiting on the locks for the missing window and the broken one. It has now been 15 months and still no contact from this company. Had a good experience with the instillation but after this it has been horrible. we have 2 windows that leak and one of them won't lock or close properly. we have called at least 9 times now and they keep saying someone will get back to us. we finally speak to someone and he tells us we have to basically troubleshoot ourselves. gave us a video but now won't return our calls. the windows are barely a year old. the first one to leak we called a week after instal and no one has ever come out. we found the second leaking window about 3 weeks ago. we paid in full tight after install so they got their money and they are done with us. not good business practices in my opinion. read more

DO NOT purchase windows from America's Choice Windows. Half of the installation crew quit during installation plus one tech stood on a couple of window sills and broke them. I had to fight them to actually clean the windows after installation if you can imagine that. Also, I've been trying to get a window fixed under warranty for over two months now and and it appears I'm going to hire another company to repair it on my dime. One of their window manufacturers has gone out of business so that just makes everything a real mess. The ladies in their Houston office are not much help and one of them actually asked me to call her back versus her make the effort to call me back. Worst company I have ever dealt with. Took a year to get my windows, then some screens were the wrong size and a window was broken upon arrival. I was told the new screens and window would be here 2-3 weeks, it took more than two months to receive in the mail. The company still has NOT come to install replacement window or new screens and it has now been 4 months from installation and over a year and three months since purchase. They also did not fix damage caused while installing windows, see pictures attached. On February 13, 2020, I had America's Choice Windows come and inspected our home and determined which of his windows we needed. After signed the agreement and we gave him a 50% down payment of $6,500, with a timeline of just a few months. Several months passed and we made multiple calls to Mr. Martin and his employees with the same excuse of "the windows have been delayed and you will have to wait. Unfortunately, after six months of delays, and being promised a delivery date that America's Choice Windows missed, I had no other option and cancelled the order. On July 3, 2020, I sent a certified letter cancelling the order and requesting a refund. I will not be doing business with this company. I made an appointment to get an ESTIMATE for replacing 10 windows as advertised for $3980. I realize that this is probably base windows, double pane and that's what I wanted. The sales person was kinda weird and I was about to ask her to leave. She would not take the time to prepare an estimate or measure my windows and exclaimed that their company does not provide written estimates, even though I told them that it was I needed when I made the appointment. Additionally, she was trying to put the one call close on me, (is your wife available today so we can get this written up) bs. Also, still waiting for a call back from the home office. Nearly impossible to communicate with them. Workmanship is very poor. Especially in regards to caulking and foam sealing. No foam used at all. Sales representative Stephanie has a totally different attitude when a problem occurs. Tra Martin, the owner is very combative and rarely will return a phone call. This company makes significant investments into radio advertising. They pay the radio station for this air time. I have seen a lot of negative reviews but my experience was very good! Tracy and his team set a time line and stuck to it. The windows are definitely nicer than anything you can buy off the shelf for yourself. The team was professional and arrived on time. They removed the old windows and installed the new ones. The caulking was done very well and looks like a solid seal. I had very old wood windows and now have these beautiful new ones! The crew took care of all the trash and even used canvas coverings to capture all the debris that fell during removal. It took just a little bit longer than expected, and one window was missing but it showed up a couple of days after the initial installation but the guys came out and put it in. Horrible experience from a post sales experience. Maybe things were promised/sold that led me to choose them over competitors even at a higher price. When I had issues/questions/concerns the sales person could have cared less as she already had her money. She wasn't interested in my concerns and only got defensive and back pedaled and made excuses as to why what she sold and what I got were. It the same. I paid half up front thinking my windows would be installed in several weeks, well as of to date 4/20/2021 I have no windows or even a factory delivery date. We had replaced over 20 windows in October 2020. Windows are average quality, but installation bellow average. Installation was done very poorly, they don't use square, no shims, no foam for insulation. Just slam the windows in, tighten screws and caulk. Windows are measured purposely smaller for easy fit. One of the windows ballance keeps disconnecting because of the widow measured too small, and no shims used. Big arch window is leaking during a heavy rain. Two of the windows were delivered without screens. We were promised the will bring them in a couple of weeks. So far we did not see any screens, nobody came to fix the leak and the balance. Every time we called the local office, they promised that it will be soon we get windows fixed and the missing screens delivered. I called the main office, their mailbox is full and does not accept any voice messages. Nearly impossible to communicate with them. Once they collect the check, it is impossible to have them come back. Don't buy windows from this company! Note: We bought windows from this company, because of Jim Dutton advertising on the radio. First, we have been happy with the new windows in our home. We have noticed they have cut down the noise and certainly updated our house. We have had many compliments on the windows and been asked about the company we used. Unfortunately, we have advised our neighbors against using America's Choice Windows! The reason: this company has the WORST customer service and follow up! Their salesperson, Stephanie, came out and did a great sales pitch, gave us a timeline for our installation and off she went. Our installation should have occurred in February - we heard nothing from them! Started calling to learn the status of our installation and were met with promises of returned calls, no answers and unprofessional staff (Michelle). They finally advised there were delays at the factory because of Covid. Our installation occurred in March. The installers made a much bigger mess inside our home than we anticipated but we were just happy to have it over with. A damaged screen was installed and we were not advised of such, it was found when we were just wandering around as they we working. We were contacted by the salesperson, haven't heard from her since the first meeting, she was chipper and wanted to know about the installation. She was advised of the damaged screen and said the installers could rescreen on site. When their representative showed up at the end of the job he was advised of the torn screen. He showed us how to pop the screen in and out and said he would have a screen shipped directly to us. Three months later . . . nothing! Last week we contacted our salesperson and advised of the open item; she indicated she would contact the office and would have someone call to set up a rescreening, indicating this should have been done at the time of installation. During a call today we were not allowed to speak with a manager, furthering the frustration level we are experiencing as this project is still not a closed item for us. We are still trying to understand why a simple screen rescreening has not occurred when we were advised numerous times that America's Choice Windows was on our side. This is such a small item on a punch list that could have been completed months ago. We have once again been reassured that a team will be coming out to take care of this problem. We will no longer take recommendations from Jim Dutton! Poor customer service and communication earns America's Choice Windows an F-! UPDATE: We was contacted by Julie, of America's Choice Windows, she had identified as the manager, requesting this review be removed because they were sending someone to take care of this three month old request. This company started the install in September 2021. As of right now, December 5, 2021, the install is still not complete. We sent numerous texts to the sales person, with no reply. On November 19, 2021 I contacted the customer service number and was told to send pictures and contact info to Edwin at 346-757-7632 so we could get put on the schedule. We ordered two very small (18" x 48") fixed pane windows on October 24, 2020. It is now June 6, 2021 and we still have not received the windows, over seven months. I have called repeatedly through this time and they have never indicated that they have any idea when the windows will come in. I was very disappointed that Jim Dutton (Texas Home Improvement radio show) promotes the company, which is one of the reason we contacted them. I ordered my windows in August. Heard from the sale rep two weeks later even recieving a greeting card. Windows were supposed to arrive late October 2020 or first of November 2020. Never heard from anyone so December I went in person to find out about my windows. They had not been delivered but were scheduled for Dec. 17,2020. Courtesy call would be nice.The 17th came and went and no notification. Once again I went there. Then I was told they were there. But they had 10K windows in warehouse so they could not tell or show me. They told me they have to schedule for rain and behind schedule etc. so on. So how many months did this take you ask. Febuary 2021 installed. Thanks to the inspector being there or the installers would have just installed the plastic mold without the 2x4 between the double windows. Hats off to him. The sales person had me remove all my aluminum siding from window frames. They pulled every window from the inside. Maybe my trim could of stayed. When I complained about this. The answer was. The trim might have got bent I moved all my furniture and they were supposed to cover it. The beds still ended up with glass etc. in them. I moved the furniture back also. The installers wanted to leave me the caulk to do myself also. Let's see move furniture , remove all blinds etc., remove trim and install trim myself, and wanted me to caulk also. Which I did because they don't do trim. The guy explaining to me operation was hard to be near. (breathe stop a charging bull) Put someone else in charge of that. Back to the trim. I had to install all new trim using 1x6 because of the gap left by the new windows custom cut because one window was higher than another in the double windows. Almost every window is out of square and pitch UNBELIEVABLE! So hear it is April and I had a screen missing and still do not have it. Did not get a reciept on last payment nor the lifetime warranty that was quoted to me. Long and short of it. I am very unhappy with this group. So unhappy that I called the sales rep to ask if these installers were contractors or employees and do the they know how to use a level. They are employees. There is not a piece of this install or purchase that would make me say to my fellow Americans . Use these guys! read more

Buyer beware...if I could leave a zero star review I would. Painful process. Had to call multiple times to have my window install finally scheduled. They wrecked my home by putting holes in the siding and tearing up the trim. Owner promised to have it fixed on June 28th. Today is July 10th and our home is still not repaired and now has water damage in the window areas. Office staff is decent. Salesman was great but after he quit the service was awful. Only good thing is that we have multiple phone conversations with the owner recorded so we will be able to home the company accountable for the damages. They installed the wrong window at our bathroom and are supposed to be fixing it but I can't get a return call on date for that. Here are the pictures of our home and damage. Do Not Use This Company. The first guy (I think he was the owner) that came out would not give me a quote and was very rude. The second sales person was knowable and showed us the sample windows and told us that there installation crews were very good and we would not see any installation issues. She said we could expect the windows in 6 to 8 weeks and we were good with that. When she left she left us a quote. Almost 4 months later we had not seen the windows. When I would call they would not give me any information or even give me an estimate of when they might come in. I started calling them every time I would here that terrible spokesman talk about windows on their local commercials. I would ask to speak with a supervisor, nothing seemed to help. I had to complain and complain about how long it was taking. I would tell the person on the phone that we were trying to sell our house and needed the windows completed. Finely we were scheduled. (4 months later) They came out and as soon as the crew arrived they started saying "they did not know it was a stucco house" and they couldn't be held responsible for damage. By the time they finished they had damaged 4 out of the 9 window sill's, and sheetrock and paint, and some stucco. The windows did not fit real good so any gaps were filled with silicone. For 9 windows they used 15 large tubes of silicone. Terrible job. The workers were nice and we bought them lunch from sonic because we felt bad for them. DO NOT USE these people. When they do answer the phone, its been " we are waiting on 1 window". This has been the excuse for months and they never call back. I hope my husband had taken the time to check this company before hiring them!! The customer service is awful , you have to practically chase them down to have someone call you back. The Installation was done 2 weeks later than promised and no one called to let us know about it, we had to keep on calling to find out what was going on. On The day of the installation, they showed up 5 hrs late stayed until 9:00 pm and made a mess on the walls and base boards and , left handprints all over the place and some of the trash was left outside of their working area. We had to get someone to touch up the walls and base board and we are paying $700.00 to fix the mess they made , I left them a message to let them know of the damage they caused , and guess what? no one has called so far. I would not recommend this company as they are not customer focused nor honest regarding the service they provide versus what they tell you they WILL provide. They are supposed to clean the windows after installation (salesman specifically said it would be done) and it wasn't done so I had to call and complain several times and they finally sent out a window cleaning company to clean my new windows. This happened twice as I had my windows installed in two separate installations. I was also told their installers worked for the company which was a lie as they are contractors. They messed up a couple of windows areas (hole above window seal) and left glass out in front of my house after installation was completed. I noted this on my sheet I signed after installation and it wasn't even acknowledged nor was I offered an apology. I had to wait an additional two months to get one last window installed that was manufactured incorrectly. I can live with a mistake but they kept delaying the installation and I as having to call the Dallas office every week to get status. Jackie in the local office was very nice but I think a bit overwhelmed especially since the salesman quit after selling my windows. After spending 16K with a company you would expect to receive better treatment. I had one conversation with the owner after my first installation over the phone and he had an attitude. The windows are great and the installers are very friendly. However that's where they run out of steam. The sales guy was great on his sale. We will do this and we will do that for this great price. On the day of the install is started to rain and they continued, Then came a few issues. That is when the trouble began. Now I'm a being spoken to like I'm an idiot who does not know what he is talking about. The 3rd party engineer had them correct a couple of items and that was great.
