Bedding was old, blanket & spread old and coarse. INTERNET AWFUL. Control didn't work either. Air conditioner so loud, didn't ventilate properly. Toilet low, small, very old. Very strange the few occupants, up and about all hours. Truck in lot running early am & late pm, very loud. Our dog growled as the whole place was creepy. We were uncomfortable. Don't get taken in with Owner. Check out the rooms before you commit. Traffic noise was so loud. Many other nicer Places to stay. Don't Stay There.

I'm glad I had an eye mask or I would've been awake all night. There is a good family restaurant called Family Inn next door. The road noise can be loud at times but we live in Milwaukee by a freeway so we are used to the street noise. The room we had was not very big, the door hit the bed. I should have asked for a double bed room as we would have had more room. It worked for us but I felt cramped.

The "new room smell" was quite strong, but the room was spotless and well-appointed. The view was amazing. We dined at the restaurant on site - good service, good food, great view. Bigby Coffee is not our favorite but it is certainly convenient. Plenty of parking, great amenities - we didn't have time to take advantage of the free bikes and kayaks but what a great option to have! The pool/hot tub/sauna are dated but it was clean and nice to have available. We would stay again if we come back this way.

It was just what the doctor ordered and aleviated my pain. I visited with my service dog and had no issues so long as he was wearing his vest. The staff was helpful and courteous. They even followed up with a text message to make sure we were enjoying our stay. The restaurant on site was quite pricy. I did not try the coffee shop that brewed their own local coffee. Our room was recently renovated. It was perfect for us since we parked right outside the door. It was tastefully decorated with scenes of Michigan's natural beauty. Outside, there was also a pathway along the lake to go for a stroll and enjoy the outdoors. I would definitely return to this hotel on my next visit to Escanaba!

The reviews for this place are just so-so but our experience was just fine especially for the price. Our rooms were decent with a nice sitting area - I guess that is the suites part of the name. The room had a bigger sized refrigerator with a freezer compartment which was welcomed and the only one with a freezer in the five hotels we stayed at during this road trip. The only gripe was the room on our second stay had a water saving faucet that was pretty worthless - funny the first room was different. The breakfast was standard chain hotel fare... perhaps a bit more spartan. Overall it was a good experience.

The price is a bit high for the overall quality in return.

When I checked out I shared my displeasure with not being able to shower and they once again said "we had a pipe break". Not a "we are sorry" or "can we adjust your bill" or even an offer of some Choice Points for the maintenance issue that made your stay suck. Nothing! Don't even think this person behind the desk even cared! Horrible customer service and hotel needs some major updates and improvements.
