She explained how she'd wanted to go back to Italy for years and had finally gotten a chance earlier this spring. She raved about the food and the architecture and the prosciutto and her family. At one point she had the pleasure of attending a party with over 100 relatives. She was so passionate and so grateful and it was so fun to listen to her that the room could have been a dump and I still probably would have enjoyed my stay. But naturally with someone this enthusiastic the place sparkled. The retro furniture and the light blue tile were just awesome. And the flaming red carpet made me smile every time I looked at it.
