Before he started we chatted briefly about what my goals were and why I was interested in the audit. We came up with three goals and went from there. He tested the air quality of my home and did a blower door test. We found some surprising areas that was losing heat and were inefficient. He was helpful in ideas for quick home fixes to making a list of problem areas to focus on. I was pleased with the whole experience. I wouldn't have realized energy audits were a thing until I spoke with a co-worker who recently had one conducted. I am glad I got one done on my home. They still haven't sent an actual quote but told me it would require ENTIRELY new shower glass. We had another company look at it since I cannot get Precision to call me back or even email. We found the door actually will and does swing the other way. The right hinges were installed to easily change the swing. So it should only take minimal adjustments and maybe new seals and sweep. It's very disappointing that Precision doesn't want to take care of current customers. Holding out to see if they will step up , return messages and help without unnecessary costs, work and material.

The next step was when they called back to tell us when we would see the crew arrive. Terry was very nice and got us a date when we would not have kids in the house. We got the yard cleaned up so everything was out of the way and would not get damaged by the debris. And there was LOTS of it. But when they left you could not tell there was debris everywhere. Nice clean up job! Be a good human and give them access to a bathroom and get them Gatorade to keep them hydrated. Great job all the way around.

Few weeks ago, a contractor from Able Roof & Exteriors came to my condo unit on behalf of the HOA…read moreto perform what should have been a minor repair to the front entry door jamb. The damage was limited to the bottom portion (less than 3"), which could have been addressed with wood filler or by replacing it with a properly sized jamb section. Initially, I was contacted by phone by "Jacke" from Able Roofing & Exteriors and later by email from "Brian Rheinscheld" (listed as Director of Construction) to schedule the repair. After the contractor completed the work, I later inspected it and found the repair to be a makeshift solution that turned a small issue into a larger one. Instead of using a proper door jamb component with the correct dimensions and features (such as the groove for weatherstripping), the contractor assembled a patch using mismatched pieces of lumber - in a nutshell, the contractor concocted a disparage makeshift out of lumber in order to replace the lower portion of my door jamb. The result is not a proper door jamb and lacks the necessary features and fit. The repair is clearly inadequate, improper and disfiguring (see attached photos) and has created a bigger problem than the original damage. I contacted Able Roofing & Exteriors by phone and email, including reaching out to Brian Rheinscheld, to report the issue and request a resolution. I received no response; in other words, it was completely ignored. Based on this experience, one cannot consider this a reputable, respectable and reliable company. Proceed with any repair, project or construction work involving this company at your own risk and peril.

High praise for this business! We live in a historic home that we purchased from a flipper. We've…read morelived in the home for 5 years and we're constantly finding things that need fixed because the work performed originally was all wrong. The front door has been on our list for a long time. I went to 4 different companies to quote the project. One company said they wouldn't do it because of the complexity. One said it would take 6 months to get a specialty door ordered and they wanted half the money up front. So basically paying thousands of dollars for a door I won't see for the better part of a year. Pass. The other company said they would need to rip the door off before they could give me a quote. Nightmare all around. Broadview was able to provide a reasonably priced quote and a 3 month lead time that ended up collapsing down to 2 months! I communicated with Ed for the sale and contract. My installation team was Randy, Bart, and Jamie. Absolutely stellar crew. Outstanding craftsmanship that exceeded my expectations. I did not think we'd get that door centered on the opening due to complexities of the HVAC and structure of the original door vs the new door. It looks marvelous like it was meant to be there, centered, correct size and color. One of the guys said they've been doing this for 42 years and this was the second hardest door he's done. And the only reason he could do it is because he worked in New England where all the homes were old. They also installed 3 layers of insulation because our door had none. Like I said, the list for this home never ends. Grateful for the team, their pristine attention to detail and their commitment to craftsmanship. We are thrilled with our new door!

Edit as of 3/9/2022: A couple days later I went outside to do some chores as it was warm weather…read moresince finally getting my windows installed, and noticed a very bad caulk job where the window was not sealed properly and damage to the structure below the window. I am also attaching pictures of the caulk job and the damage that was done below the window. Overall with this experience I would not recommend this company. I had ordered windows in September of 2021 and still have not had them installed as of 1/29/2022. The second week of December 2021, I had called to see where the windows were and how much longer it would be until install. It took 3-4 days in order to get an answer. The receptionist would constantly put me over to people who had no idea what was going on and would promise to give me a call back, which would never happen. The Week before Martin Luther King Dr. Day, I finally get a call from who I think is the owner who said that they have my windows, and they could install next day. Unfortunately I work in health care and it is almost impossible to get off at that short of notice, which is something I feel like this person could not grasp. We settled for Martin Lurther King Jr. Day because I was off work. Unfortunately I was scheduled for install in the morning and we had 4-6 inches of snow and according to the owner they had the truck which was stuck in Delaware. No big deal, these things happen and I would feel awful if someone got into a traffic accident or hurt, and said that he was very sorry and would try to reschedule on a Saturday, which was something they rarely do. He said he would call up a team and would call me back to confirm. Never did call me back pertaining to scheduling on a Saturday. I am now suppose to get them installed the second week of February, we will see if it actually happens this time. Overall I have been very underwhelmed with the communication of this company and at this point the amount of money paid is not worth the service, especially one that I have yet to receive almost half a year later
