Matthew said he was in the neighborhood and he could be there in 5 min. He showed up in 3 min and gave us a reasonable estimate and said they would call before showing up on Tuesday. Matthew called the night before and said they would be there between 8 and 10 am. At 8:30 am a nice young man, Josh, showed up with a rubber tread backhoe to protect our asphalt driveway. Josh was very professional and courteous. He maneuvered that back hoe and rock like he had been doing it for 30 years while being careful to not cause any damage. He even helped fill the hole left with the surrounding rocks.

It was incredible. He moved it with care and placed it like a diamond in it setting. Perfect! In 1/2 hour rock was moved and he then moved a smaller rock into position and scraped the rest to level up the hole from the big rock's former resting spot. It was almost mesmerizing to watch him. Impressively, they took the time listen to my desires and visualize for themselves what the plan might look like. They offered helpful suggestions; most that we ultimately went with. The lady I talked to on the phone was great in communicating the work planning and kept us all updated. Covid has made estimating a project clunky. We did a video estimate. The cost turned out to be quite fair, but I was concerned about the cost before starting. After watching all the work done, I was happy. An in person estimate is really superior, if the job is not really simple, so an explanation can be given for all the labor time it will take to execute the plan. I hope to hire them for some more work in the future.
