I had to file a complaint against this company because they had left me waiting for an appointment for a long time, you cannot be doing that when someone like me has diabetes and CoPd. The time scheduled should be the time I walk in to be checked, not the time I come to 15 minutes prior and end up waiting a hour to a hour and a half longer to be seen. read more

Dr. Foud it's great. But I am here to give a review on the facilities. This is the dirtiest Dental office I have been too. Everything felt and looked dirty. Dr. Aminyar was the first orthodontist who didn't criticize my teeth. The first time I've met him for a consultation, he said, "we are going to do this thing" and since then, I've received my braces and continue coming into for my monthly tightenings. They work out a payment plan for you if your insurance doesn't cover braces. The staff is very professional and friendly. They also make sure they call you a couple of days before your appointment to confirm. Nothing but great things to say about Dr. Aminyar, his staff and his practice. I will recommend anyone to him! The worst dental practice ever. My wife went there they told her her teeth has to be pulled out and replaced by an implant. Was absolutely false. my son went there for a clean up they told him he needs a root canal for $4000. He did it at another dentist for $400. They still charged him $400 for the visit. The worst ever. My favorite doctor is Doctor Pachon, not just for her compliments and personality but for her willingness to explain whatever question I ask. I think it's just as key to have an excellent hygienist as well as a examination doctor and so I would have to say that Dr. Habor is my favorite hygienist. The fact that he is so thorough in cleaning despite his years of experience (or his title) makes me request him whenever I come back. I've been coming to American Unity Dental for 10 years and these are just some of the people that keep me coming back. Oh, and I tried Ermie today too (since Dr. Habor wasn't available as a hygenist) and she too was pleasant. My teeth feel sooooo good! Worst dentist ever! I would give them less than 1 star if I could. Dr. Limbani performed dentures for my mom that did not fit her, look horribly unnatural and would fall out of her mouth when she would talk. When she complained to them they would just tell her that she would get used to those to wait it out! Terrible service! If you need dental services just go somewhere else, the dentist seems bothered by questions and refuses to give options, just not good bedside manner. read more

Worst dental office! The doctors here are not professional in any sense neither the technicians. I did 7 teeth here and two of them were not done properly so I had to repeat their work again. The dentist had poured filling between two of my teeth and I wasn't able to floss afterward, and when I went back to her to fix her mistake she broke the filling of the next teeth. I went to visit on 5/14 I had two teeth pulled and some fillings done. Once there they were trying to charge me for my service that my insurace covered for me. I was injected with about 8 needles to numb the pain and just gave them my credit card. Once I got home I reached out to my insurance and they informed me that they had sent a check and everything should be covered, I called the dentist and the lady I spoke with advised me that I had no bil... SO WHY WAS I CHARGED? The manger a short gentlemen I don't remember his name gave me inaccurate information and also saved my credit card on file. I felt as if I was scammed. To top it off I had two teeth pulled at the same time on both sides of my mouth and was only given motrin. It is wednesday and I am in EXTREME PAIN STILL. I don't know if it was the angle the doctor pulled the tooth in but, he cut my gums along the way and the pain has been ridiculous. I am having trouble eating, in constant pain that is causing excruciating migranes. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST UNLESS YOU'RE LOOKING TO BE SCAMMED! read more

I am getting tired of this place, they keep postponing my son's appointment, the reason: "the doctor wants to leave early"!!!. This is unprofessional in any way you want to see it! First, they schedule the appointment based on their calendar, then they call us to ask us if we can get to the appointment earlier than scheduled or to re-schedule because the doctor want to leave early. Hi I have been a patient since 1994. This office and my doctors, Pachon and Haber are the best. Everyone in the office is very professional and always pleasant. I chose this office when I became employed by the State of New Jersey. I knew nothing about them but their name popped up on my list and I have been there ever since then. So many people (staff) I've met since being there moved on but the office has always been the dentist office I would go to and recommend. When I first walked in, I was called in fast and also they did great job with my cleaning. Dr pachon is a great doctor and she told me I had to get my wisdom tooth extracted which is why I had pain. They are always calling me to check up on me ever since and how I am doing which is great. read more

This leads to confusion, time wasted with multiple phone inquiries, and unexpected expenses. The actual service is okay. I got my teeth cleaned there and a filling repaired. Dr. Wei performed a root canal for my Mom and he did a messy job. After my Mom went home, she found out that her part of lip was sticked with her teeth because the dentist did not clean the cement. My mom had so much pain and could not eat & talk. Later I had to take her to the ER. The ER doctor had to scrape off the cement from my Mom teeth and cut her lip a little. Therfore my Mom can open her mouth. What terrible the dentist is! Let his patients suffer. read more

So the manager Jay likes to go to the post office at 9:30 am in the morning. The staff makes you wait for him to resolve issues. So on top of them messing up scheduling and on top of the added wait of this mess up.. the manager likes to disappear during work hours. (Cool.. real professional) The staff says he should be back soon and half an hour later he is still gone. I have been a patient here since 2012 and today (10/13/17) will be my last time ever going here. Here are my reasons: 1) Today they knew they messed up my appointment. Had me wait for this manager who decided it's okay to go to the post office during work hours. Staff texted him too. AFTER knowing I had an 8:30 am appointment and was now close to 10 AM.. manager still gone by the way.. and knowing that I have WORK they come back and say.. there's two patients ahead of you but she can take you in an hour. So.. that would have placed me at 11 am to do a cleaning for a 8:30 am appointment. I was on time also. I walked out at this point. 2) add on to #1- staff said it was probably the call center I spoke with (this appointment was confirmed twice this week.. one with me calling and another them calling).. they also said two different times. The staff today said one was canceled. I never canceled anything. No one mentioned to me that there were any issues in my appointment.. as in no cleaning is a big issue. I've been coming here since 2012 and the technician says that there was some policy change recently.. that's nice and all but this appointment was made 6 months ago in person. Then later staff said the calls go to the call center and not the office. I called in the morning earlier that week. After I walked out.. I called the same number and guess what.. it was the office that answered. I requested jay to call me when he gets in. Doubt he will. An hour after I walked out and he still has not called me. Either that's one long post office adventure or he's avoiding it. The above were from today, the following are from the last appointment to now 3) the wait times when you call are ridiculous and staff does not know how to use the phone. I called and was on the phone waiting on hold for half an hour or so. This is common here. And when they did answer .. I asked a simple question about if they take an insurance.. and they put me on hold .. meaning they hung up on me. So yes I had to call back and wait again the same length of time. 4) my last appointment they were trying to have me pay for something my insurance already paid for. I called my insurance and they said they sent checks and that the office already cashed them. The staff were saying they never did. After some time .. and me keep saying the same thing .. the manager was like oh. I see the payment. (Again a waste of my time due to their staffs incompetence) 5) as other reviewers have mentioned.. they will call to reschedule your appointment earlier so the dentist can leave. One time they made it seem like it was an emergency so I was okay with that... I rushed through what I needed to do so I can get there at the earlier time.. and the dentist.. not my usual dentist btw.. was like I wanted to enjoy the nice weather....... so I was annoyed but since I got through my appointment so fast i didn't mind it as much at the time. But as someone who went there for 5 years I will confirm that the other reviewers are correct. They do this. These are my most recent experiences mixed with some older ones I overlooked. I didn't even mention everything.. this is a long enough review. The staff here are extremely difficult due to incompetence and as you see from how they handled their own mistakes.. they don't think too much about their patients even though as your sitting there waiting endlessly they say oh they listen to patients. No way. If they actually cared they would have taken me right away and figured something out earlier. The technician realized there was a scheduling issue as soon as he took me in. So why was it not being worked on as I was waiting? Unless jay was gone since 830 am. Which honestly might be completely possible. read more

Giving no star was not an option. Very rude staff very unprofessional. When I was taking X-rays with the dental assistant or who ever, was more tuned to watching the news. I work at a dental office so I know how things are supposed to be run. When taking my (4) bite wings, she was extremely rough repeating herself multiple times open wider open wider and I kid you not I am not one of those people who just open a little. So when it came to placing the object in my mouth and advised me to close, it hurt because the way she angled it was incorrectly, during my X-rays she insisted for me to not drop it or it'll break. Oh shut up! Give me a break, it's in my closed mouth. So I went on and told her that it hurt very calm and nice and she caught an attitude advising me she couldn't complete anything, so! I told her I decline X-rays, I'm not going to make my self uncomfortable and in pain if she can not do her job. 43 min and I'm still waiting for a cleaning not to mention I came a half hour early to fill out paper work. The employees at this facility is very professional and considerate. Jay the office manager is very understanding and compassionate to needs of the customers. He his willing and ready to address any issue that may arise. This is my 2nd child that is being treated at this office. The dentists I have had are fine doctors here and they know what they're doing, but the incompetence of the secretaries here is appalling. For the last 4 times I've gone they have said that I am not insured and I have to go through the constant rigamarole of calling my insurance company, telling them the situation and making them call these idiots every single time I am here. and they just LOVE putting my insurance company on hold. The worst. I am forced to give one start in order to put this posting up. When I made an appointment I specially told them I have a chipped filling. And wanted to do cleaning and new filling same day. I waited two weeks for my appointment. Appointment was at 3:30, I immediately got x-rays. Was sent back to the waiting room then after 20 min Dr. inspected my filling and said might not be able to do it same day. I explained to him I waited too long for an appointment and was leaving for vacation. He didn't seem to care sent me back to the waiting to wait for a cleaning. I was there till 5pm and still no cleaning! Went to receptionist told her I had to leave and pick up my kids. She was helpful in scheduling me 2 days later for filling. I saw a different Dr. 2 days later for my filling he never told me his name, was very cold and annoyed at the fact that I needed more Novocaine when I felt the pain of the drilling. I feel bad for the support staff as they were friendly and helpful but Doctors need to get some bedside manners. We are all human beings and need to be treated as such. Will not return. American Unity Dental gets a ZERO rating in my book. The dentists are ok and maybe ONE of the hygienist. However, the serious incompetency of the staff is incredible. Both of my children had braces put on there and they were also seeing the dentist, as you would think that would be convenient. Well it is ANYTHING but that. My child needed their brace wire removed to fill a cavity, after 2 appointments, waiting for 3 hours on the second one for them to co-ordinate, the Orthodontist came in and asked my child - "Which wire am I taking off" as if they would know! Once they started I was told they won't have enough time to finish and I would have to come back. I scheduled another appointment, only to have them call to confirm, but was told the Orthodontist wouldn't be there... the secretary was RUDE!! I have gone there for my daughter and they call my son. This late appointment was the icing on the cake. After my son had a cavity filled - he got an infection (which I am convinced was caused by the filling), the dentist advised that the brace needed to come off until it was cleared up. I was told to make a follow up appointment to check on it and to have the brace replaced. I made the appointment and waited 35 minutes only to be told that the Orthodontist was not there to put the brace back on, I need to schedule ANOTHER appointment. I AM DONE... read more
