The staff at the Muny are always so friendly, and I find the tickets reasonably priced. Their box office has good hours, so you can avoid the online fees if you want. When I saw Come From Away, there was a rain delay, and their stage crew worked SO HARD to get the show back up and running. My friend and I were in awe. I wish I could give it 5 stars, and it is a bit of a me problem, but I cannot fit into the free seats. I haven't been able to fit into the free seats since I was a child. My plus sized friends also have troubles. I am 6"5', and my thighs are like 3 inches too long to sit without bodily contortion and bruises. I made it work, because I won the lottery for Jon Batiste and Diana Ross, but ouch. I'd love to see some modifications made eventually to make them more accessible!

I have made friends with other people in the line, and the time passes by quickly. Things to note for the free seats: The earlier you get there, the easier time you'll have finding parking. The Upper and Lower lots are good places to start looking. There is a sandwich board posted with what can be brought in (ex. no aluminum cans, weapons, etc) The gates that let you on the grounds to wait for your seat open at 6 pm. The gates that lead to the actual seats open at 7 pm. The show starts at 8:15, barring any weather delays or technical difficulties. A night at the Muny is so much fun, whether you're in the free seats or paid!

Of course the event was on one of the coldest night we experience this past Winter in STL. For fashion, I decided to ditch my bulky coat in the truck and take the lighter instead. Fortunately, I arrived early and was able to find street parking close by and didn't have to endure the bitter cold too long Design: The architectural designs are breathe taken! It's something about "antique designs that I am always fascinated with. Food: My friend & I decided to have dinner at the restaurant next door (don't remember the name). I wanted to grab a drink at the Fox, however didn't want to miss out on any of the play standing in long lines. Service: Everyone hustled to get in after going through the metal detector or being scanned by security. There were staff members present to guide you to your seat. Overall Experience: I truly enjoyed myself. I definitely will be back!

Artwork and decor is stunning! This is where you'll find many of your concessions stands as well as merchandise. If you're on the orchestra level, head straight to the back. Otherwise, take the elevator or stairs to the balcony. The rows are set steep, so watch your footing! The Curtain Call restaurant is a nice place to grab a bite before or after. Concessions inside are a bit expensive, to be expected. Bathrooms are located on most levels.

I'm almost ready to try one of those standing board things. I've been several times over the years, & Glad to hear that the same family that's on the interior GIANT stone fireplace is donating MILLIONs to the re-model. I hope that means the fireplace will remain. Lots of ducks, a heron & a white goose visited on the water while we were there. Big Brothers and Sisters of America is an AMAZING organization! Growing up, my dad was a Big…read moreBrother with BBBSA, and I had a friend from school who had a Big Sister. So I guess you could say I've grown up around the organization. For the past few years, I've been moving from one location to the next, but I always knew that when I had settled in one place that I'd like to volunteer. I've loved my experience so far. This month marks my 5th month of being matched with my little sister who is 8. The interview process and matching process are both very thorough and I like that they take your preferences (regarding age, interests, etc.) into consideration when selecting a Little for you. I waited for about three to four weeks before a Little was selected for me. They are very upfront about your Little's background and want to ensure that you have a level of comfort with what experiences your Little has had, what their home life entails, etc. I appreciate this so much about them. I was given information about my Little and was given a few days to think through my decision on whether I felt it was an adequate match. BBBSA does everything in their power to make these matches work, and I have been so impressed by their dedication and integrity regarding my relationship with my Little. Each pair is given a Relationship Specialist who checks in with both you and your Little separately once a month for the first year. Having these monthly phone calls from my Relationship Specialist has helped me to reflect on my relationship with my Little, along with her needs and ways for me to better reach her. They are always armed with lots of activitie ideas if you need them, and even though we've never been able to take advantage of them, they offer events for Bigs and Littles so you can meet other people in the BBBSA community. Free tickets to the Muny, Cards games, etc., are also offered to matches! They really do offer so many opportunities to Littles and it has been a joy to be a part of this organization. I've been incredibly pleased by my relationship with my Little. It has been nothing like I expected it to be, but has added up to being even more (if that makes sense!). Through my relationship with her I've been able to be a part of her life at school, at home, and through other personal challenges her family has encountered. I truly feel that I am making a difference in her life, and would implore anyone considering becoming a Big to do so! (Shameless Plug: There are over 1,000 kids in the St. Louis area waiting for a Big! Couples are also welcome to have a Little together. What a fun way to volunteer your time with your spouse!)

Parking is a little difficult due to a small lot, but I was able to snag street parking around the corner which worked out just fine. I sat in the front row and had a great view. The seats were pretty comfortable and the patrons were respectful apart for some errant ringtones throughout the show. I treated myself to a signature cocktail during intermission which was a little too sweet (and expensive at $13 + tip) but also flavorful and refreshing as a dessert type drink. For the 2025 season, they are offering a discount on tickets with the code Explore50, making tickets for any of their productions $50 (inclusive of service charges). Unless you're a student or senior, this is the best ticket price you can find. It also allows you to sit anywhere so treat yourself and sit in the front row to admire Mr. Darcy you can!

It was funny, dramatic and had such great music and learned a lot about Carole King. Seats were fantastic and the theater is such a great place. Only complaint is I bought a ticket package that was stated included pre show reception with "drinks".
