During my medical screening, I disclosed that I had previously been told I was prediabetic. I also came prepared with official medical documentation from my healthcare provider confirming that I do not currently have diabetes or prediabetes. Instead of reviewing or accepting documentation from my physician, the nurse refused to accept it and insisted that I now have to schedule another doctor's appointment and pay additional money just to have BioLife's own form completed stating the exact same thing my physician has already documented. So after wasting over two hours of my morning, my gas, and my time, I'm now expected to spend even more money to obtain duplicate medical documentation simply because it isn't on BioLife's preferred form. The entire experience felt like paperwork and liability mattered more than actual medical evidence from my healthcare provider. If this is BioLife's policy, it should be disclosed before people schedule appointments and waste half their morning. I have already submitted a formal corporate complaint regarding this incident, so there is no need to respond with the standard "please contact us" message that appears on other negative reviews. I'm looking for accountability and a review of how this situation was handled--not a generic response. This was one of the most frustrating customer experiences I've had in a long time.

They also say they are in continuous need of platelet donations as this type of donation goes to help those with cancer as an example. They are also forthcoming as to the differences in platelet versus a standard blood donation. This means plan on being there for at least 2 hours. One day I'd like to do this but not at this time. We had such an enjoyable experience here; everyone was so nice and down-to-earth. I've never had a donation move so swiftly; done in just over 20 minutes! + Zero bruising for me and my mom with the fragile body; skin and all. They took wonderful attentive care of her. They have a snack table there as usual and customary filled with sweet foods and juices and water since you have to stay for a few minutes afterward to ensure you replace some of the nutrients you are missing not to mention the fluid volume reduction. PERKS! * They have an online portal in which, as required, you'll locate a lengthy questionnaire that must be completed prior to each donation. I understand they have an APP too for convenience. * You can also fill out this form on their website. I recommend doing that if possible as it saves you time. * Plenty of parking with a clean parking lot as well that is handicapped friendly. *The act of donating is such a precious priceless gift is humanitarian and philanthropic and feels wonderful and caring & helps so many.

I'm pretty awkward but the nurses do their best to talk to me and make me feel comfortable. I unfortunately don't have a problem with being underweight (what a shame), but I have issues with my blood droplet taking too long to sink. The result of a no-meat, no-veg, all-carb diet. The nurses are always nice though, and tell me ways to increase my iron. + Nice nurses + Polka dot bandaids and pink elastic bandages! + Great perks for donating blood! + Calls to remind you of next time you can donate blood (start eating eggs and tuna for iron!) After giving blood, they make you wait 15 minutes in a room full of goodies. I love lemon filled cookies! "Take some more!" "If you insist!" We got him to this place and they put 2 bags in him (not sure which cocktail) and it helped him immensely! Any time he's gotten sick since, he goes and gets the same thing and it always cuts the sickness time in half. It's more than just a iv bag from the ER (which coats insane amounts of money).
