I had my first mammogram in 2022. I didn't know what to expect and heard a few horror stories from friends. The procedure was explained to me, which eased most of my nervous jitters. It's not the most pleasant experience, but the technicians make you feel comfortable (considering what's about to happen and all, lol) Clean facility, great customer service and speedy results. ALL IS (still) WELL. Will be back next year for my annual follow up exam. __ I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish read more

American Radiology Services - ALL IS WELL. - Radiologists Near Me - Waldorf, Maryland

I have no complaint about the technicians BUT American Radiology is no longer in-network for Cigna, and when I booked my most recent appointment they didn't inform me of this change. (They have always been in-network before, but now they're not.) So I'm having to pay out of pocket for my mammogram. read more

I wish my review could have been positive. Prior to this experience, I would have given a five-star review due to a staff member named Miss Theresa. She was kind, empathetic, and like an aunt. I was terrified and scared of having a biopsy in my breast, as I had never had one before and the fear of cancer took over. Miss Theresa came in, spoke with me, and let me know that it would be painless and I shouldn't be scared. However, after leaving the facility because they couldn't do the biopsy that day due to not seeing a clear view of my diagnostic mammogram, today's experience was a whole different level. If I could give a zero, I definitely would. My appointment time was at 8:30 a.m., and my check-in time was at 8:15 a.m. I filled out all the necessary paperwork beforehand. I arrived at the office exactly at 8:30. All I needed to do was sign the breast implant form that's not available for online, and that would have been it. But instead, a staff member argued with me in the open lobby, saying, 'You were supposed to be here at 8:00 a.m.' I said, 'No, it's 8:15 check-in. I've filled out the paperwork already. It's now 8:30. Why can't I get my procedure?' She got on the phone, talking to someone, and then again, out loud, said, 'No, you were supposed to be here regardless.' I was shocked and stunned. I thought they would just go ahead and allow me to get it done since I was on time for my appointment. It was bad enough that I struggled for weeks on the fence about getting this done, only to be turned away. I was so afraid that I literally stayed up all night. Now I have to do this all over again to pump myself up to go. I'm leaning on the side of not getting it done because I'm just tired. Women are dying every day from breast cancer, and for this office to be so careless, harsh, and nasty, I just left speechless. Then they wanted to reschedule me, but I don't want anything to do with that company ever again. Ladies, if you are having issues, stay away from this place because they don't care about you or your situation. It's not even about the money; they just don't want to do their jobs. read more

Absolutely no regard for their patients. It is unacceptable to have to spend at least eight minutes on the phone trying to get hold of a human being. We are your bread and butter. Without us you will not be in business please treat us with some respect. If the agents can't answer the phone in eight minutes hire some more people. please do not thank us for our patience as we're waiting to speak to someone as the assumption that we are being patient is WRONG. 3510 Old Washington Road They send you texts and emails and ask for your Orders. Then when you show up they want your orders again. Why? Then they lose the questionnaire they had you complete online. After you answer all the questions again. Aha. They find it. Then they hand you Medicare paper work to sign. Like do I look that old? No! Aha. It has the wrong patient information. That's not my name! Hard to find competent workers these days? read more

The top seller is the patient care for me! Getting a mammogram and ultrasound isn't the easiest appointment, especially every 5-6 months. But thankfully I scheduled with this office because the office I normally go to was booked a month out and I needed to get in sooner than later. I'm glad things panned out that way. Jackie and Jade were gentle, sensitive and attentive. I felt very comfortable. The front office employees were also exceptionally warm and professional. I appreciate this location and will continue making appointments here. Added bonuses: very clean, well kept property, great location! read more

Been going here for years. Overall 1. Always courteous 2. Responsive when you need something like films CD's 3. Like radnet to get my results early 4. They have cool oversized green dress thingys' that you can wear during your procedure that keeps all your important parts under control and invisible to X-ray Would give them a 5 but they messed up on one of my appointments for 3 procedures. I had to come back for one of them. I "didn't have to pay" I have been arguing with their billing for a year to get it fixed read more

American Radiology Services is terrible!! How can you have a business that is supposed to accommodate doctors and patients, and there are doctors in this area who can not access your portal to see the reports and film? Before this company took over in Pembroke Radiology, my doctor had no problem obtaining the information he needed. Now his office cannot receive the information unless I bring the disc and the report. Which means no telehealth for me! I had a CT test done last week, for appointment this week & I asked if my doctor will be able to access the information, I was told yes. The report is still not ready, and my doctor cannot access my images!!! This appointment was for my oncologist! Why would you buy a company and not be able to assist the doctors in the metropolitan area. My hope is that another company will buy you out because, this company has caused more problems than help! I will be going to Fairfax Radiology for my oncology scans. Or find another radiology company in Charles County, it may be an inconvenient but sometimes you have to be inconvenient for better health care. Fairfax Radiology please come back!!! read more

This is the worst clinic ever. They tell you what you need not what your doctor ordered. Failed to process insurance authorization. Cancelled my appointment the day of not once but twice. Stay away. read more

This company has a dysfunctional billing system. I have Tricare and have met the catastrophic cap for the year which means I have no patient responsibility for any covered service. American Radiology Services claims I have co-insurance and need to pay them. I've called Tricare multiple times who said there is no patient responsibility. This company will not let you get radiological services unless they get their money up front, whether or not you owe it. I will never be using them again and will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau for shady business practices. Also, they don't know what you need before procedures. I went for an appointment and the front desk person told me I should have drank barium but come to find out I didn't need to drink it. I wasted my time and money on a babysitter when I didn't need to. read more

My client have an appointment with this people, her appointment is 11am and we got there 10:30. My client is on a wheelchair, she has stroke so we try to get there early. It's my surprise that when we got there they gave us a whole bunch of form to fill out, I wound think this form should've been sent via email prior to the appointment to save time especially during this covid19, it took us about 40min to fill it out inside there waiting room with a a whole lot of other patient waiting. And after that we were waiting for them to call us in, around 11:35, I walked up to one of them to see what's going on and to asked everything was okay cos my client bus comes at 12, then she said let me go talk to them inside and she came back with can we reschedule..... I was so mad. My client was so upset, her blood pressure went up straight... They did not attend to her till we left the place at 12:05. These people need to work on themselves. You can't keep people in your Lobby for 2hrs with appointment in this covid time, it's very wrong. Horrible experience. read more

I came in Tuesday morning at 10am. Waited for 45 min was before being called up for insurance and payment. Then told it was going to be another 45 minute wait. After waiting an 1.5 hrs. I was told the machine went down its going to be another 30min. After waiting 2hrs and 23 min I was called back for my xray. I asked for the corporate number because this is unacceptable and before handing it to me the woman was sure to inform me that she had already called the regional and let them know what was going on. Of course she did however I'm sure it wasn't the whole truth. I'm waiting for a return call. I was out in less than 5 min. This place is a joke. I hope to never return here again. I will be sure if any future imaging is needed we will go to RIA across the street. read more

I arrived at 920 on a Tuesday for an x-ray which I was not allowed to schedule an appointment. I waited 25 minutes to be called up to sign paperwork. I was told it would be a few minutes. I was called back 25 minutes later by x-ray Tech. The procedure took 3-5 minutes. I requested my cd which I only waited for a few minutes. I was at ARS for one hour. Ridiculous. When I arrived, there was only one receptionist, then two more then two total when I left. Also I finally found parking behind the bldg. read more
