Poor customer service from the time they picked up the phone! I called to inquire about notary services, at 5:55pm. Google says they're open until 10pm. The person on the other end of the phone began to chastise me about me calling about a notary 3 minutes before closing, and that they don't have people just sitting around to "catch" a job, and why didn't I make an appointment. We got "disconnected". I specifically chose a business in my community and I wanted to support a small Black business, a waste of time and effort at this place. I just don't recommend. There's ONE very sweet Caucasian woman who, if she wasn't there I really don't know what I would've went through and the ONLY reason I'm giving two stars. The owner, is a VERY rude elderly African American woman (who is named Kat) , I had a box with her for quite sometime. It was not the best experience, I won't go into a lot of detail because it became quite personal for me. However, if you piss her off guess what? Good luck proving someone is hiding your mail or holding it with malicious intent. How do you not piss her off? Let me know when you find out. If you're going to use a mailbox service, be sure it is one you can check on your OWN and no one but the mailman has access to. Also, I closed my box a very long time ago (APR.21') give or take a month and she called me today telling me I'm past due on my box. I said I closed that box over two years ago, she replies "and reopened it" , no I did not. She hangs up in my face. Still the same crude old lady she was when I was vulnerable and homeless. If you're already going through things and just don't need the extra bull, do not go here. read more

Needs to Retire, They hate sorting mail so they lie an say mail hasn't come,very frustrating if you have important mail

Awesome little place. I went there for a notary and although she needed to be called in I was treated with courtesy, professionalism, and promptness. When asked if I would be willing to wait 12 minutes I did. Lo and behold my service was there in less time. During that wait time I had the opportunity to observe the other customers, often known by first name, asking "How's the family? What are the kids up to?" Return customers coming in to mail packages, send faxes, and pick up mail. Not the prettiest place but I guarantee you I would never had got this quality of service at FedEx or USPS! FANTASTIC rate I got on the notary. Screw big companies! read more

This place has got to be the worst. The woman Kat, is extremely rude & confrontational. She reacts negatively when she's asked or questioned about pricing or practices. She even tells my friend," don't bring her back with you, Also I didn't want to fight her" I mean really this coming from a professional?, on the contrary this place is so unprofessional and she talks as if they are known nation wide for their prices and services. The location is repulsive and is in need of an overhaul. No other customers came in during our 30 minute hassle with Kat. She's a No Go. She thinks that her shit doesn't stink. read more

Don't ever go to get a notary done here! Katrina Barnum is so rude and she claims she is a professional. She did a notary for me and the wouldn't take it at the recorders office because her stamp was so bad and she had stamped it multiple times. I suggest just going anywhere else for this service. This is the most rude and unprofessional mail service I have ever encountered! They advertise tht they offer service 7 days a week but really they dont! They dont sort mail on weekends and wont allow you to pick up mail on sundays and you have to pick your mail up before 3pm every other day. Katt, the owner, very pretentious and rude and obviously is very petty and vicious! Don't call her on Sunday looking for your mail because she doesn't sort mail after Fridays that comes in and she will deliberately "misplace" your mail until she feels it is upon her time to release it. If you call over and over they will let their relatives or neighborhood crack smoker answer the phone and tell you that Katt not Denise is there and more than likely they are sitting right beside him! They will tell you that you have to pay for 90 days of service and will feed you lines about how its illegal to rent a box for only one month due to federal regulations but this is a lie. The mail service on pico is better, cheaper, and you have 24 hour access to your mail and won't have to worry about your mail coming up missing if you question her business ethics. Katt, the owner is very nosy and judgmental and will sift through your mail an has no scruples about opening your mail. I received several pieces of mail that she had to have opened but denied it and when I questioned her about it she started "losing" my mail and saying I didn't have any but the senders of the mail would wonder why I was sending mail back. I quickly closed my box with her after I sent myself an empty envelope to my box here and it was RTS. I knew that he was behind it. Bottom line. This place is horrible and the owner's are evil and spiteful! Don't pay for the inconvenience of this place! You won't ever get your mail on time and they open your mail! If you do have service here I suggest stopping all mail exchange - or else you will regret it! read more

I have had a positive experience dealing with American Post Box. Kat and her staff have been very friendly and helpful whenever I have called or stopped by the office. I definitely recommend this service, I found it to be straight to the point and hassle free. Isn't that what we are all looking for in this day and age? This mailbox service is terrible for the money you pay. Don't us them! First off they are to expensive for the service you receive. I try to support Black Own business but its difficult especially when they treat you as a outcast. The owner (Kat) has no concept of keeping her customer happy. I live in East LA and there's no private mailbox services near my resident. So I tried Inglewood and found American Post Box. The extra fees Kat charges just to open up a box is ridiculous. Plus she waits 90 days to forward mail. When I ask her why she stated because it cost to much money for stamps. I signed up for 6 months to receive a better discount and when I didn't close my PO Box online, she wouldn't give me my mail a month later. She said I owed $39. They charge $15 when you sign up to close out your box. She refused to give me my mail. It was only 2 letters for my daughter and they were post dated 2 months before my box was to be closed. Since the letters was there before my six months was up I think I should have gotten it. Now anything after that I could understand. And they never open on time. It's always 30 to 40 minutes later then they say. So if you want bad service and someone who don't respect your concerns then this place is for you. read more
