Place wasn't very clean from water tap, dust on table and spills on employee cabinets, they offered acrylic nails but didn't understand how to do it . The pedicure was ok but they blotted on old poliah instead of getting new and didn't add a top coat. Was also upcharged for basic pink powder instead of clear, technicians didn't listen and didn't do well at all. Managers were unhelpful. They said they would have to take off the nails and start over to honor the manicure I requested instead of honoring the price because of techs mistake. Both toes and nails look horrible. Absolutely not! I came in for a cat-eye design on my natural nails something that should've taken nowhere near 3 hours. The service was terrible from the start. I walked in to find most of the techs either asleep or looking irritated, no one was welcoming at all. The tech who worked on me said she could do a cat-eye, but clearly had no idea how. She had to ask other techs for help multiple times, which felt extremely unprofessional. The result? All my nails look completely different because she applied uneven layers on each one. As for my sister, she got a regular manicure and left looking exactly the same as when she walked in. This place is not welcoming, not professional, and not worth your time. For your sanity, I highly recommend you avoid this salon at all costs. I will NOT be returning. read more

I went and got my nails done 10 days ago and I already had 2 chip. I have been getting my nails done for years and my nails last me at least a month. I have never had one chip with is a week. this is BS and I will not be back. Then on top of that I was getting my toes done and this guy sat down and didn't speak any English and I told him I had ingrown toes nails and he couldn't get the polish off my toes I had on before. So a lady came over and was like we don't do ingrown toe nails. And the fact that they did my nails and they were really bad and extremely short. read more

I've been going to American Nails for almost 3 years. I am sad to report that although their prices have increased dramatically, their level of customer service has dramatically decreased. No more hand massage or cuticle trimming. You can be assured that their associates will be more engrossed in their conversations with each other than focusing on your nails. Today, I was surprised to find that the associate performing my dip manicure was actually also FaceTiming with someone else. Nice. I had to calmly remind myself that Maple Street in Omaha with over a dozen nail salons is only 20 minutes away. I'll find a salon where my time and business is valued and respected. Went here today for the first time after some pretty crappy experiences at another local nail salon. I highly recommend this place. I walked in for a pedicure and after sitting for only a couple of minutes (in a real chair I might add) I was taken back to a pedicure chair. Everyone that I interacted with was very friendly and highly accommodating. When I have to drive 30 miles to get my toes done it's nice to be able to walk in and get quick service. If I could give this place a zero star I would. My baby sister went in to get her nails done and it looked nothing like the picture and multiple were crooked. After being told they didn't look anything like the picture they stated it was because that set would have cost more money when not once was the amount of money wanting to be spent was discussed. Then while they were fixing her nails the nail tech proceeded to hold up her hands to the other lady say something in another language to which they both started laughing and causing her to cry. This place won't even accept a gift certificate given to me because he said it was more than one year old. There is no expiration date on the gift certificate and it's for $70. The owner would not budge--said over and over, "it's more than one year old", which shouldn't matter in the least when there is no expiration date on the certificate.
