We had to fill out a credit check form for the rental program. They presented us with both a used and new violin option with reasonable pricing for renting and insurance. Their program is great where we can rent-to-own if we decide later to purchase it. All the rental payments are put towards the purchase which is awesome. They also allow you to switch it out if our child outgrows the size. It was a super easy process to pick up a rental instrument and seems like the store has quite the variety of supplies for both wind and string instruments.

After pulling out the saxophone 30 years, unused, the cork was decaying, crumbling, and dry . We called around a few places, and these guys were fast efficient and a good price. Around $30. I went in with my wife to pick it up, told the guy I was doing some classical guitar and I got an on the spot private tutor lesson lol. It was pretty awesome. All of the suggestions The guy had for me as a new guitar player were perfect. He recommended me a good book to start with. How to properly hold a guitar, etc.. I know things are cheaper on the Internet, and the two things that he recommended to me were definitely cheaper, however, you can't get this type of service from Amazon .

Jampro is a top notch music center. It has about 6-8 sound proof rooms for individual lessons and a…read morelarge stage in the back for performances, presumably by students. The entire center is clean, spacious, and has a very friendly and welcoming staff. I've taken about 7 ukulele lessons with Hector so far and while I'm not anywhere near ready to perform on the stage in the back, I can see a noticeable improvement in the way I approach learning to play an instrument. I had picked up the ukulele for fun several years ago but my skill level stayed mostly stagnant until I started these lessons. Hector has also taught me to hear music in a more meaningful way. Without getting very deep in music theory, I'm learning to appreciate the flow, the tempo, and the genius composition of music artists in their songs. Hector plays multiple instruments himself and performs in the area when not teaching. His knowledge and passion for music are readily evident as soon as you meet him and he is one of those teachers who makes students want to come back to learn more. His easygoing manner and great personality take the pressure off without lowering the standard. He also has the uncanny ability to sense and adjust to my level (mostly limitations) and shapes the lessons around my abilities and interests. When I leave each lesson, I have a good idea exactly what to work on next without feeling overwhelmed. For anyone looking for music lessons in the area, I highly recommend Jampro.

She has been a part of several amazing bands through Jampro, playing both at their awesome on-site stage and at festivals and businesses here in town. The improvement in her musical talents has been a beautiful and impressive journey that continues to leave me in awe. All of the teachers have been excellent and top caliber musicians themselves. Jampro often served as a safe space for my daughter during some difficult times through the years. They treated her like family and I will forever be grateful. The facility is top notch and every thing you'd expect from a high end studio and more. They even have courses to learn audio production and DJ. I invite anyone to take a tour as you will be wowed by all they offer. The programs are not cheap, but I've found them to be worth every penny and a truly worthy investment in my daughter.

Thank you to Zach at Guitar Center in Reno for your Five…read moreStar outstanding Customer Service. I had purchased an Electric Fender Guitar for my daughter's birthday and fender case last year. This year we both came in to get a small portable PA system and 2 microphone sets which came with cords and stands in a cool pack. As a Drummer, I bought for myself, an Evans Genera HD dry 14 inch snare drum head, my first new drum head for my Tama 7 piece drum kit. I also picked up some new cool drum sticks. I can't wait to try out my new sticks with the sound of my new Evans snare drum head...a drummers dream! You are never too old to start playing an instrument. I am going to be 66 in July and I can say I play piano and I am a drummer. I may never go on tour or play gigs but I know playing the piano and drums makes me happy. Kids who play an instrument do better in school. I know because I have 3 kids. All grown now. All play music. Guitar Center in Reno has lessons if you ever wanted to just learn to play an instrument. You are not too old to start! Piano, vocals, guitar and drums lessons are available. All these instruments in a beautiful store with so many choices. Check this store out. See you again soon. I drove over 30 miles to pick up this order for him and while 4 other items on order had no problems, they claimed there was a credit issue with the guitar. They did not tell us this when we called for pick up info, did not tell us this when we arrived and gathered all other items, and only claimed there was an issue after 2 phone calls from my brother AND me going back inside. I asked for a manager in person and both refused to come out and speak with me. I will NEVER return to this place. This is not the first time we've had problems. Their service is garbage, and so is their product. Wish I could give zero stars.

This past weekend I was going to breakfast down the way, and had some time to kill with the wait so wondered on down. This is a GREAT local music shop with small venue in the back. So many instruments and a very cozy/warm atmosphere. The converted house is the perfect building for this type of business. The owner (or one of them?) was quick to greet us and show us around the place. I tried out a couple of vintage instruments when I was there and he was very knowledgeable and informative about what I was playing. Looking forward to coming back for a live performance at sometime. They seem to have routine jam sessions as well as touring musicians stopping by the place.

We rang the doorbell and were greeted by one of the owners, Don, and his dog LadyBug. Don informed us that if we were looking for records, we were in the wrong place but told us to come check out what they DID have. Mountain Music Parlor is a cute little shop filled with all sorts of instruments. So many that you'll have to go see for yourself including endless ukuleles, cricket violins, guitars, and more. The most amazing thing about Don was that no matter what obscure musical instrument or accessory we asked about, Don had it! From cajons to violin mutes. He also showed us the performance room where they have different jam sessions including Celtic nights, Old Time, Cowboy, Aloha Ukulele, Open Mic, and Bluegrass. They also have music lessons available for various instruments. I'm so glad to have stumbled upon Mountain Music Parlor and will definitely be getting all of my musical knick knacks from them for the foreseeable future. Always excited when I can support great local businesses like this!
