Yes, that is what it is called. No seat, no brakes, but weighs only 4 pounds and easy to squeeze together and swing into a car trunk with one hand. Vanessa was extremely helpful in fitting everything to me. Will be back for shoes and a leg-lifter (helps swinging up bad leg into bed and also getting into and out of the automobile). On the ADL website they have a blurb about costumer service. "ADL Customer Service: Our Customer Service Representatives are more like Case Managers. Each is responsible for a segment of our customer base, and they're with you from start to finish. Our Customer Service Team are specialist in insurance coverages, product knowledge, required medical documentation, and in being pleasant, professional and compassionate towards you, our valued customer." Section 5 of "our process" states. " Speaking of communication, our Customer Service Representatives are always available to be contacted either by business telephone, fax, email or VerbalCare®. In turn, they will make contact with you, if there are any changes to your order status, insurance payment, or otherwise. Communication is key and ADL understands this." AGAIN THEY STATE!! "In turn, they will make contact with you, if there are any changes to your order status, insurance payment, or otherwise." When asked why we weren't contacted a manager responded with "we're really busy". This is a business that people rely on for daily living needs and one can't even do that. I will say the customer service representative can be very kind except for when questioned on why things aren't working properly. Week 4 & 5: No response. Called again, spoke to woman who said she'd been wondering about this service call and would look into and get back to me. Week 6: No response. Week 7: Called again, woman said she's send someone out. I said someone already came out, said it was motor. She said he was new and more experienced tech might be able to fix. Week 8: While waiting for tech she called and asked if I knew I had to pay for service call. I said why, if 1st tech was incompetent. She said 2nd tech agreed with 1st tech, saw videos he took. I asked why he was coming out. She said she'd get back to me. She did and cancelled appointment. Week 9: She called back and said they got a new motor but had to charge me $1200 plus $400 service call. I said it had lifetime warranty. She said it didn't. I have paperwork that said it was. They refused to honor it. I gave up and had chair removed. They charged me $600 to take it out. They will fix it up and sell it for thousands. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS FIRM.
