The staff is absolutely amazing! They are all so kind, compassionate and truly caring of our fur babies. We had an emergency with our dog a few weeks ago on a Saturday. We brought him in as soon as they opened. Dr. Singh attended to us and Noodles, he made our dog his priority, even though he had a full schedule. He even took the time to call and check up on him the following Monday. The entire staff is amazing!

I had a great experience with Addison Animal Hospital last year, which is why I trusted them enough to return. Unfortunately, this visit was extremely concerning and changed my opinion of the hospital. The day before my appointment, I called for a quote for only a wellness exam and rabies vaccine. During the appointment, I noticed the doctor preparing two vaccines and asked if my dog was only receiving the rabies vaccine. The doctor responded, "Yes, it's two." No one clearly explained that my dog was also receiving the DHPP vaccine, and I was never asked for my consent before it was administered. At checkout, my bill was nearly $47 higher than quoted. Only after I questioned the difference did I learn that the DHPP vaccine had been added because it appeared on my dog's vaccination reminders. I wasn't even told what the vaccine was for until I asked. When I questioned whether it needed to be given that day, I was told no. What concerns me most is that if I hadn't questioned the higher bill, I might never have known my dog had received an additional vaccine. Pet owners should never have to discover what was administered to their pets by questioning a bill after the fact. Every treatment should be clearly explained, including its purpose and cost, and approved by the owner before it is given. A vaccine reminder is not consent. When I raised my concerns, I was initially told I had to pay the full amount and that nothing could be done until Monday because the manager needed to approve an adjustment. A staff member then offered to provide my dog's medical records so I could find another veterinarian. The doctor never came out to discuss the situation. The staff member eventually agreed to remove the DHPP charge but said, "I will remove the charge of the DHPP, but I hope I don't have to pay for this." I found this comment unprofessional and felt as though I was being made to feel guilty for questioning a treatment I had not knowingly approved. The situation became even more concerning when I received my dog's medical notes for an insurance claim. The notes stated that I couldn't afford the vaccine because we were planning a baby shower. THAT IS NOT WHAT I SAID. When staff asked why I didn't want to add the vaccine if my dog had received it before, according to his medical records, I explained that I was pregnant and trying to save for my growing family. I should never have had to share my personal circumstances to justify my decision, and my concern was never about whether I could afford the vaccine. I never said a baby shower was the reason, and I was deeply disappointed to see my words documented in a way that misrepresented our conversation. I returned because I trusted this hospital based on my previous experience, but I left feeling dismissed and misrepresented. This was not about refusing to pay for my dog's care. It was about informed consent, transparency, accurate medical records, and basic respect. I am sharing this experience because every pet owner deserves to know exactly what their pet is receiving and to have the opportunity to approve any additional treatment beforehand. No one should have to question a bill to find out what was done to their pet.
