I am new to Santa Fe and needed to furnish my condo with furniture that would fit. I was so happy to find American Home in Santa Fe and found what I was looking for. It was all due to this terrific sales person Christina Dallas. She not only went out of her way to find me what I needed but she was so patient with me... and because of that I went back for more furniture. I hope that Christina is the person helping you when you shop at American Home. She is a great asset to them. read more

I carefully ordered a custom couch, when it came damaged multiple people assured me their policy was to replace it. The salesman said he ordered the replacement. Eight months later, when asked where it was I was told "that's not what we do!" Multiple people at that company lied to my face and never came clean until I called them on it. They gave me a $300 credit on a damaged $1700 custom couch! The worst was the lying to my face on both ends. Shame on them! read more

We ordered a sofa and a love seat for a total of 8K. I texted with the sales person about our delivery date of 9/6 and the text is still on my phone. I called today to find out what time to expect it and was told the delivery date was changed to 9/26. I called the delivery number, they had no idea why it was changed. I texted sales person, she said she had no idea and I should call the store. The manager at the store said I should call the sales person I had already spoken to. When I explained that, he said since he didn't have anything to do with the transaction , he couldn't help me. Everyone passes the blame and no one wants to take responsibility. I will take my business elsewhere in the future. read more

Ameen the sales associate was very helpful and pleasant to work with. Kathleen, the general manager, made sure everything was to our satisfaction. We know international trade is suffering right now, but things worked out thanks to her! read more

As we arrived we were greeted by the Manager and we were informed of the sale going on we were just browsing so we went around and came across a recliner that we loved and were approached by Joseph who was extremely helpful in finding out if we could get two of them and explained the sale price and scheduled the pick up day/time for us and gave us his contact info so we could call him if we had troubles when picking up. We came out of there very happy with the service and experience. Everyone was courteous, like you know they are around if you need information but they are not helicopters over you. read more

my wife and I arrived from Las Vegas to purchase a mattress . a sales person approached us and my first question was , where's the bathroom. did my business then attempted to make a for sure purchase. I introduced my self and asked for sales persons name . response was Johnathan. I put out my hand to shake hands and he gave me a look of disgust. ok no problem. so while negotiating at his computer and looking at all our past purchases, I asked Johnathan, hows business going today? Totally ignored me . At that time my wife told the salesperson thank you but we are purchasing our mattress elsewhere. I don't know if Johnathan is anti Hispanic or anti heterosexual but we drove to americas mattress on 3232 cerrillos road and purchased a two thousand dollar mattress from Victor. read more

We bought furniture on Labor Day, it came with a free hotel stay, they did give us the hotel stay. We call back and get the run around. Will report to the cfpb. False advertisement read more

Jonathan approached me as soon as I entered the store and listened carefully to what I wanted. He put together the perfect sofa and at a great price. I recommend him and American Home highly. His helper, Jose, was also great. read more

Don't believe this store when they try to lure you in with free stuff. You probably won't get i. I didn't. Over July 4th weekend, my husband and I went into the Santa Fe store because of their 2 free hotel nights promotions and purchased a reclining sofa and chair for over $2,500. We qualified for the hotel voucheR. We were told we would receive it about two weeks after our first billing statement. Well that would have been late August. No voucher. Called our salesperson and was assured we would receive it shortly. Now 3 months later, no voucher. Just empty promises. I'll never shop there again! read more

Worst delivery service I have ever experienced. The first attempt at delivery they arrived with a truck that was too big to get to the location. Had to reschedule a month or so later and the sleeper couch arrived damaged. After several weeks a technician was sent and determined that it could not be repaired and needed to be replaced. More than 1 month later they attempted to replace the old couch but once again it was on a truck that was too large. This is after multiple notifications from us that they would need to have a smaller truck for delivery. Now we are still waiting on a reschedule of delivery. Based on our experience I would NEVER order anything from American Home. As a side note, the salesman was quite good and we liked the furniture we received that was not damaged. However, our delivery experience has colored our view of this business forever. read more

Now during COVID19 I'm trying to shop for a mattress - found one at American Furniture in Santa Fe, NM, BUT American Furniture currently is offering no exchange or refund on mattresses due to COVID which is preventing them from making sales. Every other mattress store in town is still offering their regular exchange or return policy. I've left 4 messages in the last 2 days for the general manager in Albuquerque because I was told he's the manager for the Santa Fe store also - today is day 3 and still no response. When calling the store after 10:00 a.m. get a recording saying the store is currently closed and opens at 10:00 a.m. I've called as late as 11:30 and still get the message saying the store is currently closed!! No way to be running a business :( read more

BBB is my next call. They lie lie lie and BS every time. read more

The "manager" was very unprofessional and didn't treat my family very well. We decided to go down the street to Ashley's furniture, where we were treated amazingly. Ashley's got our business for all the new furniture we were looking for. Would recommend avoiding UN-American Home Furniture. Their prices are very misleading also. Save time and money by going to Ashley's. read more

I actually like their products. The prices are OK. And until recently I would have said their service was good, but no longer. I bought an end table, which had to be shipped a week later from the warehouse. I showed up on the designated day -- no table. I waited to be called for the arrival, and returned again -- no table. I waited for another call, and returned again -- legs only. I was told I had picked up the top, which I hadn't. Instead I waited while they took apart a floor model and gave me that top, which I was assured was in good condition. So 4 visits and 3 weeks later, essentially I got what I could have picked up on the first try -- a floor model. Wow. And from what the delivery guys in the back told me, I was not the only one. Apparently the sales people don't know how to place orders, which means they are either incompetent or inadequately trained. read more

Looks can be deceiving. The quality is just not there. Once the original owner died...that was it. The stuff comes from China and the Phillipines now. Might be OK for some 5hings but I would avoid buying sofas or chairs here. read more

Overpriced, cheap furniture. Only thing I liked were the Santa Fe style accent pillows. I drove to this superstore because there was a sale. I was hoping to get a deal. Some of the price tags were laughable given the cheap quality. read more

My wife purchased some furniture and the very next day decided to cancel it. She was told she could do this by the sales person, Lydia. When she called back the next day she was told she needed to talk to Abraham and she'd have him call back. After several calls to the business, Abraham was never available and never called back. After 3 weeks of trying to get hold of Abraham she finally talked to Mike who agreed to cancel the order and refund the credit card. It's been an ordeal. This company obviously does not want to deal with customers who change their minds about purchasing product the next day. read more

American Home has the best selection of furniture in Santa Fe for those of us in the middle income bracket. They have wonderful furniture and a great team. We moved to Santa Fe with our furniture following us weeks later. I had 2 sprained ankles and we were sleeping on a blow-up bed. We went to the store to buy a bedroom set and found exactly what we wanted. Alphonso and the manager of the store pulled all sorts of strings to get the bed delivered within days so I wouldn't have to sleep on the blow-up bed - which was a real challenge to get up from. Their helpfulness and concern was very touching. We have already returned to the store to purchase more items and Alphonso is there to great us every time. I would recommend this establishment to everyone. You won't be disappointed. read more

I could get mgr to talk to me. always had salesperson to call. when I did get him I was telling him the problem I had in trying to buy furniture there. In middle if my explanation he said he had to get another call. I hung up. I finally did get a call back from him and he was very rude. I had already bought 2 pieces of furniture from American Home 4 days earlier. the set I was trying was almost $2000. I decided not to buy it and also cancelled another piece that was ordered, read more

Not happy. No one knows anything. A waste of time shopping, ordering items and waiting for items that were on back order after being told nothing was on back order at time of placing order. Four weeks later still waiting for my items. read more
