We purchased our Broken Arrow home last year and wanted to find a local company, invested in their community, that offered a preventative HVAC maintenance program. I knew I was searching for a unicorn but was shocked to find just that - and so much more - in American Home Pros! We've been impressed since day one. On every routine visit, they perform a whole system inspection and provide photos documenting their findings. In addition to emailing everything for our records, they take the time to explain what they discovered in a way that's easy to understand. When Chris V. uncovered our 1st floor AC needed significant repairs, he had a clear and comprehensive price quote ready for review within minutes. Wanting to explore our options, we asked about the cost of a new unit so he put in a call to the office. Within 2 hours, Tim was walking through the house taking measurements and listening to our concerns about inadequate ducting on the 2nd floor. Rather than tempt fate with a band-aid on an aging system, we elected for the replacement option. Impressed by their expertise and professionalism, we also included Tim's suggestions for upstairs improvements. We knew we needed a water heater flush, so we were thrilled to learn they also offered plumbing services. That same afternoon, Chris W. did our whole home plumbing inspection and was prepared to flush the system until he heard a knock coming from the tank. With our preference to be proactive, they put together quotes for repair, replacement or upgrade. Their entire team is always courteous, respectful, punctual, and friendly, making each visit a pleasant experience. They arrive wearing booties and keep their workspace neat from start to finish. We have peace of mind knowing everything has been done properly and they stand behind their work. The office staff proactively schedules our maintenance, relieving me of that responsibility. And their social media is hysterical - if you're not following them, you should be! Check every review site that you can find and the BBB if the provider is listed. And another bit of advice..... I had been doing business with the big boys, AIRCO. It has not been a good experience. I could compose a 4-page essay regarding the problems. Don't use them. OK that is out of the way. The heating and cooling system on my home was over 11 years old. Likely the cheapest unit the builder could find. It had not been touched since we had the house built. It was working sufficiently, but Oklahoma's miserable summer is almost here. It was time for a health check. My neighbor highly recommended American Home Pros. I wasn't really expecting a favorable prognosis. The friendly technician gave me 4 options ranging from no cost (pray) to the high end of several thousand dollars. And options in between; mixtures of primary organ transplants and installation of life extending support devices. I'm not putting any money in that old system. Pass. A couple of estimators came out a day or so later. We went through 4 options for replacement. With the PSO rebates I got a completely new heat and air system, at what I felt was a very fair and competitive price. A few days later the technicians show up for the install. This was not a particularly complex change out. In about 4 hours the work was complete. The new system is noticeably quieter inside the house and outside. Excellent customer service, dedicated personable hard-working technicians and quality products. The warranty on the new unit is very attractive. The young ladies that answer calls, Audrey and Haylie, are friendly and helpful. Chris V. came to diagnose the problem. I completely trusted him when he recommended a new unit. (Her unit was 28 years old.) Immediately after he left, Tim and George appeared to discuss the options. This review is based on long term experience. In July 2021, we contacted Innovative Air Pros to provide a quote to address long standing HVAC problems in our 2000sqft home. Cody did a THOROUGH eval of our issues, including humidity and rooms not cooling equally. He educated me on proper sizing of a unit, proper duct flow, insulation concerns, as well as the brick construction of my home in the afternoon sun. He provided multiple options, including a variable speed unit, which would increase efficiency and lower costs. With the unit he recommended and the suggestions that he provided like shading the brick from the western sun exposure, we have achieved much lower energy costs, much more uniform heating and cooling, and the ability to monitor/control humidity levels which makes our home safer and more comfortable. Fast forward to 8/2/2024, I just received an email from PSO, showing my excellent cooling efficiency , with my usage at 1,326kWh, significantly lower than efficient homes at 2,501kWh, and similar homes at 3,352kWh for the Summer 2023. Ultimately, I feel like this small business is not just trying to sell a unit. They are doing the work to evaluate your entire situation. Customer service has been consistently top notch. There is obvious emphasis on training and customer service. Technicians seem to be treated extremely well, as I have had Caleb for almost every service call, who remembers and follows up on my questions from previous appointment. This is not a high turnover business, who runs their technicians to the point of exhaustion and burnout. I have been using Innovative Air Pros for at least 3 years now. it is a young company who promotes customer service skills in their employees as well as technical skills. They are very prompt in arriving and for annual checkups you receive a written thorough report on the status of your equipment. The company just recently changed the way they charge for annual checkups. They now do a small monthly charge all year to cover the A/C and furnace checkups. So instead of a big payment 2 times a year that amount is covered over the 12 months making it affordable for most people. I am retired so that really helps me. Bottom line: VERY EXPENSIVE!!!!! Read details below. On Thursday Dec 31st, 2020 I called Innovative Air Pros to diagnose and repair my heater that had quit working. I saw great reviews online and their number was listed in my thermastat. I will start with the psotive. They were able to get someone out that very morning, which was very important since we were going into a long holiday weekend. The technician was friendly, professional and knowledgeable, and he replaced the gas valve and the heater works. Now the negative. After diagnosing the issue, and telling me it needed a new gas valve, I was told that the part was very expensive and it would cost $641.17 to go get the part and replace it. I was not given any breakdown of what was parts and what was labor. I was already being charged $85 for a diagnostic fee, which would be waved if they did the work. (This I knew) I was told that the place they get the part was closing at 11.00 am, so they needed to have it authorized quickly if I wanted the work done. I was pretty certain that I was being charged a very high price, but felt caught in the circumstances, with a 3 day holiday starting tomorrow. So I authorized the work. I got the part number from the technician when he returned with the part. and googled it to find that the prices seemed to range from $100 to $150 for that part number. I timed how long it took to replace the part. (about 30 minutes). Granted they did have to go get the part, but you can do the math. I felt like I was taken financially. Jusst be forewarned. read more
