The sales associate said he'd throw them away for me. Did not offer to credit me or apologize for the mixup. I had to purchase a new lock to replace the one we had to cut off and he didn't offer to take a few bucks off that for the inconvenience. I didn't ask for it because I was hoping he'd know to do the right thing. Starting a decent sized project in the area and was hoping to use this Aubuchon as my home base for tools and supplies.

Think Martha Stewart of general stores...it is very nice but zero authenticity. Given its locale, they provide things for horses, pets, hardware for home, deli, brand gears and everything and more that a typical general store provides towards those who keep 2nd, 3rd or ? homes. It is very well stocked with everything you may or may not need. They also have covered gas pumps and a couple of picnic tables outside. However, everything is over priced. Most items are priced higher than anywhere for convenience? Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking is a private lot and is free.

They are ALWAYS friendly toward me- know me by name and often make genuine personal conversation and inquire about how my projects are coming. Their products are good and very competitively priced- often beating big box store prices. The staff is knowledgeable and always ready to lend a hand finding items, offering materials and method advice, or brainstorming how to accomplish a project. The free and fast delivery is reliable and the delivery drivers and are like heros who regularly brave my dodgy woods road and remote location to help ease my labors, and they do it with a can-do, gung-ho and adventurous attitude. Overall the sort of experience of what I can only imagine a community hardware store might have been like when my grandfathers were my age.
