Castro from Soto & Brothers did his bit and came in with a quote thousands less than the others. Based on multiple reviews of this company, that is their modus operandi, along with high-quality work and using the same high-quality materials as the others, so I chose them. In the end, it took 2 days with a crew of not less than 6, and as many as 10 workers (plus crew boss) busting tail on my modest roof project. I watched the whole thing unfold. Everyone on the crew was friendly, happy and put out 110% effort. The entire process was efficient with suppliers coming in as scheduled with the necessary materials. They brought their own porta-potty. The problems they encountered were minor and fixed quickly, happily and without excuses. Most importantly, they charged me what was promised on the estimate. They did an excellent job, used quality materials as promised, and it was a completely no-BS, no-excuses process. I did a personal inspection...the roof looks great! The skylights were replaced with Vellux products that included remote-controlled shades, the clean-up was complete and if more contractors did business the way Soto & Brothers operate, there would be a lot less hesitation in wondering what we will be getting for our money. A friend who had his roof replaced a year ago had got quotes/interviewed 10 (yes, 10!) companies but went with Soto and highly recommended them. Starting off a little skeptical but their no-no sense approach, no 90 min slide show presentation (you know who you are roofing companies!), reviews and proven track record won me over. Real happy with the service, communication, and end result! Best part was they came in on budget with no surprises (notably less expensive than other quotes we got). Friendly, answered all our questions, and their crew knocked it out in 2.5 days for our 3200 sq/ft house roof. They thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. I wouldn't take a roof from Viirt if it were free…read more I'd negotiated with Viirt for quite some time on different options available and tried to do my due diligence before signing the contract. After multiple scheduling delays lasting months, Josh and his installer finally came out walk the roof a few days before the job was to commence. When they completed the walkthrough they didn't knock on the door to see if i was home. Instead, they left and Josh called me and told me they couldn't do the roof after all. It wasn't a roof they could do, the person I was working with didn't realize it and was no longer with the company, blah, blah, blah. Needless to say, it was mid-October and the rainy season upon us so I extremely displeased. Okay, I was pissed. In the months that my roof/project was being spec'd for details and materials (I had some specific requests concerns) and then the months of scheduling delays after the contract was signed not once did anyone from Viirt express any indication that this job was not something that they could handle. I'd gone into detail many times with different people from their org about the details of the project and never was a red flag raised. Then, when I finally am told that Viirt cannot perform the work, I receive a call informing me of this fact even though they were on-site minutes beforehand! Apparently Josh can't speak to a customer he's screwed over in person. In that call, Josh also stated that he would follow-up with recommendations for companies that might be able to do a roof of the type that was needed for my low-pitch and flat roof. That follow-up never occurred. I never heard a peep out of Josh or Viirt again. Which brings me to this review... Why now, 4.5-months after this fiasco am I finally writing a review? Well, I received a "Warranty Update" email from Viirt last week. Seriously? For work you never did on a job you cancelled? I replied to that email informing them that I wan't happy about that and wanted to be removed from all of their systems. Please and thank you. Obviously, they didn't get the message. I just got another email from them asking me to "lock in our winter pricing, TODAY" for a spring roofing project. Fat chance, Viirt. As another reviewer stated, you are horrible.

Ben installed PLASTIC gutters that he purchased from Lowes. (The tags were still on the gutters) I choose white, yet most of the gutters he installed were white except one, which was off-white. I photographed the gutters, left him a voice mail and asked him what his plans were to correct the color difference, which he did. That was Ok. However, the gutters were installed at the end of June. At the first rain they leaked, so he came and he said he made the repair. It didn't really start to rain until November, then the problems came. Above the kitchen window the gutters are so far off the eves that the rain POORS off the roof but misses the gutters entirely. On the front of the house one of the gutters sags, and another one has separated at the joint. I accept the fault of his crappy work because, although I didn't understand what PVC gutters are. I assumed they were a continuous vinyl that is cut into one long piece... BUT NO!. What he installed are 8 foot sections that snap together with HUGE mounting brackets AND LEAK/become separated. Of all the gutters to become separated, the one that failed first, (there's now 2) is the gutter above the garage, directly where I park. I would be better off not having any gutters at all. I can excuse his crappy product because he was 2/3rd the cost of the other bids. But I can not excuse him that he refuses to call me back. The gutters failed immediately after the first big rain of the year/just before Thanksgiving. I've called him several times leaving voicemails but he has not returned my calls. Nor has he come to the house to fix the mistake. HE HAS NOT HONORED HIS 6 MONTH WARRANTY!!

If they had knocked and let me know they were there, I could have put my dog away and I wouldn't have been scared by men suddenly appearing outside my window! We reached out to the company with our frustrations, and Todd Parkes responded and was so rude and passive aggressive, taking no responsibility whatsoever. He sent a picture of our empty driveway (we have a garage by the way) and this was supposed to be proof that no one was home? He said we could have come out and talked to his technicians! I'm sorry?? I am giving ABC Roofing a "C" grade due to the low quality of material installed in the "valley" of…read moremy building which is not the best quality as recommended by the shingle manufacturer. They started the job on my commercial building with two peaks, then left it unfinished for several days in the rain. I then hired a professional roofing inspector, and he was not impressed with the work done also pointing out the material used in the valley, which is vulnerable to perforations (stepping on it, nails, debris), a vinyl rubbery sheeting instead of the best choice of metal which would be stronger, more durable and last more than a year or two. ABC Roofing never discussed the choice of materials with me, and I expected "A" quality materials and workmanship for the price paid. Do discuss with the contractor and research every aspect of a roofing job before signing a contract and giving them a check to better ensure you are getting the best "A" job instead of a "C" job. Nice guys and they did clean up after the job was done.
