Stopped here on a lunch break and was seriously impressed by the food. I forget what the sandwich was called, but it had loads of cheese, meat and veggies, perfectly assembled. It was a bit pricey, but was well worth it.

I'm so glad I ran into this food truck at the taste. Their loaded Mac and cheese was the best food I tasted all day. The spicy pulled porked combined with their creamy Mac and cheese was a great combination of flavors. Very friendly owners; thanks for the free hat! Hope to run into you again around Chicago.

Obnoxious owner. At navy pier they kept honking for no reason. Very loud and shrill honk.

The outdoor patio overlooking the golf course is absolutely beautiful--relaxing, scenic, and the kind of place that makes you feel like you're on vacation. Even on a busy Thursday evening, the atmosphere was lively without ever feeling hectic. Our server, Jordyn, was outstanding. She looked young, but don't let that fool you--she was completely on top of everything. We were a party of six that couldn't decide what we wanted, laughed way too loudly, and probably tested her patience more than once. She handled us with grace, humor, and a smile the entire time. Somewhere along the way we started calling her "Wednesday" from The Addams Family, and she rolled with it perfectly. Great sense of humor and fantastic service. The food was excellent. The Crispy Eggplant Salad was absolutely phenomenal--fresh, flavorful, and easily large enough to share between two people. The burger was cooked perfectly, the cocktails were outstanding, and everything arrived promptly. The bar staff also deserve a shout-out. They were welcoming from the moment we arrived, made great eye contact, acknowledged everyone immediately, and had drinks in our hands in no time. That's the kind of hospitality that makes people want to come back. Fox & Turtle has the rare combination of great food, attentive service, excellent drinks, and a beautiful setting. It's the kind of place you expect to find inside an exclusive club, yet thankfully it's open for everyone to enjoy. We'll definitely be back.

The service is terrible and played around their "regulars" instead of them and average paying customers. This means you could be waiting to order or cash out as long as it takes for the bartenders to get out of their conversations, take a smoke break, and play on their phones for 30 minutes before actually making themselves present to you. I've also seen them trying to take shots with peoples parties and wind up getting into arguments with these customers when they found out that they're expected to pay for the bartender's shots even if they did not initiate it. Thats not as bad as how they let their regulars act and treat anyone in any way they please especially if they're selling or already hopped up on god knows what. Whats even crazier is that this place is a know "Cop Bar" and yet the cops never do anything here to stop any of it. The cops and management know exactly what goes on here and obviously get a slice of the profits so be warned, they will not be called by management. Instead, they let their bouncers handle who they think is trash. With all that said the vibe here is tense. Security is always fighting and tossing people out. Staff wont cut people off even when they are obviously not ok, because they care about the pay, not the wellbeing's of their clientele and to top all that off, the police come in off duty here but are never called in uniform when they are needed. The red flags are clearly present. You choose what you do with the information.

I had very good (not great) wings and a tasty grilled chicken sandwich. Not the best versions of either, but still very tasty and really hit the spot. It's very clear that this location caters to business travelers. I was there on consecutive nights - Thursday and Friday night. Fairly lively room good energy, but not rowdy. Big screens over the bar with lots of games on. I really like the service both nights. I was there. The crew behind the bar was super friendly and helpful. Offered a few samples of beers. If you're a beer drinker, they have a massive selection on tap (about 90 taps--and no, that's not a typo!). They also have a large patio that looks like a great spot when the weather is nice. Inside, there's a good mix of low-tops, high-tops, banquettes, and booths. All the tabletops feature copper tops with wood trim, and exposure to water and food over time has given each table a unique patina. We arrived right as they were switching over from the brunch menu to dinner, and the staff made us feel very welcome. What We Ordered: Smoked Brisket Reuben Eggrolls: We ordered these special eggrolls for the table. My friend has a shellfish allergy, and since many traditional eggrolls contain shrimp, he was excited to try these. He said they were the best eggrolls he's ever had (though he admitted he doesn't eat them often!). He paired it with a Guinness Zero non-alcoholic draught and was amazed by how close it tasted to the original. Fish Tacos ($19): Recommended by another reviewer, these come with three cornmeal-battered, fried Mahi-Mahi tacos topped with cilantro lime cream and fresh micro cilantro. They were crispy and very tasty. If you're usually sensitive to cilantro, you might still enjoy these--I mostly tasted a bright, lemony freshness rather than heavy cilantro. Sides (Broccoli Rabe & Asparagus): I substituted chips for a vegetable side. Due to a mix-up in the kitchen, I got to try the broccoli rabe first, though it turned out way too spicy for anyone at our table. My actual order was asparagus--my absolute favorite--but it was a bit disappointing, as the bottom half of each stalk was woody and fibrous. Fish & Chips ($21.50): My friend went with this traditional entry. At that price point, he was expecting three fillets, but he couldn't finish the two that were served and took some home. Overall, a solid entrée. Classic Breakfast ($15.50): My husband got this from the brunch menu. He was very pleased with the scrambled eggs, potatoes, thick-sliced bacon, and sausage links. Overall, a solid visit with great variety on the menu!

The on-site parking lot is quite small, but other business lots and street parking is available nearby, especially during events. I tried a sample of their light pilsner and purchased a 12 ounce prickly pear sour. It had a unique flavor to it and wasn't too tart or sour, as I find some to be. I would like to return and try the cranberry sour and German, dry pilsner. Perhaps after "Dry January!" (Hello Mocktails). I did not order any food but I do plan to return and would like to try some of their menu items. I enjoyed sitting at the bar with others and our server was delightful. I have also had their wheat beers which are tasty. Inside the brewery there is a cozy feel and the singing cook in the kitchen was fun to listen to, as he had a nice voice. Check out their fun fan merch for sale too. Happy "Brew Year" all!

We were not checked on regularly, were not offered refills, and were not asked about our experience with the food. Additionally, there were some concerning hygiene practices. She handled drinkware by the rims, and her hair was worn down while serving food and drinks, which raises concerns about cleanliness if hair were to come into contact with items being served. Service was also delayed, as she appeared to be on her phone multiple times before completing our payment. When I chose to switch from card to cash, her response came across as unprofessional. I was also surprised to see a $1.30 surcharge for card payments. While the fee itself is not the primary issue, it was not disclosed anywhere on the menu or within the restaurant, which makes it feel misleading.
