This is an excellent place to learn driving forklift. I acquired with practice on standup, standup with reach, sit down and I am confident to work any warehouse, Costco, Home Depot, Lowes watch it.. The graduates from American Forklift Training Center from City of Commerce is coming!! We are trained by our special training instructor Mr. Jamal, energetic, robust, knowledgeable, experience and teach with passion in the training. Students are motivated and confident in the training they received. The center hours today supposed to be closed at 1 p.m.and due to the practices and as a matter of fact some students do need more help and we all stayed until 8 to 9 p.m. willingly and poor Jamal who has a big heart stayed and mentored and ensured everyone had conquered their fears and became a well trained American Forklift Training Center graduates. I usually do not write reviews on places but I had to review American forklift training because the training so GREAT! I was tired of general warehouse labor so I decided to take my skill-set to the next level. As I searched for institutes to train at American forklift training stuck out like a diamond. You see, the only reason I attended was because of the reviews from the students that I saw here on Yelp. I was so glad there wasn't any hidden fees or any run around, Jay met learning how to operate a forklift so easy and simple and fun! (Yeah, fun!). Within two days I was working with full confidence on how to operate a forklift, ( and a lot better pay, might I add). before the job would allow me to operate forklift I have to take a test for them also, I got one question wrong and the tester was like he's never seen anybody passed a forklift test with such high percentage! And when I will get stuck at a certain operation of the forklift at my job or confused I just remembered the simple techniques Jay taught me and I was back rolling! I literally went from a general warehouse worker with no skill to a person who can go anywhere in the United States of America and secure employment with no problem. (Forklift is in very high demand!) As I work in the morning my telephone is constantly ringing off the hook, with agencies looking for people with forklift skills because they REALLY send your information to 120 agencies so you can almost be guaranteed employment. I Came In And In Minutes I Was Watching A Video On Forklift Operations And Safety, Once I Was Finished With That We Were All Handed A Quiz After Filling It Out We Went Over The Answers Going Over And Properly Informed Of The Correct Information And Answer And Why It Is That. After The Written. I Went On To The 1on1 Hands On Training. Once I Was Able To Operate The Forklify Correctly I Was Presented My Certification. I Was In And Out In A Few Hours. I love that I was able to walk in and take the class. The instructor, Jay, was friendly, polite, and attentive. He made me feel like he cared about his students and not like his next meal. He took his time in explaining all the details of the forklift to me and never rushed me. Once he saw I felt comfortable with the operations of the forklift, he let me started it up to begin learning the hands on. Again, he did not rush me and let me practice until I was comfortable driving the forklift. An awesome school for all of you who want a better career and better pay. They also sent my resume to 50 different agencies and I've had many calls for jobs. I really recommend this school and I'll be back to renew my license next year. Jay is awsome. I went into the building stressed, knowimg that i need something better but thinking im going to fail or not know how to do something. But once Jay started the review and his teaching he just really broke things down the right way. Even durring the hands on training. After he was done with me i thought i was already a forklift driver before i got certified lol. Not one classmate had doubts, we all left with our heads up in confidence. Jay is an awesome and patient instructor and trainer. He makes sure you understand the concept of the action of driving a forklift and the variations of them. They improve or always try to innovate trucks and forklifts to make it as easy and productive to the job as possible and Jay needs his students to learn the basic concepts so once you're on a job he won't be there to hold your hand, but you'll be able to handle the forklift with confidence and ease with the techniques he taught you. Being that I've never driven or operated a forklift before, let alone 3 different ones, Jay made it easy to learn as long as you don't think too much on the process. I went to American Forklift this past weekend to get certified and boy let me say, I highly recommend American Forklift to anyone or anyone they know that is looking to renew or to get there forklift license for the first time to come check them out.
