The instructors are very knowledgeable and thorough. I am currently enrolled and Mr. Gutierrez is my instructor. He makes the class fun, and he's also very hands-on. Overall, I like this training institute because they are very flexible and they can work with you as far as scheduling and payment plans as long as you communicate with them. Mr. Aguila is also a very knowledgeable, hands-on instructor for the morning class. The pay plan is affordable, and you don't have to pay every thing up front. As long as you have a bank account, you can make monthly payments and they dont run your credit or have you use any co-signers. I would recommend this institute for anybody who is looking to get a Guard Card (they offer a 1 day course), Weapons Permit, Taser, Baton, First Aid. they also offer a computer technician class which I honestly can't give an opinion on, but it is available here as well. Pros Great Instructors Easy Pay Plan Resume Assistance Job Placement Cons Rooms are often stuffy Nothing to eat nearby except McDonald's (can't blame them for that though LOL)

Second half is behind the wheel training where you learn how to inspect and operate a forklift, picking up and placing down pallets, and ending with how to leave a forklift parked. Jay the instructor is caring, patient, and professional!!! He tries to make the class as fun as possible so you retain as much of the information as possible. They work with many career centers to help find you job opportunities. The school looks clean and well organized. The parking lot is shared by other businesses so please keep in mind to park as close to the school as possible because your vehicle might get towed. Highly recommend to anyone looking to get OSHA compliant forklift certification training.

They let you practice as many times as you feel is necessary until you know that you have all the concepts down. If you're coming here to train, you will probably use the bathroom once and I felt the restroom was pretty clean. I saw most people that were going there were just renewing their certification and were there for about an hour maximum. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone I know personally.

I took the firearms class with instructor Henry Fimbres and it was a bad experience. The firearms class was 4 days long and its a 14 hour course, I have done it with other security companies and it goes smoothly plus its a relaxed setting. On the first day I walk in the instructor is wearing what looks like cargo board shorts and open toed sandals, kinda strange right off the bat. When it came to teaching, it was absolutely grueling and somewhat inconsistent with the material. For instance the instructor heavily emphasized the importance of gun safety for what felt like an eternity by giving us example after example about unlawful gun use and how security officers have been sued for misusing their firearms. Strangely on the third day (which we really didn't do anything it was like a filler day) he had a shooting simulator and you are basically playing the house of dead but with human actors. You are popping off people left and right on the screen the whole time which I guess is great target practice but these scenarios were unrealistic to what a security officer would face and probably ingrained bad situational habits that could actually get you sued in real life. Another activity they had us doing was loading magazines with the focus loading until your fingers were in pain. Fimbres tells the entire class that you will only have a limited time on the range so learn how to load fast but this is not true at all, you will have plenty of time to load all of your magazines since he stays there at the range and shoots extra rounds for fun so don't stress about that. Also why would you be loading rounds while on the job as a security officer? your magazines should be loaded before you arrive to work. What I did not like is that they have you fill out almost the entire BSIS packet (they filled out one small portion). I can understand from their point of view that certain information such as your name, address, telephone number, etc should be filled out by you since you know those details better than anyone else and it saves them time even though they only have like 6 students. Every security training company I know fills out the rest of the application especially the licensing part and the top part of the firearms qualification application since BSIS is extremely particular of minor mistakes and you can be waiting months just for a rejection letter. On the third day at least Fimbres could have covered those sections with that whole class if he doesn't want to fill them out instead of shooting people on a screen. Henry's wife was rude also, when I politely approached her to ask questions about the form she wasn't any help at all and just makes you feel stupid as if you should know what a PI (QM)1 is. To add onto that she would walk around the students sitting in class like a DI, almost as if she was a nun at a strict catholic middle school correcting students for minor inconsistencies. For us it was cell phones on the tables or what kind fluids are in the students containers but there was no help from her when it came to filling out paperwork. Anyways, you will have to call another security company and have them take care of the paperwork and have them look it over before you send it off to BSIS because here at this class they will not help you out. Even when I called them later on to ask about a few questions regarding the paperwork it was hard to get ahold of anyone since the number they put down on the application goes to the schools front desk and not to Henry Fimbres. So anyways to save everyone time they could just have you fill out there paperwork there and look it over for any missing sections or mistakes before they send you on your way but that makes too much sense. Another minor detail is that Fimbres gets weird if you take restroom breaks, by weird is that he will snap at you if you take "too many" or too long so it was this weird creepy controlling atmosphere. So don't drink any water either before coming to class or else you will get on his bad side without knowing it. Anyways save yourself the time and go to another security training company. I thought I was getting a deal paying $50 bucks for a firearms class but really it was not worth it, I would rather pay a couple of hundred more for a pleasant experience.
