She was so patient and nice. Her classes are super small, no more than 3 students at a time. And the price was pretty reasonable, considering you get very personalized one-on-one attention. No sewing machine required, she had everything you needed right there. The class was three hours, but she let me stay until I finished my project because she says it's important that students leave with a finished piece they made all by themselves. She also offers kids classes, so I hope to sign my child up very soon.

Andy was the instructor for the ACLS class and all I can say is that he is absolutely fantastic!! Having little to no experience with any ACLS situations, I was a little intimidated at first, but he made me feel comfortable with these concepts. Andy described each and every algorithm so well! He broke it down to the cellular level and made sure that we were all able to connect the concepts rather than just memorizing. He wanted us to really have the information stick in our heads. He is an impeccable teacher; I wish he could have taught all my classes during nursing school! With his trauma background, he told several personal experiences and provided us with different analogies that made this daunting topic much easier for me to grasp. He kept me engaged the entire time and I am definitely recommending all my peers to take his class!

I also earned my AA degree from a junior college, so I was already familiar with being in school and taking state exams. While attending this school, I worked as a notary notarizing loan documents, which gave me the flexibility to support myself during the program. The truth is that I have had a passion for nursing since junior college. Although Nursing is an intimidating career, I could not ignore the feeling that it was calling me. I entered the program one month after it had already started, which made the beginning very challenging. I barely slept at first, but once I adjusted to the pace, it became manageable. If you stay focused and put in the time & work, you will graduate. You must study, read the required material, and follow your instructors' guidance. At the time, our exam preparation for the NCLEX was through ATI. I graduated from the 21-month LVN program in July 2021. I was a COVID-era student, and although hospital clinicals were limited, we still attended clinicals when allowed. I completed several days at a local community hospital in Norwalk. Since graduating, I passed the NCLEX on the 1st try and have done well with my LVN license. I worked in a hospital for about 8 months but realized it was not the best fit for me because I wanted to help my patients more quickly without waiting for RN's to push IV meds. I now work at different rehabilitation healthcare centers (nursing homes) and sub Acute, which I enjoy. Overall, this school helped me take my first steps as an LVN, and I plan to pursue my RN in the future. I recommend this school to anyone willing to stay disciplined, prioritize studying, read their books, watch learning videos, and support their cohort. If you truly commit, you can succeed. The teaching staff is very knowledgeable, can be strict, but one appreciates it once you are taking the ncelx exam. This school works with you and its up to you to put in the work at home, if you put in at least 2 hours of study for every 1 of class, you will breeze through it. The ATI program we used is very helpful, master it and use it often. If you treat people with respect they will treat you with respect, that's everywhere.. I am putting my son through this program as soon as he's out of high school.

Secondly, if you plan on getting an ARDMS or CCI Certification after graduating, go to a different school. ATI doesn't have the right accreditation. (an Allied Health Accreditation) they are just accredited as a Career College ... nor do they offer the 600 hours externship which both agencies requir for you to quilify to to take either exam. SO, YOU CANT GET YOUR CERTIFICATION IF YOU DONT GET HIRED RIGHT OUT OF SCHOOL AND GET A YEARS' EMPLOYMENT. Majority can't get hired without certification. I've had interviews.. Those who want to hire me, say I need my certification require certification, and those that dont require certification continue to go with candidates who have more experience. Also, might be worth mentioning is that I literally had an interview with a director of Cardiology who knows of ATI College and his comment to me during, was "wow, im surprised you learned anything there." -___-
