Stopped off at the Costco here is Ogden, while my truck was being serviced down the street. Thought…read moreI would kill some time. This Costco is the nearest one to our house, so we frequently visit this location for our shopping needs and of course, our shopping "don't needs." Who's with me on this one... It seems like we ALWAYS leave Costco with items we had no intention of purchasing. (Well played Costco-well played) Because, who doesn't need 24 danishes or a giant bag of chips and 5 gallons of ranch dressing? But seriously. This Costco is usually extremely busy. It's a large facility, but at the end of the day, there is only so much room for people to navigated around. They have a large food court; which is always going strong. The store is organized and has everything you would expect to find at a Costco. Plus, clean restrooms. The Costco team members are always friendly and helping push customers through the lines. Which brings me to my only complaint. The lines are forever long. It seems like I am usually stuck for a good 10-15 minutes, waiting. They have a lot of registers and they are generally operating most of them... so, it's less of a shot at this Costco team and more of a suggestion that they open another location within 15 miles, to reduce the crowds and spread it out a bit. Today, I would like to wrap up by stating I was able to visit Costco and leave without spending a penny!!! Yep, I successfully won today... but to be honest, it's only because I was without my truck and didn't feel like carrying 10 pounds of desserts back to the dealership, where my truck awaits. LOL. I'll be back soon enough and will be guaranteed to spend more money.

You ass wipes are the only ones who rotate my tires and I have to pay for your f ups, I think not, you will get the repair bill this time and I will take my business elsewhere. Screw you guys and your excuses. PS you don't even deserve a 1 star...

I can think of two reasons someone would shop at Things Remembered: 1. They like fancy, frilly, or…read moreornate stuff or 2. They are a middle-aged man trying to get out of their wife's doghouse. While there, a mother was literally begging her 7ish year-old not to touch anything. I can't blame her: I barely trusted myself in the narrow aisles and the high fragility rate of the merchandise. There are glass snow globes with plinky songs playing; shimmering jewelry boxes with high gloss finishes, ceramic cups and wine glasses; personalized picture frames; fancy watches behind a glass case, etc. I can see the in-trouble husbands flocking here for the necklaces, purses, scarves, rings, and bracelets. And of course, plenty focused on "her": purses, scarves, jewelry, watches, etc. My personal fave was the jewelry boxes, amazingly colored in what they call "Piano Wood" with a high-gloss mahogany finish. Actually, I found a third reason to go into Things Remembered. Surprisingly, there is a good amount of stuff for the dudes. Fancy dudes, but dudes nonetheless: Sterling silver (cuff links, money clips, keychains, crosses, rings, dog tags, etc.); bar stuff; pocket knives and other tools; even cuff links, mugs, and glasses with NFL and MLB team logos. The thing that is important to Things Remembered is their motto of "Personalized Gifts". Almost everything can either be engraved or monogrammed ... and, in some cases, graphics can be added. Adding text does add up price-wise, but for the right gift a personal touch seems like a cool touch. I came after Christmas, and they had some epic 60-90% sales ... this is good since their prices are too high! Still, Things Remembered is a great store for the times when only fancy and personal will do. Dog house or not, I'll be back.
