They've really gone downhill. John went above and beyond in the past, but they really let me down recently. I had an underground oil tank removed, but it turned out there wasn't enough oil left in the tank to start the new tank. I called American Eagle the morning of to ask for an immediate delivery. In the past they had been incredibly accommodating and were able to schedule a delivery on the same day. This time, though, they said they didn't have any deliveries for the day, but they could schedule me for tomorrow. Okay, I thought, they'd bailed me out in the past so I would show them some loyalty instead of calling someone else. I asked to get a delivery early in the morning though, because we wouldn't have heat or hot water until we got our delivery. They said they couldn't guarantee anything but would try to make it happen.
Tomorrow rolls around and still no fuel delivery by 12:30. I call and ask for an update, and I'm told 2-3 hours. 2:45 rolls around and still no delivery, so I call again. Again I'm told "2 hours, depending on traffic" and "there's nothing I can do."
I don't know what happened with them. I think they started contracting out their deliveries because the trucks that show up don't have American Eagle's logo on them anymore. Sadly, it's time for me to find a new oil company. read more
