Well, it looks like I am the first person to write a truly glowing essay about this car mechanic. I…read moretried to write a Google review but it wasn't able to allow me. This is a privately owned, full service auto/diesel repair shop that is the best in terms of its promptness, professionalism, and honesty. It's so cliché, isn't it? Finding an honest mechanic? Gone are the days when you could pop your own hood and figure it out on your own. Cars are so complex now with computerization and sensors that without that knowledge, only the well-trained mechanic can diagnose and treat the many problems that could plague a car. Powerline has been a real blessing in this weird post-pandemic bad new normal of endless demand for service, worker shortage, parts in back order, and incompetency as the rule rather than the exception. Powerline has been completely fair in its pricing and transparent in its diagnostics. They are realistic about their time frames needed to fix the problem and yet still by the grace of God manage to service the problem in a timely fashion. We were beset with issues on our Dodge Ram 2500 bought brand new in 2020, and Powerline was able to assist us in fixing various odd issues without us having to wait for WEEKS just for an appointment to DIAGNOSE at the dealer, only to have to wait for more WEEKS to fix. When you pull up to this garage you will see huge fleet of trucks they are working on. Obviously they don't need this review, they don't care because they are busy busy!! But they are worth a shout out because these kinds of places seem to be far and few between now that big box places are trying to take over small businesses. The owner is very hands-on at the shop, they call you back when they say they will, and they are professional and transparent. What more can you ask for? They are easy to find in Rathdrum. I brought in my Lexus and although it's not a diesel, they were able to help me diagnose a non-issue for my peace of mind at no charge. Thank you Powerline and the team!!

So.... I have been back to this location to get my snow tires w/rims switched over for the season…read more They do this for free when you buy the tires from Perfection. Get to desk, tell the guy what I'm there for ....he asks for my name , I give it to him and.... He tells be I'm banned from the shop "because I gave a bad review on Yelp" is what I was told. I sort of chuckled and said no problem. I felt bad for the guy behind the desk cause he looked really uncomfortable telling me. I find it a little suspicious that a majority of 5 star reviews for this place (which aren't too many) are from people with less than 10 reviews with most only with 1 or 2 reviews and were posted after my review (guess someone got their friends to help him out a little) I gave this guy a 3 star review and I said specifically why.... Instead of taking my observation and maybe doing something about it (if it's valid) and the next time I came in, if things changed I would of updated my review to reflect that...like I have done on other reviews. Instead the owner, after years of having nasty seats, was planning to get them changed out before my review (like he states)....sure..In his semi canned response to my review he says "thanks for bringing it to our attention" & "we appreciate the feedback" obviously that isn't true. Anyway I looks like they did change the seats, but based on him getting his panties in a bunch because I gave constructive criticism and 3 star review .... This definitely is a place I wouldn't recommend and am changing my rating if this place.... I have had much better experiences at other similar places locally, one being the Perfection Tire in CDA, which have great staff and much nicer waiting room. FYI.... The mouth breather (not so bright one) still works the desk (he wasn't the guy helping me, the guy helping me was a nice guy from what I experienced), so I guess the owner got one thing right, by at least changing some seats out. Learn to swallow some pride and learn to take constructive criticism better and realize I can just go other places, but alienating customers can have negative consequences....like a bad review that others can see before they decide to use your establishment. So the take away from this is if you don't give this guy's establishment a 5 star review, expect to be banned.
