I was boarding my flight from New York to Miami a couple of days after Thanksgiving. Remarkably the flight was on time, everything was great except for these 2 individuals. They were probably some of the most nastiest people I've ever come across in my life. The personality of a rock, the decency of a cockroach, and the manners of a Lebanese whore. Few times in my life have I come across people like this, that I honestly wouldn't mind seeing them get hit by a bus in front of me.

While I don't normally don't fly American Airlines so I am somewhat bias but today was an okay experience. First off I got am email confirming my flight information including gate and of course I make it to that Gaye only to find out the gate has changed to another gate that was in another terminal. This required me to take a shuttle. Upon arriving I found my seat at my terminal.. but I never got a text or email letting me know of the change. Any who I can say this once I entered the airport I was greeted by an American airline rep. Even the TSA rep was so nice it really made my day especially that early in the morning. Great customer service. I am also thankful for the gate being near a decent coffee places. No starbucks which is my favorite but I am glad I didn't have to get dunkin donuts. It's the small things that make the experience rewarding. Come early cause you might have to take ashuttle.

I checked in online so my tickets were on my phone ready to be scanned -no kiosk. Once we arrived at our gate we realized there were no seats because the flight was full. We sat on the gate next door for while we waited. We had time to eat something and use the bathroom. Once they called our zone we we boarded within a few minutes. I did see some people's carry ones being checked for size restrictions. Ours wasn't as we only had backpacks. The seats were fine and the flight attendants were very friendly, we had a few laughs because of the jokes being said on the loudspeaker. A lot of people purchased "drinks" during the flight-especially buzz balls. When we arrived deplaning was smooth. It's a no frills airline, you have to purchase any snack or drink you wish to have. Some others are finally catching on, but Delta's app remains the easiest if you have a cancellation or issue and need to re-book as well as for bag tracking and gate updates. I have the Delta-branded credit card and get additional rewards and points through that. Priority boarding, free bags, and miles make me a Delta fan and I have brought my husband on board. Delta isn't perfect, sometimes there are issues, but they have less than most and I tend to feel I get my money's worth. I have less bag issues, seating issues, flight issues and arrival issues with Delta. They're one of the top domestic airlines for a reason. I'm very pleased with them and will continue to use them as my primary unless I have some reason I can't use them first. Delta has spent some serious money at LGA to update their terminal and Terminal C here is probably the nicest I've seen at any airport recently. Beautiful updated gates with comfy areas with plenty of seating and work spaces and charging options. Loads of great dining and shopping. A very nice Sky Club Lounge. Lastly, it's open and airy with windows and views of the water. White with warm wood pillars along the ceiling. I love everything about this Delta Terminal. If I'm going anywhere and I have a choice to connect here, it's my top choice.

After our flight was canceled, there was little to no communication, employees gave conflicting information, and we were left to figure everything out on our own. Customer service was extremely disappointing. Instead of receiving guidance, we were sent from one place to another with no clear answers about rebooking, our checked baggage, or what to do next. The baggage situation only made things worse, and the uncertainty over our suitcase added even more stress. We ended up spending our own money on alternate travel just to get home. While weather can't be controlled, communication, organization, and customer service absolutely can--and American Airlines failed in all three. This experience was frustrating from start to finish, and because of it, we will never fly with American Airlines again.

FATTIES AND WOKE LISTEN UP…read more This is my second time flying Spirit and my first time flying it out of LGA. My first time years ago out of EWR was solid and I'm happy to report that they've only improved. Spirit is known for the nickel and dime bait and switch but reading is fundamental and they've seemingly abandoned their most pernicious policies. READ ON to learn how to get the most value of of this airline: They have a product called Spirit First which includes The Big Front Seat. It's the equivalent of a first class domestic seat on legacy airlines. Comes with unlimited free snacks, beverages, and alcohol. The seats are wide and pre-reclined. BUT WAIT - purchase of this experience also comes with a personal item, a carryon, AND one free checked bag. Gone are the days when Spirit would financially ruin you for having a bag that was 1/2 inch too long. I even have a specially sized Spirit duffel from yesteryear that was compliant with their old "underseat" baggage rules. Let it go - we don't need it anymore. They've normalized lol. Anyway no one sits in the BFS because Spirit flights are so cheap in economy class. The flight I took to Chicago would have been under $100 if I stuck to economy. However as I'm fat and value not getting DVT as I cross over the Great Lakes, I sprung for the full GFE. Listen to me: this same itinerary on domestic first class Delta would have cost me $805. On Spirit it was $337. Be cute if you want but there's nothing cuter than saving $500. In LGA, Spirit leaves out of Art deco Terminal A. When we pulled up I actually thought I was in the wrong place - I always thought Terminal A was for decoration lol. But it's the dedicated Spirit terminal. I got from my car to seated by the gate in 5 minutes. FIVE MINUTES. Bag drop was a breeze, security was done in an instant, and the gates are 100 paces from security. All of the airport staff and airline employees were super nice. On board the great experience continued. Fat and Woke Stuff: Traveling as a fat flier is so nerve wracking. Small seats, mean passengers, inaccessible everything. However the Big Front Seats restore dignity to the process. Be advised if you may need a seatbelt extender, don't book rows 1 and 3 of the BFS as those have inflatable belts. Spirit has a detailed webpage that explains this so PLEASE READ it before selecting your seats. Spirit had a bad rap in years past because of its money grubbing tactics. I think it maintains one because of how it has democratized cheaper travel esp on shorter routes - and people don't like those that they think do not "deserve" to move about the country or world freely. Let me speak plainly: Too dark and too poor. Notice how whenever there's footage of an in-flight fight or disturbance posted online people are like "MUST BE SPIRIT!" Whole time it's a flight somewhere in western Europe smh. My flight crew was mostly Black and Brown and returning to EWR on the way back, many of the passengers were as well. I dunno about you but being with my people makes me feel safe, seen, and cared for. This airline is an incredible value. The planes are new, staff is friendly, and the BFS rival any of the bigger players in domestic first class. The Spirit infrastructure is much improved too. There were tons of employees by the kiosks ready to assist and the app is simple to use. I will not hesitate to use Spirit First again for my trips to Chicago. Economy class, however, can go to hell. Ain't no way that little bit of seat pitch is safe.

Spirit is a great deal. You will find spirit beat most of the flights on Kayak. So if you find a…read morenonstop flight you will get a great deal. Plus if you're going out of LaGuardia Airport New York City, It's Terminal A and And even though it is an old Terminal and it did not yet go through Construction like the other terminals, I prefer it because it's smaller and there are not long lines and walk to TSA is very short. Spirit Airlines doesn't have the best or most friendly staff but they are getting better because I find that quality of the staff are not as professional or experienced. And the technology at the gates are old. For example they didn't bother to announce that a flight was taking off and due to already delays it was difficult to know what they announced if they announced anything bc it wasn't done over the loudspeaker and it wasn't posted on the screens. The LGA airport Spirit used to have the most rude and disrespectful TSA staff. For example they would yell at you for no reason and holler at you to "stand over there, put your hands up" and talk to you like you were a prisoner who just murdered your son. The attitudes and total bullying was widespread across the board for most of the female TSA staff including managers and thought it was ok to abused customers. So I complained 3x to managers in 2023. And one flight attendant - another female was so rude and yelled at me to close the window and I didn't know why I had to do it so I asked her nicely and she just sucked her teeth and shut it really forcefully in front of me. No manners or respect. And the Gates at Terminal A for Spirit are not cool in summer bc it's jam packed and not enough seats and not good food and not enough bathrooms and not many charge stations. But beyond all this the price of the tickets are pretty amazing so I can't complain esp after they upgraded all the seats to vinyl leather and it was comfy and new. No the seats do not recline but the seats are wide enough and if you buy a comfy first class type seat for $20-$75 depending on the flight, it's huge. Just pack very light and make sure your suitcase is as small as a backpack or you will be charged. See pic for a good guide on what you can count as a personal item for free. And make sure you prepay for a carry on item bc it will be much cheaper when you book the flight. At the gate it will be an added $75 or so. Oh and if you get upgraded to a better seat they have a middle seat blocked w a table. See pic. . I booked one way tickets on spirit in 2024 for $21 per person from Chicago to NYC (ORD to LGA). Can't beat that.

I traveled with this airline recently, and the overall experience was smooth and well coordinated. From booking the ticket to collecting my baggage at the destination, the process felt organized and passenger-friendly. The ticket was booked online a few days before departure. The website was easy to navigate, and all important details such as flight schedule, fare summary and seat selection were clearly mentioned. The payment process was quick, and I received confirmation immediately, which gave me confidence that everything was properly arranged. On the day of travel, I completed web check-in to avoid waiting in long lines. At the airport, the ground staff were polite and professional while assisting passengers. They managed the counters efficiently and handled queries calmly. Boarding was announced clearly and carried out in an orderly manner. The flight departed close to its scheduled time, which made the experience more convenient. Inside the aircraft, the cabin was clean and well maintained. The seating was comfortable for an economy-class flight, and the leg space was reasonable. The cabin environment felt calm throughout the journey. The crew members were friendly, attentive, and professional. They responded quickly whenever assistance was required and ensured passengers were comfortable. In-flight service was satisfactory. Meals and beverages were served on time, and the quality was decent. Safety instructions were explained clearly before takeoff, and the crew ensured all guidelines were followed properly. Their communication was polite and reassuring, which added to the overall positive experience. The landing was smooth, and the arrival procedures were handled efficiently. Disembarkation was managed properly, and baggage delivery was timely. My luggage arrived safely without any damage or delay. Overall, the journey was comfortable and hassle-free. While there is always room for minor improvements, such as additional entertainment options or expanded meal choices, the overall service quality was reliable. Based on this experience, I would consider choosing this airline again for future travel.!!

I rarely write negative reviews, but after months of correspondence with Air Canada and a complete…read moredenial of any restitution, I believe other travelers deserve to know about my experience. My wife and I were scheduled to travel from LaGuardia to Lyon, France, on April 2, 2026 (Booking BL5Z42). Our itinerary began with Air Canada flight AC8641 from LaGuardia to Montreal. Our trip unraveled almost immediately. We were informed that our flight from LaGuardia to Montreal had been cancelled, and we were given two choices: delay our vacation by a full day or fly to Paris instead and make our own way to Lyon. To avoid losing a day of our trip, we chose the Paris option. Air Canada arranged transportation from LaGuardia to JFK so we could board an Air France flight to Paris. We appreciated that effort. However, the meal vouchers we were given at JFK were not accepted by the airport vendors, leaving us with $97.80 in out-of-pocket meal expenses. Because we arrived in Paris rather than Lyon, we also had to rent a car and drive several hours to reach our destination, adding another $289.38 in unexpected costs. Unfortunately, the return trip was even more frustrating. Before leaving France, we discovered that our return reservation had completely disappeared from Air Canada's system. It required two separate phone calls--each lasting more than two hours--to have our return flights restored. After arriving in Montreal, our connecting flight to LaGuardia was cancelled. We were initially rebooked through Toronto with an overnight delay before working with an airport agent to secure seats on the next available direct flight to LaGuardia. During the trip home, we received 13 separate emails announcing delays, cancellations, seat changes, upgrades, and downgrades. Keeping track of our actual itinerary became nearly impossible. At one point, my wife and I were upgraded to first class. A few minutes later, I was removed from first class and reassigned to the last row of the aircraft in a non-reclining seat while my wife remained in first class. After everything that had already happened, it felt like one more unnecessary frustration. To be fair, every Air Canada employee we dealt with in person was courteous, patient, and genuinely tried to help. My criticism is not directed at the frontline staff. My disappointment is with Air Canada's handling of the situation afterward. The airline ultimately attributed our travel disruption to weather and declined any reimbursement or goodwill compensation. While weather can certainly disrupt air travel, many of the issues we experienced were unrelated to the weather itself: our return reservation disappearing from the system, more than four hours spent on hold to restore it, unusable meal vouchers, repeated itinerary changes, conflicting notifications, and the complete lack of any customer recovery despite documented out-of-pocket expenses. In total, we incurred $387.18 in additional expenses, not including the many hours spent resolving problems that should never have occurred. Travel disruptions happen, and I understand that airlines cannot control the weather. What they can control is how they care for customers when things go wrong. Unfortunately, that is where Air Canada fell well short. What should have been an unforgettable vacation became memorable for all the wrong reasons. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Air Canada and will choose another airline whenever possible.
