"run away from this place." I kept receiving bills for things they originally said my plan would cover. Their quote for treatment was insanely high, and when I said no, the staff member became rude and pushy .... telling me it was "my health and my risk" and implying I was making a bad decision. When I confronted her, she backed down. The whole environment feels focused on overselling, not caring for patients. read more

People thinking about using American Dental Solutions need to know some things. I was a patient from 2019 until mid 2026. In that time I saw at least 5 different dentists at the location I went to. I had about that many different hygienists. I had 2 crowns installed, one which did not fit without grinding down the top until it was almost flat. After that food kept getting stuck between that crown and the crown above, eventually causing tooth decay under the crown above the "almost flat one". The top tooth had to be extracted in January this year because the dentist said it was a good possible it could not be saved and I was not ready to spend the money to try and save it and the possibility of it needed extracted in the end. Now, after only 3 years the poorly fitted crown has a cavity under it again (decay under the original crown). The original crown had been there for 10 years. So, was crown not properly sealed underneath? I have learned the hard way less expensive dental care is not the best route. I don't want a different dentist and hygienist almost everytime I go for a checkup. Wish I had read the posts on Yelp before I went there. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. This dentist ruined my daughters mouth causing her to get an infection requiring antibotics and requiring her to pay an additional $2000 to go to another dentist to correct his mistakes. He shaved her tooth stating she needed a crown when she DID not, he then said she needed a root canal which she DOES NOT. this was a horrible experience and I strongly caution anyone going to him. read more

I have been going here for years. I called in January/February and could not get an appointment for a cleaning until July. I had to reschedule my appointment and now can't be seen until September. At some point you need to slow down on accepting new patients when you can't even accommodate the current patient load you have. It's all about $$. Looking for a new dentist. read more

American Dental Solutions in Audubon is a totally unprofessional operation. I went there for an estimate to have implants for a full mouth restoration. I was told they couldn't give me a price until i saw an oral surgeon which nthey scheduled at another location. After being told that they would e-mail a treatment plan (which they never did), I was handed a hand written list of prices for proceedures which I guess they thought were necessary. I dont know , because I never spoke with a dentist about a treatment plan. At this point, I decided not to use American Dental, because they don't seem to be very professional. Having never been quoted a price for the restoration, I didn't expect to be billed. I have seen no results for any testing, nor have i seen any x-rays etc. Now they want me to pay an exhorbitant price for what is essentially nothing. David S. read more

1 day ago Absolute worst ongoing medical experience of my life. Haven't met a mistake they won't make. Completely unwilling to expend any effort to aid someone in pain or discomfort. Money is the first, last and only thing this office cares about. Even if you have exceptional and uncapped insurance. Billing department runs the show. Sadly, as the office manager said to me directly, the billing department "sucks", so that becomes an almost immediate and irreconcilable issue. Run away. Fast and far from this amateur hour. Really sad because the actual surgeon is great but the mistakes, poor attitude and lack of effort on the part of the office and billing team absolutely ruin any and all good. EDIT: called with a question last Thursday and they responded to the public facing Google review BEFORE the patient. It's now Monday and I have still received ZERO communication. This is what you'll be dealing with. EDIT: I was told Thursday morning that Office Manager Mercedes was with a patient and would call me immediately when she was done with them. Tuesday morning now and American Dental Solutions has responded to BOTH Google AND Yelp reviews from last week before responding to me directly. Doesn't take days to return a phone call that had no message other than call me back. There was nothing to check on or coordinate with anyone else. read more

Stay away from this practice. The front desk woman at the Lititz location - Celeste Smith is extremely rude and unprofessional. She quoted me the wrong & higher rate for crowns and tried to forcefully tell me that if I did not go with the option of higher priced crowns, the practice will not be able to take care of my teeth at all. It is only when I called up another office location in Lancaster & spoke to the manager (Mercedes) there that I got a correct response with the type of crown I needed for my dental treatment. Celeste even had me wait in the waiting area at the Lititz office for close to 2 hours by simply saying that the doctor is busy with other patients. Celeste Smith needs some SERIOUS coaching on how to talk to customers & also how to be ethical!!! She is really going to run the owners into the ground with her attitude and unethical behavior. read more

I had schedule an appointment at 4:30pm They sent the notification 3 days before with the reminder. Then the day before the appointment was automatically changed to 4:00pm by them, they call to confirm and I confirmed the appointment was at 4:30pm She said I have you down for 4:30pm The day of the appointmen, again they send notification by sms I replied. Drove for 29 minutes, rushed to get there. I was late 8 minutes due to traffic during the peak hours in Lancaster, got there at 4:38pm and they said the specialist had left already. Never coming back to this place, not worth it, not professional at all. read more

This is for the scheduling department. I cannot speak for the medical staff, but first hand contact is important, too. I called the Lancaster phone number to inquire about an appointment for a root canal and Michelle was extremely helpful, professional, patient and kind. She was helpful beyond her job description at this office, she gave me advice moving forward, when it looked like American Dental Solutions would not work for me, distance-wise or regarding needed medical equipment. She simply did not have to go out of her way to advise me regarding calls to others offices, but still did. She brought up things I hadn't thought of and saved me a lot of time and trouble. Very impressed with her customer service/people skills and knowledge. Great phone experience, overall. read more

FRAUD Aside from their inability to provide service, they continue to try to defraud. - Dental checkups took hours waiting for a DENTIST that NEVER ARRIVED. I was billed for his checkup anyway. Days later he finally emailed that he looked at my x-ray. He never talked to me or even looked in my mouth. - They add unapproved surcharges for "COVID" - They harass and defraud with repeat bills for no reason. They refuse to identify what the bills are for. Insurance confirmed I owe no money. - Do you want poor service and be defrauded and harassed, then come here. read more

My son went there for braces and finished about 2 years ago. His teeth have now shifted back and nog only does he have badly receding gums (most likely from ADS's shoddy orthodontics) but needs to go into braces again. Our new orthodontist has also informed me that he will need an expander which ADS should have caught years ago when it would have been easier to do. Do not get orthodontics here unless you want to have to get it again a few years later. read more

If you need dentures do yourself a favor and do not get them through American Dental Solutions. Even though this practice has a few people that care my experience with them has been a nightmare at best. I've had nothing but problems with the dentures that they had made for me from the very first day they were inserted into my mouth due to them being made to large. The top denture was that large that it would not stay up following my surgery which caused excess bleeding and a trip back to their office less than 2 hours after surgery to get the bleeding to stop and the denture glued in place, imagine having to use denture adhesive on open wounds in my gums because they made my top denture too big and refused to remake a denture that would actually fit. Three weeks later they put a soft reline in my denture but once again due to the denture being too large and needing adhesive to stay in place the soft reline came out in a couple of weeks. This happened 2 more times before they decided to try a different material for the reline however when they used that material the change became permanent and when it was time for my hard reline they were not able to do it correctly because again the denture was never made correctly. American Dental Solutions solution to this problem is for me to pay to have a new denture made when they should have either made the denture right to start with or remade the denture from the start. And people this is just the top denture, the bottom denture that they had made has broken 4 times now and again their solution is for me to pay to have a new denture made which I will probably do but it won't be through them. read more

Please do your research on this dental practice! AMERICAN DENTAL SOLUTIONS in Lancaster is not professional in any capacity. The dentist that I was assigned is only worried about how fast she could work to get you out of there. The atmosphere is so casual that the staff refer to the dentist as "DOC"... leaving me feeling uneasy about how seriously they take their profession. Honestly patients deserve better treatment. read more

I went to American Dental Solutions for a cleaning. I also had a chipped filling in my front tooth. The dentist and hygienist were very nice and seemed to know what they were doing. The dentist recommended a crown for my front tooth. The girl at the front desk gave me an estimate of over $600.00 for the crown. My dental insurance copay for the crown is no more than $395.00. She also charged me $10.00 for the cleaning, which should have been completely covered by my insurance. I got no itemized printout of the treatment plan, nor did I receive an itemized receipt for my payment. This office charges a $5.00 surcharge for every visit to their office. My agreement with my insurer is that I owe no more than the specified copay for any covered procedure. The provider agrees to the same; this appears to be a violation of this office's agreement with my dental insurer. read more

I've been going to this dentist for years, was verbally attacked with profanity by another customer in the waiting room! Also, I did not get my tooth repaired with the appointment I scheduled... Called central scheduling to schedule the appointment, told them that my previously broken tooth had chipped off again, asked to have an appointment to have it replaced. When I got there, they told me that they were just looking at it, and I will need to wait another week to have the corner of my tooth put back on! read more

I have had different procedures and I can say the staff is very personable and take care of all my needs. The doctors do change often but so far they have all been super nice and get the job done. The front staff is iffy especially when it comes to billing. They told me I was paid in full and then when the day cane to remove my braces they let me know they made an error and now I had to pay another $1,700, when I asked for receipts, the manager seemed annoyed and basically said they didn't have detailed receipts as I needed. She was more focused on eating than talking to me. When I went into the office to make that payment I then was told I owed less which just made me feel uneasy that I kept being told random amounts. I should have definitely looked at yelp reviews before going with them because a lot of the reviews are about their billing. I would not go back with this company in the future after my treatment is complete. The 2 stars are because of the actual doctor and his direct employees that took great care of me. read more

No complaints about the dental practice, but the orthodontics have been a problem. My son has had wires break six or seven different times. I stopped coming in to get them fixed because it wasn't worth the hassle--the fixed wire would break just as fast. Then, a full year after I paid for the braces, I received a bill for over $200. I called several times and was told they would follow up with the insurance company and call me back, but no one ever did. I finally just paid it to avoid going into collections. We will be switching to another practice for the next phase. Bottom line--there's a reason this place is 1/3 the price for orthodontic care. read more

I went to Lancaster location - easy to get appointments, friendly staff. My dentist did a really good job on fixing a filling that fell out. It looks even better now than before. Now, I did 4 stars because they need to provide safety glasses for clients ( they didn't offer any for me). Also, dentist didn't have assistant most of the time and had to worry about suction tube while drilling/fixing a filling. I did have to wait a little bit until the dentist came in after the X-ray was taken. But once he checked my teeth, he did the work fast and good. Also, I almost didn't feel the needle when he was injecting anesthetic. I'm pretty paranoid about those needles and he did a good job! read more

After dealing with staff in the East Norriton office I can't stand the place. The doctors for the most part were good. The management staff is awful. While getting a quote the manager kept saying sedation is covered at 100% then she said thats for one hour you will need two. To which I say wait so sedation isn't covered 100% to which she said "you are not listening". Then she repeated the sedation is covered 100% when it's not. I could not tell if she was that unintelligent but she was rude for no reason and you don't tell a customer they are not listening...especially when you are wrong. Tish you seem to be reading these reviews...I was also given the wrong email for you to file a complaint. As both a clinician and someone who was in leadership and am highly educated around it, your managers are awful and unprofessional and your regular staff is clearly not trained enough. That practice lost $45k in one day bc of the approach of Angel...not too impressed with Destiney either. You need a leadership retreat and a lot more training. Still haven't got the right email to find out how to make a formal complaint. There are way too many people rating a 1. And your overall score on Yelp is a 70 which is a C-, you can't charge the kind of money you do and get a C- in my opinion. read more

Always had a bad experience. Something is wrong repeatedly having to return, not top-notch quality or customer care.

Worried about pain? Don't! Dr. Kapa is great. Another visit, this time a root canal and a cap. No pain, not even with the shots of novocaine. I'm not kidding, even those were painless. Sure a bit uncomfortable when your jaw is open that long, but Dr. Kapa is very gentle. I had my four wisdom teeth extracted (top two with Dr. Kapa) and the same can be said. No pain on any. I won't say it's enjoyable to get the work done, but it did not hurt at all. Go! See Kapa and get it done then. Don't wait like I did. The whole staff is very nice. Thanks to them as well! read more

Cannot trust all of American Dental Solutions. Absolutely horrible office and overall dental company. The first issue was that I called the call center to make appointments and had to wait 2 months for a cleaning and the day of the cleaning I had to leave my business trip early that morning to get to the appointment because I had already waited 2 months. When I got here on Nov 19, I was told this location doesn't do cleanings as of September. I was never told this even though I made my appointment end of August through the call center and they never told me that my appointment was cancelled. Then they rescheduled me coincidentally a few days later at the lititz location. I couldn't get an appointment for TWO MONTHS and all of a sudden they had an opening at the lititz location 4 days later? I get there and the cleaning is fine but their imaging system went down so the dentist couldn't take x-rays. I already waited long enough for a simple cleaning and they wanted to reschedule me another day for imaging. How unprofessional. Do you not have any technology that works? Now I also have had a wisdom tooth surgery that I had to schedule two months prior and only on a Thursday which is the only day the surgeon can come in. I told them multiple times I have to work in NYC on Wednesday and Thursday so I need this appointment reconfirmed multiple times especially after what happened with my cleaning appointment. I get to the appointment, had already taken the day off, and the lights were out. No generators were working or the breaker. Once again this incredibly unprofessional establishment has technology that does not work. While we were asked to wait, it seemed like all the employees decided to party and play games loudly instead of figuring out how to fix the light issue. Someone had came out to reschedule everyone, she was incredibly rude when I told her and another patient told her we were rescheduled many times. I asked to talk to a manager and she rudely said she is the manager and then She then tried to make excuses that last week another doctors wife went in labor to make the situation light that this is just Mother Nature. That doesn't help at all, it doesn't help that your locations have the worst equipped technology and have screwed patients over many times. This is the most unorganized , unprofessional, and disgraceful dental office I have ever been to. read more

I was at American Dental two weeks ago for an emergency visit as my back molar broke. I was told after one X-ray- not a bitewing I would need a root canal and then a crown. I had to wait two weeks for an appointment with the endocrinologist with a broken tooth and having to chew on one side only. I get there yesterday and the endocrinologist cannot find the X-ray taken two weeks ago and has to do another this time a bitewing only to be told he cannot do a root canal tooth is broken too far down- now why this wasn't discovered and discussed at my original appointment I don't know- too rushed it seemed. Now I came home early from my vacation for this appointment only to be told I didn't need a root canal and back to square one two weeks later. I would advise your dentist at that office to take their time and do a better job before they get sued for malpractice! Not even sure what to do at this point! read more

I initially gave this office three stars. However, just a few days after posting my original review, I had a serious unsatisfactory experience. I previously expressed the office switches Dr's often. Three weeks ago I went to a Invisalign appointment to discuss future treatment. My appointment was not with my original Dr., but I did not complain. I felt like I had to educate the new Dr on my treatment goals and expectations. I was told they would order a new course of trays and it would take 4 weeks to receive. Three weeks later I received a call asking me to sign paperwork. It turns out they never ordered my trays!!!!! Someone forgot to have me sign consents for the new Dr at my last appointment. I was livid. The receptionist offered to send the form by email. Its been three business days, I still haven't received an email. To make matters worst, I am working out of town and I cant drive by the office to pick up the paper work. I am not happy with how this chain operates. The only reason they are getting two stars is because I do see an improvement in my teeth. Previous comments: I go to the Lancaster Office. I think the customer service could be better. There is no privacy in the office design. The Ortho room is an open floor plan. They switch Drs often, so you don't know who you will have each appointment. I considered changing providers. However, I've invested too much time and money to switch providers at this point. read more

Friendly, and laid back atmosphere. No pushy tactics. Switched from another local big name dental chain, and have absolutely no regrets.

This is the absolute worst company to deal with. Scheduling is a nightmare. Had a ortho check up for my son and was told to come back in 2 weeks. Okay, fine. But the first available was 4 weeks out, then on top of that they just called and said they had to reschedule. Another time after an ortho check up, something broke as soon as we got home. So I called, and guess what? Another 3 weeks! He's had braces now for 2 years and they told me he has another 8 months left, minimum. (They estimated it would take two years in the beginning.) They also do not have their staff trained on proper sterile procedures. I've seen them no use a new pad for their tools used on my sons braces. It was dirty and I saw the tech had written notes on it, in pencil, on another patient. If your child needs braces, I strongly recommend finding another provider. read more

Shady billing practices. Rude staff and very unprofessional.
