My girlfriend was there since I had to go to work. She was very comfortable with the contractors; one man and one woman which made her feel safe. I contacted American Cowboy Roofing (a company I have used in the past) about doing a roofing inspection. I was told there would be $150 fee which I agreed upon. On Aug 2nd I arrived home and there was a hang tag on my door saying they had come out and I would receive an estimate in the next couple of days. I looked at my outside security camera and what I saw was surprising. Knowing they didn't go on the roof I sent an email back with the following, "Did someone actually come over yet and go on the roof to look at it?" The response I got back was, "Yes sir, the $150.00 needs to be paid first before we can send the full report. ". At this point I responded with the fact I had video showing the roofer did not go on our roof and he was there for just under a minute to drop off the door tag. I then received a call from the company saying they were trying to get in contact with the roofer to find out what happened. The next day I received an email with 2 quotes, 1 for a new roof and 1 for roof repairs and the following email: I spoke with our technician regarding the roof inspection. He was not able to get on top of the roof however he did park in the coldesac and walk around the townhouses to try and asses the damage from the ground. I have attached pictures for your reference. There will not be $150.00 charge as we we're not able to get on the roof and do a full thorough examination on the roof due to the height of the townhouse. He did make note there was a gray pole back in the woods and he did climb up on a broken tree to try and get a better view of the roof. If you have more questions or would like more clarification please feel free to call Steve at XXX-XXX-XXXX. I have also attached a repair proposal as well as a replacement proposal based on Steve's recommendations from what he was able to see from the ground. We appreciate your business and apologize for the mishap. When I questioned how they could accurately assess my roof from the ground, their answer was they had a pair of binoculars and their technicians are very qualified. Anyways as you can tell from this series of events, the company lied to me, tried to charge me $150 for work they didn't do and then tried to sell me a new roof or repairs without actually going on the roof. read more

I have used this company a few times over the past 8 years and would highly recommend them. I have had roof repairs to stop leaks, siding replacement from storm damage, and a total roof replacement due to storm damage. All have been done honestly, professionally and at a reasonable cost. The purpose of this note is to compliment "American Cowboy Roofing"! I found them to be professional, polite, knowledgeable, honest, timely and their workmanship is great! I am in the process of selling my home and decided to get some routine maintenance completed! I also asked them for a written report on the general condition of our home! I know that "American Cowboy Roofing" has an excellent reputation for honesty, fairness and quality of their workmanship!Therefore, I called and scheduled an appointment! I also asked if they could do it quickly and they complied! My goal was to ask a professional to confirm the general overall condition of the roof! To document that the roof still has a life expectancy and to have them handle the maintenance! I called on a Thursday and the inspection took place the next day on Friday 3/3/17. They completed the repairs on Monday, 3/6/17! I received the written document on Wednesday 3/8/17! I now have everything needed to expedite the sale of our home! I know nothing about my roof so I needed to find an honest company. I found that with American Cowboy Roofing. I am also a single women so I worry about a company taking advantage of my lack of knowledge. I found out, after they got here, that the company is owned by a women. She actually came to my home for this appointment. They got on my roof, found the issue, and the owner explained to me what was wrong. I needed a new roof. I had 3 companies come out, American Cowboy Roofing was one of them. They scheduled an appointment that worked for me. They were on time, got on the roof, and took their time. Cindy, the owner of the company, ask me to come out side so she could explain some things about my roof. She actually pointed out areas on my roof that had issues. She had photos and explained everything she saw. She also said they felt soft spots under their feet and expected to have to replace up to three sheets of plywood (when the roof was done they only had to replace 2 sheets of plywood, YEAH). The other two companies sat down and spent over an hour trying to sell me a new roof. Cindy explained what needed to be done, told me to contact her if I had any questions, and left. She wasn't pushy. I felt extremely comfortable with her and her technicians. She wasn't the cheapest but also not the most expensive. I chose American Cowboy Roofing to do my roof. They did a wonderful job and the clean up was phenomenal. She even came back six weeks after the job was performed, walked the roof one more time, and made sure I had all questions and concerns answered. Our house needed a few roofing issues to be addressed and corrected after a home inspection. I called ACR and they were very courteous and prompt to come out and evaluate. Steve and another worker came back a couple of days later to do the work. Steve explained everything that he was going to do very thoroughly. They did a great job! We experienced significant damage to our roof during a recent storm. We called 5 different roofing companies, yet none were willing to come out and help. Rain was pouring into our Vienna home.
