I'm I'm from out of town. They told me about dry. Cleaning would be ready Friday at five. I showed up early at 4:15 and they had a sign that they were closed for the day from Memorial weekend and yet the person told me to pick it up no earlier than Friday I'm live out of state and I am leaving and not coming back here for several months so they're gonna have to ship my dry cleaning to me and they just don't respond read more

I would give this business zero stars if possible. She took 2 months longer than quoted to finish & taylor my wedding dress. The dress was dropped off on May 14th and picked up July 31st. When I received the wedding dress back there were 6 jewels missing from the center of the sash and multiple spots that were not tacked during the seamstress fixing process. When I called regarding my issues, the business owner yelled at me over the phone and then hung up on me. She told me that I would be the only one who noticed the missing jewels. She offered no apology and was VERY unprofessional. I am a lifelong resident of Mt. Pleasant and will never be using the services of her company again, and will make sure all of my friends and family are aware. read more

This is the worst place in Michigan you could possibly go to. I took my uniform in to get alterations and they were so rude. The owner basically lectured me on how I waited too long to bring my uniform in, even though it was three weeks before the event. Then, when I picked up the uniform, there were so many things wrong with it! The ribbons I needed sewed on were completely uneven and poorly done. I am going to look totally unprofessional wearing it, but there is no time to get it changed! I would never go here again and discourage from thinking of giving them your business. read more

I was new in this town and I found this cleaners on google. I called and asked a lady on the phone how much they would charge for the suit and what's the turnaround. She was friendly and said one day turnaround. I was happy that I got the answer that I was looking for before I dropped off the suit. American Cleaners is the best Ever!! I took a all white bridesmaid dress to American Cleaners on 4/30/18 received it back today just like new all stains gone. I purchased the dress 15 years ago for my sisters wedding and spilled red wine and food on it at the reception. I took the dress to several dry cleaners of the last 15 years which said they could not do anything with it the stains were set in and red wine will never be removed from white. American Cleaners removed all stains restored dress to original state. I would recommend them to anyone. Thank you American Cleaners! read more

If I could have half a star, I would. American Cleaners has an adequate staff, who on occasion can be friendly. When it come to alterations, they do a very poor job. I went in to have a formal skirt hemmed and taken in around the waist. When I picked up my skirt I was extremely disappointed and dissatisfied in the work of American Cleaners. When wearing the skirt, one can quickly spot where I had the hem. Inside the skirt was an abundance of material bunched up on both sides to make the skirt smaller. I am not a seamstress, but I could have done a better job. This is the second time I have had to take my alterations elsewhere. I would not and do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I used this place for years before the new owners took over. I had never had any problems with them. I took a newer comforter to the new owners requesting that it be dry cleaned. When picking it up a few days later, my comforter is bunched up on the counter and the lady had split the seams in a couple of places. She had cut out patches of the batting. I stood there in total shock. I asked her what the heck she was doing and she said the comforter was cheaply made and that the batting was bunching up so she had to cut it out. There was no talking to this lady; she just kept saying the same thing over and over and proceeded to get louder and louder. I will never darken the doors of this dry cleaner ever again. It was just too crazy! Note: I bought the same comforter again, same size, same color and I have washed it many times at the laundromat with no bunching. In fact, I am impressed at how nicely this comforter lies after washing and drying. read more

I dropped off my daughters dresses for my wedding on a Monday, they said they would be ready by Friday. The next Monday when I went to pick up the dresses, they did not have them ready. They did not apologize and said come back tomorrow, 10 days before my wedding. I went back the following day. I had my girls then again try on the dresses. They SHRUNK their dresses and now they do not zip up :( Now, my wedding is next week and I hope my seamstress can let out the dresses otherwise I am stuck looking for replacements. The people that work there have terrible customer service and they will ruin your clothes. I paid $138.00 to have them ruin TWO $300.00 dresses. read more

Took my uniform in to have a couple of alterations they totaled the cost of everything told me it would be $11 to get everything done. They had my uniform for a month, never called me to let me know when it was done, I show up to pick it up and they charge me $40 for everything. I tried my uniform on and the patches on the shoulders were not even although I provided them with exact measurements, and the edge of one of the shoulders where they took off a pre-existing patch was done so poorly that you can still see where the old patch was on one shoulder but somehow it's completely fine on the other side. I was very unhappy with the poor work, the fact that it was done wrong, and the fact that the owner ripped me off with the price charging me more then double for simple alterations and never once calling to inform me that the price had changed. I decided to go in and talk with the owner let him know the shoulder straps were not even, I tried the jacket on for him and he said he couldn't even notice a difference. He stood there making excuses for everything I kept saying, not trying to help me or make anything better but trying to cover his ass because he screwed up my uniform and he didn't want to admit it. I tried to talk to him about the price he charged me as well and he just said the original price they gave me which was a total estimate for all the work being done was just a base price, and it had to be changed because the work I needed done was very complicated and took a lot of work. I asked if they could fix what they screwed up and he said they could but they wouldn't get it done in time for the event I needed it for. The owner is very rude, condescending and did nothing to fix the mess they made. Before I left very unhappy he handed me $15 and he said "does that make it better" in a very rude, condescending tone. I needed my jacket fixed so I took it to the sewing room in saint louis Michigan where the sweet lady said she could get my shoulder straps fixed by today, that it was an easy fix and would not take long at all. She also said the shoulder straps were not even at all they were off by an 1.5 inches. No one should go to American cleaners again, the owner is very rude and they did horrible work, everyone should go to the sewing room in saint louis michigan to get their alterations done. They are very kind, and do great work, and they get it done in a timely manner. read more
