Miguel guided me through the whole process, worked directly with my insurance (even though Statefarm was trying not to), and kept me updated as the work progressed. Timely and professional from beginning to end. When i got the car back, I was amazed how much of the original paneling they were able to repair. There was a minor issue in that one of the small BMW badges were installed upside down. We shared a laugh about it and American Autobody was quick to stand by their work and have the issue resolved for me in a very timely manner. Once the insurance company and the repair shop ignored my request and post to yelp 30 days ago., I immediately contacted the BAR. I happened to stop in to get an estimate on a few dent repairs since this is the first auto place I came to on Maggio Circle. I had other places listed to get estimates, but talked to Dan who provided excellent customer service. He looked at all the small areas that I wanted work on and did some buffing and touch up paint repair on a scratch for no charge. He followed up promptly to schedule an appointment with me the same week. First things first Miguel is probably the best guy I have ever worked with in a body shop. We had a broken break light on our Escalade the top light 3rd break light. Took it yesterday and picked up the next day. Not only was it done properly but it was washed it was vacuumed and the tires were all done with a nice shine. I had a great experience with them and Brian. Needed somebody work on my 2001 Honda Civic that has a crappy dull blue paint job after a fender bender. They dealt with the insurance company directly, which made this experience very easy. Basically dropped the car off, talked a bit about the damage and paint matching. Took about a week total for them to replace the bumper and paint, all the while getting period update emails. Once I picked it up, I noticed they washed and detailed the car. I came here after my insurance recommended them for a place to repair my car. Scheduling was really easy and I had no problem with the two week wait to get my car in to repair. However when I did bring my car for a consult the gentleman that met with me seem irritated that I was there. His name was Brian, he did greet me just fine. But when I started asking questions about the process or if certain things were going to be looked into he started to get short with me and started to seem really bothered by me. The quote Miguel gave me was the best out of 3 that I got. They were easy to get my vehicle on their schedule. The repair took about 4 days. When I picked up my vehicle it looked great. It was pretty bright outside, when I got it home I again checked it out in the shade. I noticed 2 small imperfections. I called up Miguel and let him know what I found. He said bring it in so they can look at it. When I brought it in, he came out and checked it out. He said thats definitely theirs. It's possible dirt on clear coat that the polisher should have caught. He grabbed a few things and went to work. He lightly sanded it then polished it up. This all took about 10 minutes. Took my truck in to have 2 parking sensors replaced as the Cadillac dealer said a body shop would be 1/2 the price. Cadillac wanted $1500. Body shop wanted $1,022. I said to go ahead & fix. After installing they couldn't program. I had to take it back to Cadillac & they said the sensors were bad & installed wrong !!!. I went ahead with Cadillac to replace & get it done right. ( they did ) Went back to Dan at the body shop to try & get some kind of credit back for the sensors & he said he told me there was no guarantee on the work & Cadillac is lying about the sensors. I would have never left it with American Body if he told me there was no guarantees. Instead I payed them over $1000 & then payed Cadillac $1,500 Maybe they can do body work??? America AB is the real deal. I have been aware of this shop for 20+ years and have always referred friends and family to the shop. I worked for a rental car company and dealt with a lot of customers with damaged cars. American always had the happiest customers and almost never had anyone needing to take cars back for repair issues. I recently had my personal car hit in a parking lot. My review is based on my experience on March 21, 2017. I made my appointment several weeks out because they were so busy but I agreed to wait the time. When making my appointment I specifically stated who would cover liability and Manual agreed to contact the insurance company. Fast forward to nearly 30 days later on the day of my appointment I was made aware that Manual had never contacted the insurance company. Now for this appointment I asked my mother to follow me down from her home in which is 50 damn mins away in the rain. Not to mention I had to also bring my infant out in the weather because there was no way I was missing this appointment since it took so long to get. With in the 30 days no one called me to say "hey we lost the contact info to the insurance company can you please provide it again?" So in turn I arrive and I'm told "sorry we never did it so I'll call you next week when we can get you in." In lieu of losing my sh*t I got up and walked out! This is beyond inconsiderate and unprofessional!! This needs to be addressed with your staff. To not consider my time is not okay! This is an epic fail on American Auto Body's part. The sad part is I came back to you all because you repaired my husbands car just a few months prior. Yelper's, I've since moved to have another company repair my vehicle because no one who treats their customers with such disregard should continue to get my business or others in this case. read more
