Absolute Worst Buying Experience of My Friend's Life…read more She purchased a brand new RV for her 60th birthday, expecting it to be an exciting milestone. Instead, it turned into the most frustrating and disappointing buying experience she's ever had. She paid $140,000 for an RV that was delivered straight from the factory to Optimum RV in Bushnell Florida. You would think that kind of money would come with a certain level of quality and service--unfortunately, that was not the case. To start, the sales representative was great... right up until she signed the paperwork. After that, she was completely dropped. No follow-up, no support--nothing. The RV itself had numerous issues. Some were clearly quality control failures from the manufacturer, while others were simple fixes that should have been handled easily by the dealership. What makes this even worse is that the dealership had the RV for THREE WEEKS prior to her scheduled walkthrough and pickup appointment. When she arrived (one hour early), she was blamed for the issues not being resolved--as if showing up early somehow prevented them from fixing problems they had weeks to address. That excuse alone tells you everything you need to know about their accountability. The service advisor was patronizing, dismissive, and completely unhelpful. Instead of working toward solutions, she was met with attitude and excuses. The general manager showed zero interest in making things right. Rather than standing behind their product and service, they wanted to charge her a service fee just to send someone out to fix problems that should have been resolved before delivery. Then they told her she would need to bring the RV back--and that it would likely take more than a day. Let me be clear: she LIVES in her RV full-time. She doesn't have a house to go back to. This was completely disregarded. In the end, she had to hire her own service technician, who is now dealing directly with the manufacturers because going through this dealership was a complete waste of time. For a $140,000 purchase, the lack of professionalism, accountability, and basic customer care is unacceptable. Avoid Optimum RV in Bushnell Florida at all costs!

Five Stars for Lazy Day's R.V. and Service Director Marissa!…read moreWe cannot say enough wonderful things about Lazy Day's R.V. in Wildwood, FL, and especially their incredible Service Director, Marissa! While traveling back home to California, we experienced a flat tire and had Ace Wrecker Service of Orlando come to help. Unfortunately, during the process, all 8 of our studs and lug nuts were stripped, leaving us stranded and in a stressful situation. When we reached out to Lazy Day's R.V., Marissa immediately took our call. Even though she explained that their team doesn't typically perform this type of repair, she didn't stop there. She kindly asked for a few minutes to see how she could assist--and true to her word, she called back shortly with a solution. Marissa connected us with Drew, the Service Director at 75 Chrome Shop, who took us in right away. Thanks to her quick thinking and willingness to go the extra mile, our repairs were completed, and we were back on the road within just a couple of hours. This level of care and dedication is a shining example of what real customer service should be. Marissa went above and beyond the call of duty to help travelers in need, and we are truly grateful. Lazy Day's R.V., you are very lucky to have Marissa on your team. High, high praises from us--thank you for turning a stressful situation into a positive experience!

Our experience with Campers Inn of Leesburg was hands-down one of the worst service experiences we…read morehave ever had and one of the worst I've personally experience in my 38 years on this planet. Grech (our RV brand) connected us with this location back in December after a Texas dealer could not complete the required repairs to our unit after it sitting there for 3 weeks. We were scheduled to drop off our van on a Monday, only to be called the Friday before and told not to come because they "didn't have all the parts." This was despite the fact that those parts had been delivered on January 7th and receipt acknowledged by this location. They claimed for days they never received our replacement door which was the biggest repair we needed. Grech had it built and shipped to their location for installation. This door was shipped ahead of time, clearly labeled and confirmed as ours. Campers Inn then: * Spent days insisting they never received it * We had multiple staff members deny its existence and literally gaslight us * The woman working in parts the day we dropped off was so unapologetically rude to us and very upset when we asked about it * Only to finally find out that they installed OUR door on another customer's van due to their negligence. That admission came only after Grech escalated the issue to Campers Inn's sales manager, Tyler. Once Tyler was involved, we finally began receiving updates--something we had been repeatedly asking for with little to no response prior to escalation with their service department. We specifically asked both David and Michael to provide daily status updates because we are traveling the U.S. full-time and live in our van, meaning we had to stay in a hotel while our unit was in their possession. We need to make appropriate arrangements and we had a friend's wedding that same weekend. Despite explaining this clearly, there was no sense of urgency or empathy. Instead, Michael spent 10 minutes complaining about how difficult Grech is to work with, repeatedly stating that all of the issues were "Grech's fault," rather than focusing on resolving the situation or communicating with us. He also spent another 5 minutes badmouthing the management of that location saying this is also their fault because they interacted with Grech directly. Because of Campers Inn's mistake with the door, we now have to wait another three weeks for a new made-to-order door to be built and shipped. So with shipping, at least another month. Our interactions with Service Manager David Sapp were particularly troubling. David demonstrated zero customer service awareness and spent the majority of every interaction explaining what he was not responsible for and what was "not his job." Literally his words every time. He appeared largely clueless about the status of our unit, parts, or repairs--yet somehow had no problem calling us simply to tell us not to show up for our scheduled appointment. At one point, David spent over 30 minutes explaining that it is not his job to know where parts are, find parts, track parts, or assist in obtaining parts, stating his "only" responsibility is checking customers in and out. In my mind, parts and service should be working in harmony since these two these logically often go hand in hand. This attitude perfectly encapsulates the dysfunction of this service department. It gets worse. The first night our van was there, David left it unlocked with the keys inside, despite us explicitly telling him multiple times at drop-off to make sure it was locked. All of our personal belongings were inside. At 10 PM, we had to remotely lock the van from our phone. The next morning, David texted us in a panic because he couldn't find the keys--keys that he himself had left inside an unlocked vehicle. (Now this honestly makes me giggle because what a foolish mistake.) Communication throughout this process was abysmal. Phones go unanswered. Messages go unreturned. Information constantly changed depending on who you spoke to. To make matters worse, the parts and service staff openly bad-mouthed their own management during interactions with us, which is wildly unprofessional. When my husband finally picked up our van yesterday afternoon, we found: * Lithium batteries dangerously low at 35% despite us leaving the battery kill switch off and no electrical work being done. Seriously guys????? * A toilet seat bolt that was claimed to be fixed twice, but was not done at all nor their responsibility (per David Sapp) * Being told at pickup that the technician "didn't have time" and had already left for the day even though our unit had been there Monday - Friday. We literally just need it tightened or the bolt replaced. The most minuscule repair, they couldn't accomplish. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone. We have had far better experiences at General RV in other states. We will never bring our unit back here. Absolutely not.

We had to fight hard to get what we wanted but for the most part we left satisfied. During the walkthrough we knew nothing about the lights and the graphs and the meters showing what was on, what was running and what the current levels were. We initially saw the RV a month before we bought it. There was damage on it after our initial viewing so they needed another 2 weeks to repair it. I am not sure how long they had it before we first looked at it but we didn't pick it up for at least 6 weeks after we first saw it and loved it. With all that being said, we found out after we brought it home and learned a lil about the thing that those graphs on the wall. Those were the levels in the tanks. The black tank was FULL. 53 gallons full. Full with someone else's feces in it and for how long? At least 6 weeks since we had first seen the thing. Then there was the gray tank. That's where the shower and sinks drain. It was 2/3rds full. At least 40 gallons. Not as gross as the tank full of someone else's crap but shouldn't have been 2/3rd's full. Then there's the fresh tank. It was 2/3rds full of around 60 gallons of stagnant water that had been sitting in there for who knows how long. After I bought all the equipment and gained all the knowledge I spent 4 hours today flushing these tanks out and their vile content. I have to do a siphon treatment to feed some bleach mixture into the fresh water tank so that I can kill any bacteria that grew in there. I will go to a dump station. Fill it with water and bleach. Park it back at storage and then 12 hours later go back to the dump station so I can get all the germs and stuff out. I will run the faucets to get my bleach solution into the gray tank and then dump the gray tank and the fresh water tank to empty so I know all the bacteria is gone. We truly don't understand who would sell an RV and not clean it out. They said they inspected it? Really? How well if you missed the tanks. My review would have been 5 stars but it's hard to get past someone else's crap in my newly purchased used RV.

Scheduling, ordering the parts that were back ordered and constant communication with each other regarding the parts coming in on time the whole experience was great. I arrived the night before, and I was able to sleep in the motorhome so once they opened, I was able to get in right away. He even had some parts shipped to his house for our Monday morning appointment. The technician which, unfortunately I don't remember his name, but he was superb. Immediately got on my motorhome and just worked methodically all the way through. It was very nice because they have a sitting room in the garage area where I could sit with my three dogs and watch very comfortably. Now I have to say in route from Naples to Bellevue I had a heck of a time driving. My motorhome drifted left to right and took every contour in the road and I could fill it. Particularly when an 18 wheeler will go buy me. It would push me then it would pull me back-and-forth making it a very difficult drive and of course nerve-racking. The technician knew exactly what I was talking about installed additional equipment and made the necessary adjustments and then we went for a ride. Just the technician and myself and Ani issues we were discussing pulled over on the side of the road. He crawled up underneath and made an adjustment and then back on the road and it was as if I was driving a completely different motorhome. After dropping the technician off at the shop and of course paying the bill and driving back home down interstate 75 it was absolutely amazing! I was literally able to drive with one hand on the wheel, which I know is not right, but it was just to show what an amazing change. So what was done? I had four new shocks put on, airbag stabilizers and the best thing was the steering arm stabilizer, which is like a giant shock absorber that reduces over correcting and makes the entire motorhome handle differently. My thanks to Tom and the technician for doing such a wonderful job, you have changed my traveling lifestyle.
