Nachos Ameca
Greg H.

On a weekend get-out-of-Memphis road trip, we were hungry while passing through the little 'burg of Marianna. It was either here or Sonic. Right choice. Just Tex-Mex, but quality ingredients. Manuel provided great service. Had the Nachos Ameca. Not shabby.

Chimi, rice and beans, yum!

Service is amazing. Great cheese dip and salsa. We had a very large group and they kept up with our drinks and any other needs.

Also the house margarita is a favorite of all the margaritas in town. It is a lot better than what you'd get at any other restaurant.

Like a cafeteria. Advice: darken like casa Mexicana. Sat at the bar. Seats super tacky with their names. Too bright and need more booths. Chips. Better than el charro and casa grande. Crunchy crispy without being too thick. Cheese dip. Better than el charro. Thicker. And much bigger bowl for same price. Why are restaurants to super cheap with cheese dip Serving sizes? It can't be that expensive. This place does cheese dip right. Service. Super amazing. As good as casa mexicana. And so much better than el charro. El Charro service has begin to suck. Margaritas so many flavors of frozen which is my favorite. Casa mexicana great reg margarita. El charro super mango margarita. This place great strawberry marg and cheaper than the others. Food. Husband had tacos beans and rice. Super average. Below quality of el charro. Me. I had the rice and grilled veggies and mushrooms. I have to say. Better than el charro. Would go back again. Primarily for service. And next chips and cheese dip. Next margaritas. And lastly food. No

Hubby and I were really impressed by this place. My roommate got the mushroom quesadilla and noted…read morethat it tasted different than at our usual Mexican restaurant. They use a different seasoning here or something. He said it was a nice change. Hubby and I split the Pollo Fundido because we were in the area to see a movie and couldn't take any leftovers with us. It was enough to fill us both up and was good enough I could have eaten the entire thing by myself. The chicken was grilled perfectly and was delightfully juicy. We also split the Guacamole and hubby said it was served Mexican-style, which is where you don't smoosh the avocados all together but rather leave them chopped up. It was very good but hubby said needed salt. I didn't feel the need to add any until I got about half way through it but I'm not a big salt person. It was a fun outing and we really enjoyed ourselves. We would definitely return if we were in the area and wanting Mexican food! Loved: - Pollo Fundido (without mushrooms) Liked: - Guacamole - Salsa Ok: - Spicy Salsa (on request)

I might be doing something wrong when I order but this place is gross. Lowest, of low quality. Maybe it is so far away from the normal world that this is actually good food to you people. I don't mean to speak down on folks, but damn. This place is crap on a plate. Nothing I have had was remotely good. Last time I went I was so bad I just gave up and got the check. Chips suck. Half are inedible, but they all look the same so it's a chip Russian roulette. Salsa is the lowest form, and frankly should be called something else, eww. So bad. I'm not bashing any more. You get it. It's also run down and dirty, so there is that too. People are fairly nice though so that's cool. Don't listen to me though, what do I know? But all you Adam's, (alternates and future) better stay your tails away. '24 - 71/102
