Super-cute place! Very clean! We were seated right away and had good service throughout our visit. My husband had the grilled chicken chimi & I had House Pineapple with chicken, beef, & shrimp in a 1/2 pineapple with a queso drizzle. Oh, it was delicious!! Everything was really good! Nice crispy chips & queso with good flavor! This was definitely a great stop for dinner based on other Yelpers recommendations.

Just passing though , we are on our way back from a trip to visit my oldest daughter , we wanted something yummy and the queso was so delicious. Service was outstanding and the place was quiet for a Sat night but overall the food was amazing and I recommend.. we were told they are the only Mexican food for 50 miles .. give them a try .. and thank me later !

Great stop on our way East. Saw the positive reviews and decided to try. Glad we did! Everything was excellent! Quick to be seated and presented with chips & salsa along with drink order. Nice decore and who can resist the cuteness of the name and donkey? Probably took 7 minutes for meal- I got the chimi/beef, he got the patriot burrito with chicken. Everything was very fresh and delicious! All reasonably priced so we highly recommend. Will certainly stop again when we are in the area.

Stopped here on the way back from San Antonio. Food was absolutely delicious! Having ate at a substantial amount of Mexican restaurants in my life this would rank among the top ten easily. Portions were huge. Appetizers were delicious and chips fresh. Will be stopping by again when I'm passing through. Well worth the 2 minute drive off the interstate.

If you're ever in Palestine, stop by the Crazy Donkey to eat. They really produce quality, made from scratch food. The waitresses really work as a team, and will get you anything that you need!

So, this restaurant is located in Palestine, Arkansas, population 660. I'm not sure there is another restaurant in town except the Subway inside of Love's truck stop. As a result, this place offers a little bit of every type of food, from fried fish to pizza (and Mexican) . The service was very fast and friendly in a laid back atmosphere. We opted for Mexican. I honestly can't say much about the food. Mostly it was just average. The flour tortillas are not house made and were barely warm, the refried beans didn't have much seasoning. That said, it's a cute little place, especially if you're not sure what you want to eat!

Here's the Facebook post that stated it started yesterday.

I Went to get pizzas because it was advertised in 2 different places that I could get 2 medium pizzas for $15. It was advertised on Facebook that it started yesterday and when I went to the restaurant it was on the sign out front and they still wouldn't honor it. So I just ordered some Mexican rice and it was cold and soggy and the plastic utensils, that are prepackaged, was open and missing the spoon. Not at all the service I was expecting from a business whose motto is "A passion for serving."

This is the street taco plate with shredded steak and a special chili sauce! The fries were deep fried and no salt crispy as could be!

We exited the interstate after reading reviews on the Crazy Donkey. We were looking for something different on the road from Little Rock to Memphis and there it was... at Palestine, Arkansas just 30 minutes west of Memphis! This is a gem of a place! It wasn't busy on this Monday early afternoon but we were treated like we were the only customers in the place! Friendly courteous and the food was ready hot and on the table in less than 10 minutes! Fresh food. Hot food. Good tasting like NOT out of a box good food but just now cooked to order crispy where it's supposed to be crispy and tender where it's supposed to be tender! I asked for no extra salt and just a sliced avocado added to my dish and they prepared it exactly as I asked. Service was excellent and it was a really great choice and a very good decision. Just out of sight from the highway and over the railroad tracks to the left. You can't miss the crazy donkey when you get there! What a fun thing to do along the way!

Saw the reviews on yelp on our way back to TN. The service was really good and the food tasted fresh and hot. Good Tex mex here for sure.

I ordered enchiladas with red sauce, rice and beans. They use ground beef in their enchiladas and I despise that. So I asked them If they could use birria meat instead and just charge me accordingly. They obliged. When I received my food I felt like it was a joke. Like my 10 year old went in the kitchen and tried to cook me enchiladas, and that was her masterpiece. Actually no it was actually created from the cooks at this place. The place looks like a dump from the outside but inside is quite nice. It was really pretty and the music was just right. The guy who took my order didnt speak English so I talked to him in Spanish but if you don't speak Spanish the guy running the register speaks great English. Speaking of this guy! When I tried to swap the plate of enchiladas, sorry let me rephrase that. When I tried to swap the birria wrapped in corn tortillas with salsa (the exact same salsa they serve the chips with before the meal) poured on top. It was insulting. The server then told me I had to pay for the enchiladas even though I was ordering tacos. I said no way. He gave me the check and sent me to the English speaking manager at the front. The manager said somebody is going to have to pay for it. I told him he is ridiculous. I'll pay for my drinks and I'll go eat somewhere else. He kept asking me whois going to pay for it. That if I think it's fair that the server has to pay for it. Did this guy think I was stupid? Did he really think i was going to pay for something of THAT QUALITY? Did he really think I thought he was going to pay for it? I asked for the owners name and contact info and he did not want to give it to me. I said im calling the police. He then said "OK, I'll go ahead and pay the money for the food for you!. I said if that's what you want. Fine. Paid him his drink money, tipped the server and will NEVER come back to this place. I highly advise you to go to the taco bell right in front. This place, Los Pinos is absolute trash. The manager, the quality of food... all of it.
