    Large Cheese Dip

Quick Summary - Solid 4 star Mexican restaurant - Cheese dip is good, salsa is so so - Entrees are good - Very good service - Good value - ~ 2 miles off I40 exit in Forrest City So I'm driving down I40 heading east and getting close to Memphis. It's lunch and I have a hankering for some Mexican food. Why? I don't know. East Arkansas is better known for BBQ, catfish and good old Southern comfort food but I had something different in mind. So we go on Yelp and found Moctzuma Grill. 4 Stars in Forrest City? Okay, I'll give it a shot. Now it was further off I40 than what I wanted to travel (~2 miles) but it turned out to be worth the extra distance. Recommend the cheese dip. Salsa is just okay. Fajita taco salad was very good and they did not skimp on the guacamole or sour cream. Recommend!

No mi gusta! Two out of 5 stars because of the great customer service and cold glass for my beer. I ordered a 3 item combo. This is the first time I've ever ordered a Mexican meal (not appetizer or side dish) and the beans, house salad and rice was extra and not part of the combo. Both plates arrived hot but food was lukewarm. The beef "burrito" was a cold tortilla with meat rolled inside. That's it. The cheese "enchilada" was a cold tortilla (I'm starting to notice a theme) with partly melted mozzarella cheese inside. It was reminiscent of a bootleg quesadilla. The tamale was decent but dry. The plate arrived with a weird white cheese sauce which was not listed in the description, if so I would have asked for it to be omitted and requested a traditional red or green sauce which makes more sense. The chips were homemade but not warm and the salsa tasted and looked very similar to the store brand Picante with extra cilantro thrown in...with a claim to fame of "Authentic Mexican Food" I was looking forward to a memorable dining experience but it was far below my expectations...and it was not busy so that's not a valid excuse. I will try again and order a different item in the hopes 1) they see this review and make improvements and/or 2) it was a bad night...

Great food; great service. Tortilla chips were hot and the accompanying salsa was good. Had the shrimp chimichanga and a margarita. Both were excellent. The rice had an unexpected kick (spice) to it that I liked. Building was massive (used to be a KFC) and clean, yet pretty empty - probably because it was a cold night.

Went there and ordered the "ranchero special" the menu say comes with chicken AND shrimp they only put chicken then when I called he hung up on me so I went back and they put THREE shrimp in my food... I started to ask for a refund but he was acting like he couldn't comprehend simple English

Cheese Enchilada and Chicken Tamale combo!

This was a great find as we were passing through and didn't want another fast food meal! The home made chips and salsa to start were excellent along with a cup of hot queso. The chicken quesedilla was a very large portion and perfect for sharing. They also had a great selection of combination platters and enjoyed a Cheese Enchilada and Chicken Tamale combo that was delicious. In addition to the great food the prices were excellent as well which is why I didn't mind too much that they charged us $.75 for a glass of water. The only caution in this establishment is the restroom... it needs some TLC. However overall it was a wonderful experience with great food, prices and a friendly staff.

Iguanas Mexican Restaurant - Chicken fajita salad. Sour cream and guacamole included.

Forest City was fast approaching, so we pulled up Google and discovered Iguanas Mexican restaurant. I guess that it was appropriate that we chose Mexican food for our dinner fare. After seeing the corona of the sun, it's only fitting that a Corona beer be ordered. But I didn't. I ordered a Dos XX instead. Corona is Mexican Budwieser. We were seated immediately and presented with menus displaying food choices printed top to bottom. And I mean top to bottom! Bring your glasses for there's so many selections from which to choose crammed onto that laminated card stock. My eye managed to ferret out a promising entree. The Burrito Grande. Steak, onions, peppers, beans, cheese, served with guacamole and sour cream on the side. Rice also came with it. When it arrived at our table, I was a little underwhelmed as to its size. Grande, it was not. Maybe it was Grande to the person who served it to me, for he was small in stature. But to a tall, strapping young senior citizen, it fell short of being grandiose in size. However, in taste, it was. So I'll give them a pass on the description. It was deliciously tasty. The grandkids had tacos and scrumptious looking enchiladas. Those left mere rings on the plates after they were done. I think that they enjoyed theirs as much as I did mine. Don't be dissuaded by its location. Iguanas is in a very nondescript strip mall. It's more deserving of a building of its own. But who am I to guess. I have no idea what rental rates are in the hamlet of Forrest City. For all I know, it may be prime real estate for the region. Go there and enjoy. They even have a small store inside where one can find an array of all things south of the border. Quick Tip: When searching for the restaurant across the vastness of the strip mall parking lot, look low for their sign. At the time of this reviews writing the sign over the restaurant looked like it was lost in a windstorm. No worry, though. The food will blow you away.

Glad we did as the business had family engaged in their business and it showed in our food quality. Great job Iguanas, we will certainly stop there each visit on our travels to this location! No margaritas avail., but beer is, in case that matters (food more important to us)!
