This movie theater literally sucks, they need to clean better, the seats are so SQUEAKY god forbid I have to use the restroom during the movie. The whole theater is going to hear me. The theater isn't packed right now and there's popcorn everywhere and don't even get me started on how small the screen is but how BIG the room is. I had a really great experience at this theatre location. I came in a Tuesday to take advantage of their $7 movie specials. This is so worth it and I definitely recommend if you're trying to save money! The theatre itself is very clean, modern, and spacious. They have reclining seats that are super comfortable. Staff are also friendly and were extremely helpful when we tried to make an exchange for a ticket we previously purchased. The bathrooms are also huge (and really well maintained), so no long lines! read more

Theater was in good shape. The large reclining seats are great and the little table for your food/drink is also great. My only complaint was that the movie started more than 20 minutes after the official start time and the audience had to sit through at least a half dozen ads for the AMC chain and an endless parade of coming attractions. read more

I had a really nice experience at this theatre. Went to see Joker on a Sunday night. Ordered our tickets online in the morning and reserved seats, so finding a good place to watch wasn't an issue. Not that it would be anyway. They did a complete renovation and put in reclining chairs and such so you get the full experience no matter where you sit. Concessions were your normal theatre fare, but they also had what looked like more high end food and a bar. Apparently you can order food and they bring it to you in the theatre. I didn't use that service though. Didn't use the restroom. Parking was easy. Noise level and cleanliness of the theatre were standard. Four stars. read more

This is a small town movie theater with grandeous services. Decent food (extremely expensive) wine and regular snacks The seats are incredibly comfortable maybe a little to comfortable. I had to be woken up when whatever the movie I was watching dragged on. If you are deaf and go to theater they really try to accommodate but they equipment they have needs to be updated. It's a movie theater so there's not a whole lot to say. The seats are spacious and much comfier than the traditional ones. The food is fine and there's more options now but still a little pricey. It's definitely an improvement. The pretzel is good. The mozzarella sticks are too but you get 6 sticks for $7 which seems a little silly. Reserved reclining seats installed in 2017! The parking lot is way too small for peak times, but it's always free. Six theaters with not the biggest screens but good sound. (But again, those seats! I will pick comfy chairs over larger screens, every time.) They also offer a full menu with pizza and other kitchen entrees as well as a full bar. Brand new bathrooms but old school manual flushing seemed out of a place, ha! The cashiers appear to be trying to please, but can be a little slow/understaffed. This is WAY better than the Bow Ties in Stamford. Love the plush reclining seats. I went and saw Deadpool this weekend and the showtime was mostly sold out so we got seats in the front first row. For most movie theaters, this would be a horrible experience and end in a sprained neck but because of the nice recline in these seats I actually felt very comfortable watching even though it was the front row. For food and drinks, I ordered a margarita pizza and a spicy margarita carafe. The pizza was good, and no joke the spicy margarita drink was one of the best margaritas I've ever had! I'm very surprised as I didn't expect much considering it's a drink from a movie theater. The carafe was definitely a great price (I think it was $22) for the amount to have to drink to watch a long movie. Loved the nice Deadpool themed stirrers and coasters to go with the theme of the movie. Now that I've just moved to Norwalk this will definitely be my go-to theater! read more

Ever since they renovated the place, I go every week! The red seats are THE BEST!!! Now it's hard to go to a different bow tie with regular seats after getting used to the comfort of the red ones. This is a nice place to watch movies. The parking here is always good and you do not have to pay to park like you do at the bow tie 8 in Norwalk. They have all the same deals as a regular movies like cheaper movies and snacks on Tuesdays. It is usually pretty quiet there unless something big just came out. The only time I think I went there and it was sold out was back when monsters inc came out and that was a pretty long time ago :). The inside of this place is nice and clean. It never smells or has sticky seats. They even have a little party area if you want to have a birthday party for your kids. The only thing I dont like is that they put the women's bathroom all the way on the opposite side of the movie rooms so you have to walk really far and then rush back to the movie before you miss something good. read more

I wish this movie theater chain (Bow Tie) would give up their monopoly on Fairfield County. This chain is obnoxious since they're operating like a small movie house but they have enough theaters (8) to be in competition with places like Leows AMC, Clearview Cinemas, and other big theater companies. The lines to get your tickets are loooong. The prices at Bow Tie are atrocious but you kind of have to grin and bear it since they're the ONLY set of cinemas showing main-stream movies. They currently charge $10.50 per adult ticket at prime time, so a $20 no longer covers 2 tickets. A small popcorn will run you another $5.50. I simply can't afford to go to the movies here. This branch of Bow Tie has an extra special surprise in store for you. Parking is incredibly hard to find in this area of Norwalk, and you get to pay for the privilege of being near the theater. The lot behind the theater serves pretty much the whole down-town area so once you get in there, it's still a pain in the ass to find a spot. So, if you're going for a night showing, expect to shell out another $2 - $3 for parking. read more

Intro credits said something about "Bow Tie Cinemas.. great movie going experience, with old time charm." Translation: No stadium seating. In fact, the seats may be from the 90s, at least. Not overally comfortable. Snack display also seems to be out of the 90s. Dingy colors. Needs to be upgrade to the Hollywood style lighting. And the bathrooms are outside of the ropes where you have to give your ticket to get into the theater. Terrible set up. Hopefully Norwalk gets a Cinema-de-Lux soon! Or Bow Tie uses their ticket sales to get rid of the old time charm, and bring in some 2013 Hollywood style. Ok, the funniest thing about seeing a movie in this dump is that they have the nerve of having the tag-line: "Bringing style and elegance back to the movie going experience." That is like the Catholic church saying over their front door: "we welcome everyone." Nice marketing but you don't even come close to living up to it. Bow Tie is a dump. They show you commercials that seem endless before the movie. Then punch you in the face with over 7 previews. Always go there in the evening time, Staff are nice, place are recently renovated, Brand new reclining seats installed in 2017, very nice and comfortable. Good choice of snack, food and drink. I just had the most amazing customer service experience at the Royale 6 Bowtie Cinemas on Westport Ave, Norwalk, CT. After arriving as The Wolf of Wall Street was starting, I was notified by Anne, the manager, that there would be nothing but front row seats in the theaters. Disheartened by the news that I wouldn't be able to enjoy the movie, Anne gave me the opportunity to check to see what seats were available in the theater, free of charge. I ended up finding seats for my friend and I (not in the front row), but I truly appreciated Anne giving me the complimentary tickets to ensure that I enjoyed my time at Royale 6. I will definitely be heading to the cinemas again soon and recommend it to my friends for such a friendly and thoughtful customer experience. read more

Just took my son to see the movie Goosebumps at this location. That movie was amazing but back to my review. Staff is super friendly and great at reminding me when I have a free ticket, popcorn,ect.. on my Criterion Club memberships. Believe it or not I will earn them but forget to use them. =( .... It helps that they tell me every time when I am buying my tickets so I love that about them. Very clean place a large number of bathrooms and both sides so I never have to waste time in line. They now carry Jack and Harry popcorn ...delicious. read more

Went to see 'Hugo' in 3D this afternoon. Ironically, this sweet film about the magic and wonder of cinema was a miserable viewing experience. The screen was tiny and the sound from the film next door permeated through the thin walls. The projection framing was off and clipped the top part of the frame and gave the actors haircuts in the close ups (you could see the missing portion faintly in the upper black masking). Also the end titles where suddenly cut off and house lights where turned on. Maybe I expect too much for a $13 matinee. read more

Great update to the much needed Royale 6 theater in Norwalk. I must say that I am presently surprised. Not only by the comfy reclining seats, yummy restaurant styled food, variety of made in house gourmet popcorn flavors, and full bar with plenty great house cocktails to choose from, but surprised with the price of it all as well as the team pulling it off. I must say that the combination of the aforementioned are the reasons in which I continue to visit and spread the word about this theater! Everything is fantastic. From the seats, to the bathrooms, to the employees. The presentation is amazing! I will admit that I was not the biggest fan of reserved seating at first, but it has grown on me, along with purchasing my tickets on atom. I no longer have to use the never working Bow Tie Cinemas website or fandango which always shows the wrong seating map. I visit this theater at least twice a week. Not only is Bow Tie ridiculously pricey, it is also about 20 years behind the other chains in providing a pleasant movie going experience. The theaters are old, and there's no stadium seating and in many cases no state-of-the-art sound system. We moved here from the West about a year ago, and the sorry state of movie theaters here has amazed us. Their marketing phrase is..."theater going the way it used to be, only better.". The first part of that statement is definitely true...it's like going to a theater in about 1978. read more

This place was amazing - the seats were super comfy and recline, however the pillow pushes your head forward a bit and was uncomfortable to begin with until you get used to it. I would also say that the tickets are slightly more expensive in exchange for the luxury of the seating. read more
